Yup, it happened to me. Not to this degree but it sure was a big wakeup call that was much needed.

throwawayforunethica You are an amazing mom and the way you have dedicated your time, money, and all that you have shows that. You haven't failed your son. He's only 12 and will need you to guide him through life for a while (even after 18). Everyone makes mistakes, as we are human beings and it is inevitable. Life is about learning. Don't give up! Sending several blessings your way.

I wouldn't feel bad if I were you. That ring symbolizes all that you've gone through in your marriage. It's not worth having her wear it as a necklace. In the future, she'll get an even better diamond. Best of luck OP!

That part. Ex was the same way. Couldn't even spend $100 on a nice dinner but could go into debt for weed and luxury cars. Priorities are all the way f'd up.

Literally. Even my gay male friends ALWAYS insist on paying.

I remember when my former dumb self used to split the toll with my ex. The toll was literally $15. He literally couldn't afford the $15 toll.

So funny because this meme matches something that happened to me today! I'm really into cars and was looking to buy this vintage Camaro an older man in my neighborhood was selling. I spoke with him and took down his contact information to text him about test driving and possibly purchasing the Camaro and when I texted him, he began flirting with me and saying he loves talking to me and was commenting on my looks. Mind you, I'm 20 (he knows this) and he looks to be in his mid-60s.

I second this. My dog never liked my abusive ex. He always growled at him.

I was 17, he was 21. He didn't even ask me. He knew my religious background and how much I wanted to wait for marriage. He took it anyway.

This has happened to me before. I literally didn't reply for all of 10 minutes and the guy started sending me several questions marks saying things like "hello?" "Wyd?" "Are you going to answer my question?" It was creepy as heck. Thank God for fds because pre-fds, I probably would've took pity on him

So true. It really tells you just how much your significant other studies you and how much thought they put in. I enjoy fun dates. I don't want to go to a restaurant for every date.

I struggled with that for a while, especially because the fact that it was my first relationship. Sometimes it upsets me thinking about it but I've definitely progressed as far as my attitude towards the situation. Well said!

That's thoughtful! I think people believe that men spending hundreds of dollars on fine dining means they are automatically high value when that's far from the truth. If a man is a millionaire, taking a girl to Nobu and spending $300 on a date is not high value in my opinion because it's not thoughtful and probably means nothing to him given his tax bracket. I'm not saying a guy can't fine dine a woman and go to upscale restaurants but if you've been dating for a long time, chill dates like driv…

Don't ever feel ashamed. Been there and honestly looking back in retrospect, my ex disgusts me. Can't believe there are people in the world that act like him. I'm glad you survived!❤️

I don't think it's a bad date if they've been dating for quite sometime. So many men are using quarantine and lockdown as an excuse to not take their girlfriends out and plan thoughtful things since everything is closed. I think her boyfriend taking time to plan it and surprise her is nice. It's better than being cooped up in the house doing nothing or Netflix and chilling.

I understand what you're saying but even if they feel that way, the new girl will never be like the former girl. The qualities won't be the same. She can never replace her. Bonding with/having a new girlfriend is different if a guy goes into a new relationship with the mindset that he wants a clean slate with someone else. If he's looking at her like a replacement, she's a counterfeit because she can never be a copy and paste of his former girlfriend. I've even seen men that try to replace their…

I said what I said. Stop reading too deep into it. Not that there is anything wrong with them but no woman is truly "replaceable," as we are one of a kind and cannot be replaced. The next woman is not the same as you just like how the woman after her is not like her. If a man is purposely trying to replace you without taking time to truly move on from your relationship, she's a counterfeit because she will never be you. Good day.

In her case, I think she knows better (my former best friend) she just settles. She knows how she wants to be treated and her ideal relationship but feels every guy is bad and will never check off her list (which isn't true). Insecurity is a big thing too. In her mind, being self-deprecating and forcing herself to like things deemed as being "tom-boyish" will make a guy love her which is simply not the truth

Bingo! I had to cut ties with her. I didn't like seeing her get used constantly. I guess you can't want better for someone who doesn't want better for themselves

It's a disease called dustyitis. It's found in the species of low-value men. They often mooch off their parents past the age of 30, are jobless, play video games all day, (while neglecting their hygiene) and blame women for why their life is failing (both career-wise and romantically).

"How comfortable are we doing nothing." If she's not your girlfriend she doesn't have to chill on your musty mattress planted on the floor along with your sheets you haven't washed in two weeks. Even if she was, low vibrational behavior is a no no. There are plenty of chill dates you can do such as picnics etc (and that's once you have been dating someone for a certain period of time). If he wants to do nothing all day, he can get a dog

I know a pick me who would love the sight of this fridge. She's not like other girls, likes football, loves getting dirty, and only hangs out with guys because it's supposedly less drama. She's DoWn with the boys

Honestly. He is a black women hater and even disparaged one of his video girls (a girl darker in complexion) and embarrassed her on Instagram live. Not shocked though. He treats the mother of his child like ish.

Feeling disappointed is a normal human reaction. Don't beat yourself up because you feel sad. You're entitled to your feelings so take as much time as you need. Just always remember that his low-value behavior is not a reflection of you. Be glad he showed you his stripes. There is someone out there who will fulfill your needs and desires. Never settle! Hope this helps!

So true! My ex was a self-proclaimed smart biology expert and was 4 years older than me. When I asked him to help me with my AP biology take-home exam (When I was in high school), all of the questions he helped me with were wrong. 😭

"I keep minimizing it because he did not fully cheat but he did things that hurt me and dismissed me when i called him out." Girl, run like the wind. My ex was like this. An "emotional" cheater. He probably physically cheated but you just don't have proof. My ex did the same thing and was dismissive when I confronted him and even tried to gaslight me by saying it was my fault and that I "neglected" him. I also see that you're taking blame for liking pictures of men yet when you confronted him ab…
