Just because you say you have a quality does not mean you actually posses said quality. Never forget the old adage, "Actions speak louder than words." It is easy to talk, hard to back it up with work. If someone's actions contradict their words, you are better off assessing them based on their actions as proof of character. In the US it depends on what state you live in and what you did with the video (published it). in only a few states does the law require consent for recording other people with audio/video. There are completely separate laws regarding the publications of those videos. It is funny you say that. That is actually the historical reason only men are eligible for the selective service. Not signing up for the draft in the USA is a felony, and committing a felony strips you of your right to vote, so in my book technically women gained the 'right' to vote before men did, because we still don't have it. I understand where you are both coming from. I just don't think big of a deal to take the time to sign it. Awareness is a big part of social movements and change. The more people we have pushing the petition creates more awareness and a larger audience for our issues. I can't exactly speak for % returns on how many people are following through to learn more or take the next step, but this is certainly one method of raising awareness and I do not believe it is entirely fruitless.

A point of technicality for OP. This story started with circumcision, but the title seems misleading. The point of th estory IMO is not about circumcision - cutting off the foreskin. This is castration which typically means to remove the testes, sometimes the penis, sometimes both.

I have had a pleasant time in /r/femradebates, but I have also heard those same complaints about it being too biased of a moderation. I personally have not noticed any issues of moderation. The conversations there seem to be effective, and I see many people there concede to an opposing argument because they are there to actively listen, engage, and learn. I believe it is a men's rights issue because I believe men should be more in touch with their family. I agree with most of your comments Eulabia, but rehabilitation opportunities and adequate facilities for incarcerated women is a real issue. Also this post in MensRights earlier sheds light - to great lengths - to the contrary that women and men serve the same sentence terms. In short, men serve on average as high as 4 times the prison sentence compared to women committing the same crime under the same circumstances.
