Very impressed to see that study linked in the top comment. The results are something a lot of people don't get... that a large chunk of fat people aren't fat because they refuse to diet, they're fat because they've dieted so much that they have lost the ability to listen to their bodies' actual needs and eat accordingly. I agree completely. Hire well, train well, and retain them. I did plaintiff-side employment law work, and so many employers thought they were clever and their (pretty reprehensible) shenanigans would never catch up to them. They were consistently wrong.

This is true, but you've got to be careful with it. Declaring someone to be a contractor doesn't magically make them one in the eyes in the law, and a lot of business owners get themselves into trouble because of it. A contractor can be deemed an employee if they don't work for people other than you, if they don't maintain their own trade tools, if they aren't working on specific projects, etc.

Upvote for giving an actual legal analysis and not just idle and uninformed speculation. Also worth noting is that all the gay cases (Lawrence, Windsor, and now Obergefell) have turned on the Court viewing the laws as motivated by bigotry and animus, which they decided is not rational basis furthering a legitimate government interest.

6'2" here, and I have experienced this. It was especially notable after I lived in Japan. Don't remember the fat percentage precisely. Lost more than 20% though. I haven't gotten a scan in a year or so. My lean mass went from around 180 to around 220 right now, judging by my Withings which always held pretty true to the DEXA readings. Hoping to get it to 250 in a few years.

I pay $40, but it's heavily discounted because the university I'm at has them for the football players. I think they charge the general public $120. I ended up losing just over a hundred. I'm tall with a wide frame, though, so it's less exciting than it sounds. Most of the time it wasn't true Atkins-style low carb, either, just lower carb. I found that the former gets me into a bad headspace because of how well it lends itself to black-and-white thinking.

I've always had the "can't lose fat while gaining muscle" thing hammered into me, but a few years ago I started getting DEXA scans that showed the opposite. I think in six months I added 8 pounds of muscle and lost 30 pounds of fat. I think it's one of those "rules" that's more true for the bodybuilding types who are working with very lean fat deposits. I eat lower carb too, though, so perhaps that contributed.

Getting in shape really is amazing for SMV. From what I've seen it will make most guys begin to act more red pill without even realizing it. Not to menton it makes you much more able to tackle what every day throws at you. More energy, clearer thinking, increased willpower, and the general feeling of winning really go a long way. Puts you closer to your goals and frees up mental energy for things you weren't even considering before. That said, plethora is negative and means "too many."
