Do you know what forever means? Hypothetically, if two people were actually committed to staying together no matter what, overcoming all the odds and any “what ifs” you can throw at it, then it’s just paper. The relationship doesn’t fundamentally change after saying “I do.” You only start referencing the doc when the other person leaves (cheating, losing interest, dying). Then you can sue for support or be entitled to inheritance or whatever. I’d say only real benefit is visitation rights in a h…

You can quickly boil that down to “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” Same can’t be said about a home existing or not. A comment like “your skin is really clear” when covered in acne would be a closer comparison.
