Yes, gay men have more of a reason to get the HPV vaccine than straight men, the CDC lists that "Men who have sex with men are about 17 times more likely to develop anal cancer than men who only have sex with women." That being said, in a given year there are only 1,500 men who get HPV-associated anal cancer, so the the odds are still pretty remote. First, you are dealing with selection bias in two ways. First, you don't see all the people who didn't go to college, therefore you have removed them from you regression. Secondly, you are (I would assume) only talking to math and science people. Women are getting way more graduate degrees than men (though those are mainly in the humanities) and they are outpacing men in attending college to begin with.
