I wouldn't say they are "unrealistic" I just don't have the self discipline to get there. unless you mean comic book heroes, then ... yeah still doesn't bother me. I'm responsible for how I look (barring genetic factors like hair, height, eyes, etc) and I accept that. I understand the need for having something solid as a foundation, I'm just not smart enough to figure it out. My suggestion of every court case being judged subjectively (I think that's the right word..) relies on every member of the system being fair and unbiased, which won't happen. As a side note, I too am worried about where our population is going. I'm a Sci fi nerd and I day dream of our species spreading around the galaxy. Though I worry we will tear ourselves apart first.

If a parent is deemed unfit, then yes I think they shouldn't have full custody until they are deemed fit. They should still have visitation rights though. It just seems that women, by default, get the kids 90% of the time. As for the marriage thing, I feel like a step in the right direction would be getting rid of the no fault divorce. I know what your trying to say, at least I think I do. "Men and women are made to be together, dont let the feminists ruin it!" And I agree, I think it's shitty that such a big divide between the sexes has appeared. But, I feel that men are the ones being attacked, or forced to respond. Just going from what I see, all the outer states seem to get all the biggest stories and most unjust outcomes. Oklahoma on the other hand (rough center of the US, and my home) doesn't seem to ever pop up in the news. Perhaps I'm just not looking in the right places, but it seems with a lot of "trends" we get it last. Just a thought

Meh, I think it's the smart thing to do. If you don't feel educated enough to take action on a matter, then don't take action till you feel better qualified. If the state does recognize that a woman can't be held reliable for contracts, what will that mean for businesses and such? You sign a contract any time you sign up for something. First that comes to my mind is banks. Will banks stop doing business with women because they run the risk of legally going back on their word? Will that be seen as sexism?

girl writes what (youtube) said something about this.. its not worth it to debate/argue 1 on 1. you wont be able to change their mind. it is worth it to debate in a public forum where other people can watch or play back (in cases like youtube and such) the argument. this lets the other people see the fallacies and contradictions and form their own opinions.

funny enough, i watched a video of hers before i watched this one ( on sex and dominance heirachies) and it pointed out that males of many species are competitive between each other. she does a better job explaining it, but its just how we are wired.
