By meeting and adding 100 other women.

Basically do other stuff that you can be happy doing but doesn't depend on intimacy: exercise, traveling to new places, joining some clubs to do with something, going to see bands (even alone)

Maybe what you're lacking are genuine connection and closeness in your relationships with others, and a purpose in life? It's one thing to have friends you hang out with a lot, and another to have really close people who share common goals in life and truly value eachother and make themselves mutually better people in the process. Sure if you don't have that you can force past for social anxiety and maybe have some success getting laid but if you're having trouble maybe there is something deeper…

Doesn't that mean that school is essentially replicating the old tribal conditions, by limiting your control over who you have to interact with? If you fall out with some people, they will still be in your class the next day and for a long time afterwards. This meaning that every generation is having this lesson engrained into them from a young age for 12 years of their life.

I can't say i find any of this to be true. When i was in highschool there was really very little element of social status. There were cliches and groups and overlaps but no overall hierarchy. And this is coming from someone who had very few friends. The main problem in highschool was that the why you spoke to people you didnt know generally had to be condescending and confrontational or aloof.

The one thing is sometimes my subconcious just gives me multiple perspectives on things and i just have no idea which one to pick and usually in the end i default to inaction. Sometimes i think about it deeply trying to figure it out and sometimes i just try to forget and focus on other things because the thinking seems to be a waste of time anyway but it doesnt seem to help with the conflict.

You could just go do things which requires a lot of small talk and meeting new people. Like moving to a new city and engaging in activities where you meet a lot of new people.

The thing is much of the advice you will find around online or in books will be contradictory. So i would say its better to see what other people find works for them, and then come to your own conclusions by trying your own combinations and seeing the outcome. For many people even the goals are different.

"she wants you to talk to you" just a little typo
/r/seduction13/05/15 07:57 AM

Surely it just becomes "what do you study at collage/uni?" Or "what do you do?".

Is it ok to get into a relationship in part just to learn something about relationships? Accept that it might not last or work out, but just give it a shot for what enjoyment you both get out of at and the possibility it could last.

When you compliment her physical "genetic" appearance to demonstrate intent, isn't that more of a subtle way of saying, "I want to fuck you"? Pretty much required at some point if you actually do, but maybe not appropriate as a first interaction or to pique her initial interest.

Tinder is useless now lol. Takes me about 500 likes to get a match, and you have to pay a ton of money after just 20 or something.

Hmm whats the point of having someone's number if the only thing you've ever said to her was a pick-up line (albeit a unique one)? Did you talk to her after?

I guess if you're shamelessly doing it without trying to hide it, and with a little overconfidence and not being afraid to show your attraction, as well as being heavily persistent it can show some attractive qualities. Its not something I would do honestly but I think it works for some people.

Reminds me of Louie CK talking about how he thought of himself as a good person because he had the idea to give up his business class seat to a soldier who was in economy class on a plane. He didn't actually do it, but because he thought of it somehow that gave him satisfaction.

I have exactly the same thing. I think its because you're just reaching the edge of your comfort zone and suddenly the stakes are high. You want to to back where you are enjoying achieving easily instead of venturing into the unknown and taking risks.

It just makes me think I look like a creep. Edit: I still do it because its better than looking away or whatever. Plus in the end I will probably never see her again so if looking like a creep ocasionally is what I need to do to progress then I don't mind.

Honestly most of the time I think people don't really pay attention specifically the first thing you say to them. Any opener you use that shows confidence can work if you launch into a "normal" conversation afterwards. I.e asking their name, finding out what they do (asking or just guessing) and so on.
/r/seduction03/06/14 10:51 AM

I go through phases of having thoughts like this and phases of feeling happy and confident about the progress I've made. Just gotta keep pushing through. Try forcing yourself to go out to things where you will meet new people and just try having conversations with them.

I guess you are mostly right. I guess the point is that if you want to have a long-lasting, stable and monogomous relationship it takes a hell of a lot more than just "really really really liking" the person. You will have to do a lot of self discovery, dealing with things in your past, and learning how to pick up on people who have or haven't done this themselves, and their willingness. Anything in either partners head which is driving them emotionally that isn't out in the open could lead to u…

Best way to learn conversations is to hang around sociable people a lot even if you feel awkward doing it and don't know what to say. And also try to experience the world so you have things to relate about.

Surely it depends on the way she said it? Maybe she meant it as a joke? Maybe she was genuinely being bitchy? Either way I would say the only "wrong" thing to do in this situation is to give-in to fear of rejection and say something to try to please her instead of just responding in the way that fits your own values.

Seems like the perfect chance to just wait it out and she tries to hit you up first. Most important part: don't hold up your life waiting. Go out and enjoy yourself, meet oth r girls and keep self-improving.

I remember reading a post on lmr where the guy said this worked for him: Edit (accidentally sent): If you are making out/fingering etc and she resists the final act, just stop doing anything. Lie next to her, watch tv or whatever until she tries to get you into her again. Then repeat until she lets you. Never tried this and it could be criticised but I'm just relaying because its relevent

Why do I get so many upvotes for posting depressing crap like this. I was just in a bad mood. Seriously if anyone out there thinks this is them, just accept that you need to work on other things than girls for a while. Just go for a walk somewhere you haven't been before. Just do anything to occupy yourself from telling yourself that you are doomed because its an addiction.

Lol I've had this exact thing before. To op it honestly sounds like he could just go back there and risk making a fool out of himself (not that it would matter) and just admit he was there to ask her out.

You're completely right. The funny thing is my brain is so good at this I've managed to convince myself that I understand perfectly how I'm doing this but I'm just incapable of having the initiative to do anything about it. I'm sitting here describing exactly the shit I'm doing and yet I won't just get up and change it. I'm basically just creating a separate "me" that "I" am unable of controlling and therefore "I" am without blame. Even though I know I'm doing it it just gets fed into the cycle …

Whan out in public im slowly starting to get that even if people do notice me doing something stupid, then who the hell cares? Even if its so bad that someone goes home that night and tells all their friends "holy shit i saw this guy on the train today and he..." Then i would never find out and probably never be recognised by any of said people again. Just as long as you dont majorly piss anyone off.

Apparently the best thing to do in that situation is just politely exuse yourself. "i have to get back to my friends, but it was nice talking to you"

You should be able to guage her interest as you escalate, but eventually you just have to take a risk. There are plenty of things that are obviously sexual advances that also wouldnt be sexual harassment if she rejects you.

Do you think that if people did give you advice on a list of possible things to do next, that it's kinda like training wheels? Like, if you aren't used to this situation and are a little nervous, your mind can get a little foggy and if you just have some stock thing to pull out of a bag you can at least use that to help get yourself used to the situation.

I had a girl blow up at me too once. Difference is I was interested I was just too repressed to show it. Acted confident upon meeting her but then lost it later on. Not sure if I dodged a bullet or not now.

Honestly the worst thing about this is your constant comments like "BETAAA" and "What a fucking moron I am". It just projects a negative self image. Ok you fucked up. But don't sweat it. I know because I used to have it an am still kinda recovering. I'd act awkward and disinterested any time anyone talked to me. I literally couldn't understand why someone I didn't know would even want to talk to me. Then I'd wonder why I had so few friends.

I guess the trick would be to get her attention as quickly as possible. If she doesn't bite instantly then after that it gets awkard if you keep trying to force it.

I think you care too much. The purpose isn't to get numbers, it's to have fun. I can tell you're measuring your success too harshly because you're even counting the number of approaches.

I'm not sure if this counts as progress, but I was out clubbing a few nights ago and decided to try approaching some girls. After chickening out a number of times I came up with an idea that would at least allow me to get some practice approaching without really commiting to anything. I simply began approaching people (I actually started with guys to make it easier, then moved onto women) and I just said "hello, has anyone really be as far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like…

I don't find this works. If I relax and feel comfortable I just slip into my usual pattern of being friendly an joking around and having fun. "What's wrong with that?" you might ask. Well in this mode I'm not thinking about any motives or goals, and so I never try to escalate, ask for numbers or flirt. Why? Because that's not what I do when I'm relaxed and not giving a damn around people. On the other hand if I try to force it and cause myself to do these things, then I become nervous and I stop…

I don't really see how any of this is meant to help. I've known this for years and yet I still get AA and escalation anxiety. Who knows why, I try to force myself every day to get over it and I'm slowly making progress. I guess knowing this stuff helps but it's not like an instant cure or anything.

I started drinking kinda late (17) and over the last few years I've become less dependent on it for this. Basically now if I'm sober I can make a little push and be the kind of person I want, but normally when I go out I drink anyway because I enjoy it. It's more of an enhancement of my own enjoyment than a requirement - plus I drink a lot less now.

Interesting how pretty much everything in this thread I'm starting now. I'm happier with my life, more energetic, better at socializing and getting more attention from girls, but somehow I just get anxiety when approaching any kind of close and chicken out. Will this go away if I keep pushing the direction I'm going, or do I need to do some deeper psychological work?

Ok, what I meant was basically that if you make your focus "I'm going to try to date as many women as I can until I find one that is 100% compatible and perfect for me" then you might end up in the situation of never being satisfied. While all the stuff about inner game and pickup on this site is good, I think it has to be combined with work on how to keep a long term relationship going, if that's what you want. The inner game can only take you so far, especially once you've known a woman for a …

Thing that annoys me is I'm not even scared of anything specific anymore. I'm not sitting there thinking "i should but what if X what if Y". I'm thinking "I should and there's no reason why not".
