I am applying for a tutoring position at my Uni and in their web page it literally says that in name of equal opportunity, women with the same qualifications are preffered over men. Does nobody know what 'equal opportunity' means anymore?

I cant say that this definitely wrong, but the r/movies mods as far as I know try to keep the metoo stuff off the subreddit except for some megathreads about the topic, since the subreddit is supposed to be about movies and not about Hollywood

But even then it is half assed. Because the women arent responsible for their internalised misogyny. They grew up with it under patriarchy. It is only their fault if they don't try to 'unlearn' it

I theory i have no problem with misogyny/misandry being added to reasons for a hate crime. But, first of all, they again don't seem to give much of a shit about men, the 'clearly motivated by gender' could be a real problem in actuality (eg domestic abused being generally classified as a hate crime) and finally the statement 'we need to take it seriously'. Probably not quite the point of the post, but what is it with feminists and trying to take away peoples personal agency? 'ever been with a man who cant cook? It might not be his fault. I don't think that there is a law in my country that directly favours males in the way that there are some that favour women, but seeing how women more often stay at home taking care of minor or elderly family members, problems in laws dealing with these situations (for example pension for people who worked at home, rausging children and caring for their parents) this would be something that disproportinately affects women

Even the first link is absurd. "Equality means equal distribution in all domains". That is parity, not equality. Why cant we just work so that people can choose as freely as possible and be fine with the results?

First of all, don't call mras misogynists by default.
