| 0 | Unbelieveable...yes i agree that if this i acceptable then maybe the same should be acceptable for women. However focusing on such nitty gritty topics such as this is perhaps not the best advertisement for mens rights. I would totally subscribe if this content wasn't accepted. Again perspective on what is truly discriminatory i.e custody battles that actually affects a mans life or false rape claims should be a priority instead of focusing on vague social issues. | /r/MensRights | 01/02/13 02:05 AM |
| -2 | Unbelieveable...some of their issues deserve 'shamming language' because they are shambolic e.g this picture above is ridiculous. I stand by my words because this whinging about being oppressed using the example of the picture is unacceptable. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 11:59 PM |
| -3 | Unbelieveable...no, how bad each party had/has it is extremely relevant, which this subreddit seems to ignore. Although you want your cause to be important it simply is not, particularly when you compare it to the struggles of blacks, gays and women. And the 'negative attitude' towards men is minuscule at best. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 10:36 PM |
| -6 | Unbelieveable...What? That's you entire point 60 years ago, 90% of women weren't offended about being expected to be a housewife, limited employment opportunities, male "bar" jokes and culture, etc. you used womens rights issues, which were major, as a comparison to my point that 90% of men nowadays wouldn't care the picture. Referencing it and using the statistic '90%' is an obvious comparison. explain yourself. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 10:07 PM |
| -5 | Unbelieveable...Don't compare womens oppression during the 20th century to men's 'oppression' in 2013. That is ridiculous. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 09:31 PM |
| 1 | Unbelieveable...Well from my experience 90% of men who saw this would have absolutely no issue with this picture and would actually find it funny. It wouldn't cross their minds that this is a form of discrimination and to be fair that's probably because they have bigger issues to deal with. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 09:19 PM |
| 1 | Unbelieveable...It could be argued that what your saying is extremely discriminatory towards women. Why do you think it would cause such outrage? Because women are dramatic? Also the picture itself could be used as a womens rights issue because of the boob size and how they are portrayed as superficial. My point is that this is no more a mens rights issue than it is a womens rights issue. Why isn't their any in the disabled bathroom, would that be bad taste? | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 09:01 PM |
| -2 | Unbelieveable...Your point could also be viewed as a womens rights issue. It is a very well known stereotype (unfair in my opinion) that women don't have as good a sense of humour as men so the owners could have thought that putting a humorous picture in the bathroom like the one above in a womans bathroom would not be received well and met with outcry. But why should all women be associated with this? My point is that this picture is so unrelated to mens rights that it could be miscnscrewed as a rights issue f… | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 08:49 PM |
| -3 | Unbelieveable...Maybe nothing, but who cares whether they did or not? it still wouldn't make it any more of a gender issue or does it make men feel oppressed. You also have to look at this as an isolated incident and MR turning into a rights issue is ridiculous, especially when there is real MR issues to deal with. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 08:34 PM |
| -17 | Unbelieveable...But there's nothing here that's worth fighting for. it's a goddamn picture, meant as a joke. that's it. It's by no means discriminatory, if you think it is then you have to experience what real discrimination is. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 08:23 PM |
| -20 | Unbelieveable...wow, you have to fight against such vicious uncaring people, you are truly undermined in society. I salute you in your not at all ridiculous cause. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 08:14 PM |
| -18 | Unbelieveable...I think what some people on this subreddit need is perspective. This is in no way a mens rights issue, and calling it 'unbelievable' is ridiculous and all that does is whip up anger. I totally understand that there is some issues that need addressing e.g males rights for custody but shit like this is why people hate this subreddit. As a gay guy, I can tell you that if you feel discriminated by this picture to stop being a pussy, man the fuck up and fight real issues. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 08:01 PM |
| 5 | Unbelieveable...Yeah totally, i'm feeling really discriminated against right now. | /r/MensRights | 31/01/13 06:33 PM |
