I mean, if it works it works, but if you're having difficulty picking up women, that might be the problem. This might sound weird, but when I meet a guy and he's initially putting his arm over my shoulders / holds my hand, I usually assume he's gay... in my experience mostly gay guys go for that kind of physical intimacy so quickly (as opposed to hand on the small of the back, touching shoulder, etc). So that may have an effect? I don't know.

That example is awesome, and a way better solution. Whenever any guy refers to me as "honey" my creep detector skyrockets.

Chick here, it's really uncomfortable. Don't do it. Unless a guy is like the god of flirting and can pull off "hey sugar pie" and make it very clear that A. it's an overt, self-referential joke and B. he's literally oozing sex appeal, no guy should be dropping pet names on a woman he's just met. It's going to backfire and read as "oh god that's skeezy" 98% of the time. This definitely shouldn't be something recommended to guys who are brand new to flirting.

There's a difference between letting someone dominate your life, and doing totally unreasonable shit and intentionally "fucking with" your girlfriend because you feel like your masculinity is threatened. If someone buys milk for you and then leaves it out, you really should ask them to refrigerate it. That's the rational thing to do, not the bossy thing. Similarly if a girl asks you to hand her her glasses, just hand her the damn glasses. Don't be manipulative. That's the same controlling bullsh…

I read the milk example aloud to the room of people I was in and they were like "Hahaha, wait is this guy real? He's gotta be making that up."

Definitely agree with all your points. I think my only criticism is that the post is missing that context -- and some guys may take this as "oh, I should say this to some woman I've just met." At the end of a date or after a long conversation where I know the guy isn't being a creeper, all of this would be totally appropriate. But from the post alone I didn't get a sense that this context was suggested.

Lady here, most of this advice seems good, like "You’ve got very loyal friends, you must be good company." But about half of those example lines I would just find really creepy coming from a guy at a bar. "I love how fired up you get talking about your major/job/hobby, it’s quite sexy." This is just straight up strange. My career is my passion, but that passion is not something I want sexualized -- I'd rather have a guy who respects and admires what I do than diminishes my accomplishments by tel…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
