You are in full control of your thoughts. Now you have acknowledged that it is something that needs working on, the thing to do is to reinforce why it is unnecessary to be married with kids with the current landscape. You have to make it a habit since it is very easy to get back to the plantation.

I chortle like a dumbass personally. I work at a hospital with nurses and it is what I do. Don't bring up sexually charged convos and just feign stupidity if they bring it up.

Psychological manipulation, gaslighting, bait and switch, subversion and so on. Guilt trip to put the idea in their heads that makes them stew over it.

Valentine's Day is just another day. Demystify it and relegate it to a place of the ordinary. For me, it is just another workday with specials in chocolate.

Not important. I just treat myself that day whether I am working or not or just wait the same day or next day with markdowns on candy.

Oh for sure, man! Like marriage is so very low on my list. That said kids are slightly higher but unless I am financially well-off to provide for them, it's off the table too. Plus I am enjoying my freedom so damn much!

Women here in the west are more or less done with small pockets of decency. It doesn't matter which race and ethnicity they are; feminism is rife here and it will take some time before the idea is scaled back (Don't think it will disappear). If you still want a relationship though overseas, not only vet but move up your timetable. Feminism has reached international shores and is growing fast.

If you are to bulk, any complex carbohydrate will do so usually yams, brown rice and the like will do. Anything refined is a no go.

Precisely this. For just being male and having sexual urges, women not only shame us for this but some of the more predatory ones will use this to their advantage (baby trap, family court and so on). At one point I tried to live the "suppresses sexual desire and the urge to fuck" but that's not feasible at all in the long term.

Exactly. Do not save up just to attract a woman's attention. Spend it instead on hobbies and passions independent of women.

Work a minimum wage job. Save up for anything trades. Live minimally, have a large nest. Retire to South America. You're just 27. You have lots of time.

I usually just reply indifferently. "You probably can't get girls!" "lol sure" They pry, I shut it down clinically. Not everything needs an answer.

Different hobby, keeping a low profile. Dunno, maybe things have changed and I may tie the knot (not full MGTOW myself). Plan is basically have cash, have time for the most part.

Congrats on finally letting go. Don't rely on the hope strategy on all romantic relationships; sometimes it turns out in a circus like you've experienced. Be blunt, be honest and straightforward. Don't walk on egg shells hoping she will turn her head your way. Doesn't and never usually works like that.

I surmise that it's because of slang usage all across the board whereas immigrants try to learn proper grammar and the like to be able to convey thoughts and ideas clearly to north americans. My struggle as an immigrant has always been the oral part. I am very self-conscious on how I speak as to not get the wrong ideas across. Plus I got the lisp when I was young so I got bullied for that.

Not yours, just your turn. "She's my best friend" Nah, she's someone you dated for a year. Nothing more than that. Since you are definitely bothered her past, cut things off. It will hurt like a motherfucker but it's either you stay with her and harbor resentment or embrace peace of mind and cut things off.

That's pedophilia. But the courts won't care since it's a lady. Probably will make a thousand justifications too since if they operated "normally" they will lose their jobs. To take advantage of someone due to hormones, absolutely repulsive.

In a physical sense, a human with a penis. A pair of XY chromosomes. They have more muscle mass and usually on average, taller than women. In a metaphysical sense, a man for me is someone who endures hardship, excels in industry of all kinds, is protective of his loved ones and is a pillar and a vital cornerstone of society and civilization, both that will surely collapse if they withdraw involvement.

Sounds like what Coach Greg Adams put up in a video earlier. They raise their sons not to be independent, self-sustaining, masculine men but utterly dependent, subservient to them. Also a retirement plan. I personally have not experienced this since I still have both my parents married together. They (yes even my mother) have taught me the value of thinking for yourself.

So you come here to learn about.. what exactly? Do you realize that all you may learn here will be contrasted with having a girl in your life? Have you come here to gawk and to point and laugh and call us incels because we can't get pussy? If you want information about the philosophy in the lens of someone in a relationship, quora seems to be a good choice. Otherwise, you are welcome. Remove your relationship-centric glasses before you give your opinion and things will be smooth sailing.

Oh, I still have relationships with them. Working and professional. The other types are a risk nowadays and isn't beneficial to you. You are only loved when you provide something. If sex is your aim, just be blunt with your intentions and be okay with them leaving/disagreeing.

Oversaturated. Majority of women will not reach six figures and beyond the more sign ups happen. The lucky ones are the ones who got in early, the rest won't cut it. I find it absolutely ironic that in this modern era that they can get degrees and jobs that they will still rely on the oldest profession when things get tough for them. I have my personal reservations about women just going back to prostituting themselves and claiming they are strong and independent but that's just for me. But no, …

I just wear black all the time. Solid black shirt, black jeans or joggers (for work or errands), black trail shoes. Yellow hoodie. But if I wanna dress up then yeah, I just put on a polo shirt on top, boots and a leather jacket. Nothing fancy and sure to not grab attention from the opposite sex.

"Ah, very nice." "I am working through it." In what context? Ignored in the job? I get their attention again to proceed. Ignored as not being relationship material? So what? It doesn't matter. Once you separate reacting emotionally and reacting with clinical laconically, you're on your way.

Very simple. Politely decline through making an excuse of "I just lucked out, dunno what other places are hiring." When she asks you to look for her, just say you're busy doing other things. If she shames you for it, don't fall for the emotional turmoil; respond clinically and detachment: "As I have said, I don't have time. Good luck out there." "Men undervaluing themselves" That is what happens when society continually brow beats men for years and decades, telling them they aren't worth shit despite their immense contributions to society and livelihood. At some point some men will just accept the negativity; some will rebel against it through various means, overt or otherwise.

Not really. The main precepts are no long term, no marriage and no kids due to current laws. Enjoy your relationship but do know your partner can leave at any time and that should be okay with that.

It's easier to become a non-simp once you realize, internalize the following things: Women aren't special. They're people; they shit, they fart, they pick their nose, they cheat in relationships, they make mistakes and so on. In today's age, modern women espouse equality. They're equal to us now. Gentlemanly behaviours are now a thing of the past: don't hold doors, pull chairs, help them with a flat tire (tell 'em to call Triple A), that sort of shit. The shit we see in movies with the gentleman…

For me, I refocus my goals and purpose. Before it was women and trying everything to net them because of conditioning to baby steps to self-reliance, true autonomy devoid of hate for women (I however am very indifferent to them) and financial success. Also hobbies and the promise to myself to be as strong as I am when I am 25-30 when I am in my 40s.

When you can stand on your own two feet without someone's help or being provided for by either agency or individual that's when you know you can make it out here in this world. Good for you! The world is a hard place, especially as a man when society doesn't give a damn what you are and what you feel. You have survived on your own merits. Respect.

Well, we're all equal now aren't we? They make their own money too. Women should ask us out, risk and deal with rejection without resorting to violence and shaming. They should take us out on trips, wine and dine us and buy us stuff to ensure our happiness. Hell, they should even sign a prenup with you and defiantly agree despite what the lawyers tell her to have all assets split 50-50 in a divorce.

All of those weaknesses can be learned. If you decide to live off a paycheck, that's fine too; just be smart with your expenses, never indulge too much (for me, a masculine trait is temperance: restraint in the face of temptation) and never be absorbed into the drama from coworkers (not just women but all of then) and you should be fine. For me, MGTOW has always been, always been self-reliance. For far too long, societal expectations of traditional courting, establishing families and furthering society has been the norm. It is time to subvert that. Now that women are of now equal status to men financially, why should we still hold on to the principle that we ask them out, we invest time and money in them when they SHOULD ask us out and invest time and money in us? I find it utterly hypocritical that in modern times of equality, …

Feng shui and home application has been a staple for many years, if not decades or even centuries back home. I don't particularly subscribe to it but I have seen it in action; along with rearranging furniture for energy flow, we also put a octagon mirror atop the door frame of either the entrance door or some place inside.

I am Filipino and let me tell you: they are just as hypergamous as the rest. Some are dedicated but some also will milk you financially for all its worth. And if they are born in the west, chances that they will exhibit western relationship values are all but guaranteed. Oh yeah. I was bullied in my elementary and high school years and really have spent my 20s just stewing in my hate and bitterness (I do not recommend this. It's far better to get some outside professional help) and even now, 35, I'm still dealing with it in some manner. I work towards it but it will be some more time until I will be "okay". I'm kinder to myself these days and treat myself with much more compassion instead of being extremely hard on myself. Hang in there, I'm with you.

Don't hope. Disengage completely. Do not rely on her keeping it straight-laced for she will eventually misbehave and no, it doesn't matter what race and where they live at that point. The ultimate priority is you. Your money, your own time, your ultimate goals by yourself and yourself alone. If I were to hope, it's not to change women in any way, it's for men to pursue excellence without reliance on women.

It's not all women will cheat, it's that when they do, society and the courts will back them up. It's like playing with a loaded gun. Pre-nup, post-nup, doesn't matter. The law is on their side and she could get half (or more) of your assets in the chance she misbehaves, she says "I'm not happy!" and "We need to talk". Add to the fact that the divorce rate is over 50%. Fifty. You may as well take your chances on a coin toss and that's a losing strategy. So for me, no way you're protected in a marriage.

One of the things to live a happy life without sex is to do things that make you happy and setting goals on things you want to achieve. And at the very least, hookers are straight up front and honest with their intentions. You pay, you bang, you leave. Then you assess the event and see if it was worth it. It's just sex. It's nothing magical and fancy. There are certainly some things better than sex.

Marriage: potential long term investment with her changing her mind and you losing time and resources with certainty. Prostitution: quick investment, both parties get what they are there for.

I have more or less not told anyone I eschew long term relationships and went my own way. I just do things quietly, be affable and genial to others (this includes women) while keeping them far away from what my purpose is: peace, quiet and a whole lot of freedom.

Working my way towards it. Social media to me is just shitposting and me doing my own shit. I will lessen its use overtime.

Personal CC debt tad lower. Next stop is my other debt insolvency deal. Rejoining the gym next month, probably a new job on the horizon. Also a move.

For me, I find it depending less and less on how others see me and being very comfortable with living alone, knowing the price of being in a relationship nowadays very liberating. Until the laws change, I will just casually date, if that. I need to be healthy physically and mentally and financially and I have shifted my goals from having a family to having wealth and peace of mind.

In my opinion, we are all now "strong and independent". That means we are not beholden to women for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. We can subsist on what we make or earn more for its own sake, not because we want to support and provide for a woman. Yes, this even extends to the rest of the world. Thanks to feminism extending its reach far beyond the shores of the western world and knowledge of how women operate (emotionality, doublespeak and so on), personally, AWALT. There may be a gem out there or s…

Oh I love this. I am a city boy but seeing trees, away from the hustle and bustle is just bliss. Peace, quiet and freedom!

Not fully MGTOW but I share some of its core tenants. I don't hate women, not at all. I just decided to not engage with them on an emotional level everytime and to be direct with my intentions. And I flat out refuse to be their wallet. My wallet, my choice after all.

Directness. "What do you think about my outfit?" It's fine. "You like my perfume?" S'alright.

Societal expectation is that men should stand on their own. Any attempt of reaching out or an emotional outburst is kryptonite even if they don't voice it out. But we need help, all the time even. We are here for one another.

Vet her out. She sees you as the "safe" option. You're not comfortable and okay with this so why even stay? I read the part where she compared you to her other conquests. Huge red flag there.

Probably erase about uh.. five centuries of romantic, irrational bullshit. The west has done well and I say this as a southeast asian.

I personally am not full in to the lifestyle but I am in line with some of the tenants they practice (no long term, no cohabitation, no marriage, no kids; stack muscles and wealth). Reading and watching and seeing certain female truths especially in today's times, it makes sense to me that if I want company, I would agree to a short term or a casual basis (as I believe that romance is an absolute waste of time and is a fantasy) since the woman may change her attitude/lose the "butterflies" later…
