I gotta say. I subscribed to this subreddit because I thought it would be an encouraging subreddit to be a part of but now I feel I was mistaken. Most of the posts are just hurt people whining about something and I understand people need to take their time to process difficulties and during that time one can be a bit of a whiner. Not long ago I did and might still someday, but this is a little ridiculous. I'm in the wrong subreddit.

Now that is an argument I can get behind. It does seem short sided of her for thinking that it will stay secret, especially after the children grow up. If it were me, that fear would inhibit my ability to truly enjoy myself. Plus its absolutely important for there to be trust between loved ones. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I wonder what kind of guy that guy is.

I don't think shes a horrible person for being that way. I think that there are legitimate reasons for her behavior. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's secret.
