Back when I was single I could have gotten sex easily. But I never felt comfortable having sex 2ith someone I don't know, I found it difficult to find someone who wanted to date for a while before having sex. I have friends who have struggled with this if they don't put out on date 1 the guy ghosts them, but they are like me and wouldn't be comfortable sleeping with someone they have only just met. As for good sex again as I only tend to have sex when in a relationship it's not really been a pro…

I don't understand why being in an LTR without marriage is a bad thing. I'm in one neither of us are religious so don't see the point in marriage, I know many couples like this that are very happy. It doesn't mean your a placeholder. I don't get why that makes the girl a pick me? Surely if your in a good relationship and both are happy with the direction it's going that's a good thing? Why does it matter if your married or not?

I grew up on the same street ad my partner, we have been friends all through my childhood and teens. We got into a relationship at 22. Now 30 and still together. I do think I have been very lucky as I've never used online dating.

Don't know any I think unless your already in wealthy circles you are highly unlikely to have met anyone who ticks those boxes

Ahh I think I get you, so in a way violence with women would be possibly more common based on my experience as the consequences for men make them more hesitant to escalation

I was not considering acts of violence like that, I was more talking about general propensity to become violent and that in my experience I had seen that more from women than men. Also girls fighting is not just screaming or pulling hair they can be incredibly violent. As I say I wad just considering my experience and I am not disregarding what you have experienced

To be honest I don't really think that how hard life if now really correlates to what gender you are. I think men and women of the same backgrounds, education ect have it pretty much the same. Where I think life is harder is for those that come from poverty, those who were not academic at school ect. I'm from the UK and I think class is still a big issue here to how easy/hard life will be.

Really not sure I agree with that, when I worked in bars it was women kicking off on each other far more than men. Any night out I've had in Manchester the same if there is a fight it was usually girls. And these fights could get pretty brutal.

I'm 5"2 my dad is 5"6 I have no brothers my partner is 5"8. My mum is 5"4 and has been happily married to my dad for 35 years. The only impression I've ever had of my parents marriage is that I wanted what they had some day. Height isn't an issue. I've never really had a height requirement, though everyone I've dated has been taller than me I've not actually met a man that's my height or smaller.

I've never really thought that but I've never done online dating. My friends that have had had issues with some of the types of men that match with them. I think that online dating probably skews perceptions alot.

I used to get approached quite a bit when I was younger I don't really get approached now, though when I go out I'm usually with my partner so not sure if that is the reason

Not met one man that cares about traditionalism. Even my grandad who's 91 isn't bothered about these things. It's more live your life and aim to be treated well and treat others well.

I have no problem with the idea of my other half watching porn, as long as it doesn't turn into an addiction. My concerns would be around some of the extreme and illegal stuff that can be found on some porn sites As long as it's consenting adults and he is watching in moderation I don't see a problem

Definately it happened with my current partner (been together over 8 years) we grew up together and were best friends, we have always had a really strong friendship however when I was in my early 20s the feeling changed into something more. It took me a while to make a move on him as I was nervous, but eventually I did and now we have an amazing relationship.

My partner has to leave alot earlier in the morning for work than me. So I get up early and make a packed lunch for him and a cup of tea in a travel mug so he's set up for the day and doesn't have to rush as much in the morning

Purely curiosity I saw posts about RP and MGTOW and things like that and had never heard of it before so I have been looking at different forums on it. None relevant to me but always good to look at how other perspectives are formed

Maybe just my experiences but all the boxes and terms I see in here I have never seen in reality. From what I have seen it's largely nonsense as I say I am going off my experiences

I would say my current LTR relationship, not because I consciously change how i have sex. However with my partner (7.5 yr relationship) as the years have gone by I have felt more secure and comfortable in myself and that has lead to being able to let go alot and experiment. Women can be very self conscious during sex and I think when you are in a LTR alot of that disappears.

What I don't get when I see alot of these threads is that they seem to oversimplify everything and put everyone in a small selection of boxes that is completely at odds to reality.

Usually in the first interaction with the person, if we are on a date and we click and there is some banter that tends to create the attraction for me

It would depend I think. For example If you have been on a couple of dates and the guy comes on heavy and talking about full commitment that would be off putting If you are in a relationship which gradually becomes more serious and both parties emotions are involved then I think it's very attractive I'm in a committed LTR and I find my partner very attractive

True however the concepts we reach tend to be based on our own experiences, which may be why responses are phrased in a personal response rather than 3rd person.

I don't think you can know how you will be as a parent until you have children. However I think the examples you have growing up and experiences in life can help develop your personality and characteristics that would help be a good parent. They don't always have to be good experiences, I know someone who had a terrible childhood but they are great parents, maybe in part because they were determined to make sure that their children didn't have the childhood they did.

I always find it amazing that simple things like good communication and enjoying spending time together is missing in some relationships.

It's not something I've ever really seen, however I suppose I only have a small friendship group, but none of the people I know act like this. I think if we are constantly viewing the IG and YouTube people who profit from this certain look and viewpoint it can lead to altering our perception of reality as I don't think most people are like this

But women are not all the same one woman cannot answer for all of us we are all different and would do different things. So when answering a question like this we use our own experiences as that's all we can go off. The world is a varied and diverse place there is never going to be an answer that fits all women

I don't think I would consider husband material in that sort of way. For me someone who is husband or LTR material is someone who is mature and acts like an adult, is pragmatic and not drawn into the Hollywood/disney fairy tales

I think it's more about having someone to share your life with, being together through the ups and downs. It's about both sides committing and giving each other support and affection. These things shouldn't be one sided and it shouldn't be about validation. There are some that can have this without monogomy however for me I don't think I could be in a relationship that was open, it's not about jealousy I just wouldn't feel comfortable with it. Also if you are both sleeping about as well you are …

I know plenty of introverted men that are in relationships. I think it's not a case of being an introvert but maybe being awkward at social interactions and not being able to converse well that can cause issues in dating.

Depends on what you want my partner and I have been together for 7 years. Neither of us are particularly bothered about getting married. When we had been together for about a year we discussed if it was something either of us wanted. I think you need to be upfront with the person when the relationship is starting to get serious that this is something important to you. When it comes to the big stuff like marriage and kids you need to make sure you both want the same things. At the end of the day …

I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect relationship dynamic. However the things I think that help in my relationship being comfortable enough with each other that you don't have to be on all the time enjoy talking to each other and each other's company able to have a laugh together able to talk to each other about issues and work through them together having trust in each other, you should be able to go out without the other person and not be bombarded with messages accept each other f…
