| 3 | Is it wrong for me to ask my prom date to pay for her ticket?I also think it's unfair for one person, be it man or woman, to pay for everything in a relationship. And honestly, (in high school especially) I never actually even considered not going Dutch on things like prom tickets (I was a girl asking a guy to the prom, I'm not sure how different that makes the situation)... or anything else, for that matter. If a person wants to buy something for their date, then that's fine, but I definitely don't think it should be an expectation. | /r/MensRights | 11/04/12 03:52 AM |
| 3 | Int'l MRA Leader, "...number of males in distress is growing rapidly in society as more and more anti-men laws are being made.""...we as a society have failed in providing sustainable support to the man and control his emotions. Even our laws and courts provide sympathy and support only to women."That's the feeling I got from reading it too. Unless I misread/misunderstood, to me he kind of makes it sound as though having the ability to nullify a non-arranged marriage is anti-men. The rest of the article makes sense to me, and I'm all for providing support and sympathy equally to both genders/parties, but I also don't think it's right in this case to take action against the man's widow. | /r/MensRights | 10/04/12 12:01 AM |
