You're mixing vegetarian with vegan diets. I'm not. The links I provided discuss vegan diets, which are considered a type of vegetarian diet. Sometimes it's referred to as a "total vegetarian" diet, when it's not refered to expressly as a vegan one (as it is in most of the links). Anyway the fact that you CAN live on a vegetarian/vegan diet, doesn't mean that you SHOULD or that it's the optimal choice.
