This is kind of the equivalent of saying racism is only against minorities, while "reverse racism" is from minorities to majorities. Hostile, also known as misogyny, encompasses those who see women as second class and those who think women are intellectually inferior to men as well as other obviously sexist standpoints. Those, being men and women. Benevolent sexism, meanwhile, is the term used to describe the actions of those men and women who believe females depend on their male partners for everything from money to guidance and find it difficult to exist independently. From what I can find, people are trying to implement annual exams for cops, but they're not in full effect yet. 1	A woman argues against the male/female achievement gap. Imagine if they applied the same logic to the wage gap. What hope is there, then, for us girls? I don't know, study harder? Grades don't just happen to people, it's all about hard work. People complain about an article stating that boys are doing better in school, it's a fact based on test results. 1	Sexism masquerading as wisdom? I kind of agree with your TL;DR, but then again, children are really just tiny adults. There's no definite line between when they get to "be a kid" and when they -POOF- magically turn into an adult.
