Ladies I posted the comment to take at face value. Of course a lot of us have been burnt enough to look further and may not be able to take things at face value. But was it really necessary to rain on the parade? I hope this sub doesn't end up being just negative man bashing....otherwise we are no better.

Another lesson to. Extra special LVM aka sociopaths will make grand gestures and statements such as the one I posted gaining the AWwws and ohhhs from everyone. But that's where it ends. My father is like this and I have yet to meet someone worse. My post highlights a small example but only a piece of what makes a man HVM. I would say dont fall for one gesture even though it's easy after being neglected abused etc for so long. Remember the breadcrumbs.

My bad. I didn't go to the comments. I kind figured it too good to be true.

Even the ones that are attractive are repulsive in character. But grooming is only part of the equation for me. If someone spends a lot of time on their vanity I bail ....its too American Psycho for me.

Going on reddit asking for recipes and help = HMV to me. Not the cooking.

I'm a little slow on picking up what everything means on reddit. Seriously I'm looking at the urban dictionary every day!

I'm not trying to be a man hater and I'm sure just like most of us on here may feel the same. IMO this doesn't need to be stated I think there already is that understanding.

What makes me sad is it's because we live in a patriarchal society. Sigh even my relatives are LVM...which led me to be comfortable around those types and feeling unworthy of HVM.

I'm not playing games. That dating style seems to be more appropriate for high school.

Woah. I didn't do this for him and I didn't care what he thought. My journey is not yours. Nor do I owe you details of the date. I do find your post aggressive. I mean I would go into details about some things I do like about him but then you'd trash me for giving him excuses. The best way I felt about the scenario...I wanted to forget my job my health issue my broken down washer so I got a fix, a distraction.....I got what I came for Do I encourage it....no. I wouldn't advise it to anyone which…

Fed up as throwing caution to the wind. This year has been tough with a new diagnosis and cutting family ties. I just needed comfort....though believe I know this behaviour is no good for the self esteem.

While I realized what I was doing was encouraging a situation ship. ...I did this the other day. I showed up at his place in joggers and a tshirt. My hair frizzy from not dealing with it and 0 makeup. All because prior to that he did the same...0 effort and we were just getting to know each other. I only did this because well I wanted sex and I know after this I wont be dating much. Kinda fed up atm.

I'm just going to a friend's cabin that I'm not going to tell you about for a week. Oh you're not invited. .....I'm concerned she's asking if she's the A.

What!? Why...I mean with all the outrage when animals are kept in a heated car, he left his FAMILY for a hour. Then lol about it! But what I'm finding more disturbing is that she's seeking advice? Not judging, I'm thinking she's in so deep there is no thinking clearly.

Yep...because its drive by dating these days. It's that or I'm finding beyond the Hi how are you? there seems to be way too much carrying the conversation.

It seems to me you are missing one huge component to love. Self love. You are relying on another to complete an idealized picture (one of romance that society has drilled in our heads since day 1). No one or thing can complete you and I wouldn't look for someone until that's figured out.

I can understand why cutting ties would not be so easy, especially in this profession. I have no advice other than know your boundary and stick to it fiercely. I hope someone here can shed some light.

Run and cut ties. He will always proposition you. My "friend" of 20 plus years has an open relationship and has never stopped asking me for nudes. He's just been after the chase all along....not convo

I know it must be hard to network but at least you're young enough to start on your own without that creeps help. Can you go to a different city?

For me it is a red flag. It's the same as to why I don't go for guys who show themselves working out at the gym. They seem to have the same expectation come from you. If most of his energy is spent on how he looks, be sure it will be projected on to you. It's a no for me.

I'm sorry I didn't go through all the posts. I think if it were reversed a lot of us here wouldn't give him a chance. We would be yelling LVM in a heartbeat. Dating is tough and I think you have an interest in this person. As a compromise just keep the date light and not lengthy....no need to go into detail about why.

I get what you were saying. Loneliness got you because I have no doubt you saw those neon signs. I literally did the same thing. He was building a house...to live with his parents. He also had 4...count em 4 vehicles with definitely no paycheck to match. It only took me date three...2 weeks to say later. I understand the slippery slope loneliness sends us on. But just like anything else we use out there to fill that void...perhaps acknowledge it. Then re-read this sub💛

Isn't fascinating how some mistake THAT attention for love. ? It hurts me to know so many women think they are thriving in that chaos because....hey "at least I'm not alone" I hope you stay strong and I'm glad you're done with mr (small m) 6 email accounts stalker.
