Any mention of Ayahuasca and I'm out. I don't know about the US but here it has become such a trendy thing for privileged white dudes to put on their profile. I call them spiritual fuckboys: they did ayahuasca once and now they're so enlightened and better than other people, they don't believe in 'conventional' relationships, will gaslight the fuck out of you with talk about vibrational energy or whatever culty new-age shit they're into that week, their place is a mess because they're not 'mater…

When their profile is a long list of obscure and/or 'cool' movies, music, books etc. For me it says they're immature and think the stuff they like is a personality trait.

I agree, had the same experience. Social media gave me self esteem issues and anxiety in my thirties, so I quit for more than a year and I felt so much less pressure to live up to certain beauty standards. I made a new instagram account after, but I only follow accounts about my hobbies and passions, like gardening, art and nature.

FDS has changed my life for the better in so many ways! And now I'm passing it on to my female students, who are amazing by the way- this new generation of women is much more aware of their intrinsic value than my generation was at that age, and a lot less willing to settle for less (gen z vs gen x)
