There are studies on this. There was an article originally published with the title “The Problem with the Pill” in Scientific American Mind Vol. 23 No. 1 (March 2012) Basically women who met their partners on hormonal contraceptives were less sexually satisfied on average, however they were also less likely to split up with their partners even when coming off the pill as they were happier with non sexual aspects of the relationship on average than their non hormonal contraceptive counterparts.

Agree with this so much. Most of the responsibility and sacrifices fall on women. Which perfectly explains why every man I have ever dated (from the age of 17 upwards wanted kids and asked me to come off the pill...I said no) Maybe if they made it so women didn’t have to choose between children and a career (free childcare for all, at all hours, paid by the government so we don’t have to reduce hours or leave work to have a child) and a change to social expectations, that it is the woman’s role …

She even has an update post saying she ‘only’ got 2 calls from him while he was grocery shopping to clarify things in her (very detailed) list (with pictures and descriptions). SMH.

This so much. ‘I want a strong confident woman not an insecure little child’ when you refuse to send naked pics. Next!

Same here. Long time lurker, only recently made an actual account. Don’t want to be abandoned to my own devices if this sub gets banned!

To be fair I think I’d assume cheating in this case too. Maybe that’s cause I just tell my partner the truth about where I am. Seems weird to me to make something up. Surely the truth is easier than a lie? The only time I’d lie and say I’m doing something I’m not is when I’m too lazy to go out and need an excuse.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
