Please make an entire post on it. But please then follow it up and tell me how the Canadian government tortured Omar Khadr." I will. It will probably be deleted, but I'll CC you.

Yes. He got radicalized by his own family. Apparently the Canadian government is responsible for that. Straw man and beneath you. "I would not absolve Patty Hearst because she was held in a closet." What about the grown ass men who were taken prisoner during the Korean War and claimed that full communism was superior? Should we torture them in reverse to make sure they say the right thing? I do not absolve Omar Khadr because he was raised by jihadists Bitch you wouldn't have lasted five minutes …

You would think so, but again, hunter-gatherers don't seem to sweat hunting or gathering. They really are that good. Here's an interesting essay on the subject: http://www.primitivism.com/original-affluent.htm Source website is biased but author is a respected anthropologist.

Hunter-gatherers are expert hunters. According to anthropologists they are so successful they are "bored" most of the time (the men at least; gathering and looking after the young' uns is more time consuming). This is where "religion", games, music, dancing around the fire, extensive fucking etc come in.

he wasn't some random middle class kid who got recruited and radicalized by terrorists. No. He got radicalized by his own father. Patty Hearst spent a weekend in a closet and robbed banks for the SLA. Omar's father didn't need a closet. Amnesty International rightly described Khadr as a child soldier and later victim of extreme torture. They welcomed the settlement, as would any decent human being who was aware of what he went through. a family that was heavily involved with Islamist terrorism. …

He is a terrorist. Hard to have sympathy. Thing is, one could argue that about any number of militants. For example the US campaign against Iraq was called "shock and awe." That's perhaps the most succinct definition of terrorism I've ever seen. And lest we forget that at least 1.5 million Iraqis have been killed since Gulf War 1. Bottom line is that no one should support torture. Civilized human beings should condemn torturers to life imprisonment imo. And torturing children is perhaps the wors…

stop putting words in her mouth. She's hasn't suddenly become a right wing douche bag. And your claim: I'm left leaning socially even though I'm right wing on economics That's great. But many are left wing on economics and anti-feminist/SJW. IMO "right wing on economics" just means useful idiots for the plutocracy. Every once in awhile you should thank your lucky stars for anti-capitalists, otherwise there would be no weekends or workplace safety standards or minimum wage.

So even the source you provided agreed with GWW's assessment of the kid as a jihadi from a young age That's the whole point. Young age. Of course the lawyers would say that. Khadr's accounts are consistent with every single other inmate at Gitmo. Are you saying he was the one exception? Is torture wrong? Yes, unreservedly. In every case, let alone with a child. Glad to hear at least someone here agrees with basic human decency. Nevertheless, he was captured in combat with US forces. That's no ex…

You are intensely stupid in that you may be educated but you seem to have got the idea that other people are not as clever as you for not believing what you believe. And that makes you a phenomenal dumbass. I haven't insulted you once. Yet every post of yours has consisted of an endless stream of insults. You are arguing from a place of emotion rather than logic. I simply refuted your false claim that the media only hides the sins of Muslim pedophiles. Why not thank me for educating you?

What are you wanting me to take from this? That right wing media, especially right wing tabloid media, tends to be very selective in its outrage. Not much different than their left wing equivalents. but that a discourse exists covering up the one while illuminating the other. Lol no. Is it only South Asian men pimping out underage white girls? Somehow I doubt that. But that's the impression one gets from right wing news sources. Ironically it is often women that lead these prostitution rackets because they are better at procuring young girls. I agree the Guardian is shit, and yes occasionally tabloids will publish true stories that establishment media won't touch.

'only men can do men jobs/only women can do women jobs' Well it's true to a certain extent. Men have a difficult time breastfeeding for example, and I don't see a lot of women performing jobs that require a lot of strength. Ultimately it doesn't much matter, since the Scandinavian experiment (as well as the Israeli Kibbutz) show that the more choice men and women have the more they gravitate to traditional gender roles and occupations. Actually we've known that boys are being discriminated against in school for decades. They didn't used to be -- feminists changed the schooling system to cater to female learning styles and temperament. The lack of male teachers is a huge factor as well, but also the presence of feminist teachers. Studies show that female teachers who believe in gender quotas mark done boys for the same work. So long as feminists are in control of the education system, boys will continue to suffer.

Torture is a war crime. If you support torture you've degraded yourself far more than any enemy ever will. If you support the torture of kids who can't even get a driver's license you are morally depraved. Afghanistan was not invaded due to terrorism. It was invaded and occupied for reasons laid out by Zbigniew Brzezinski in the Grand Chessboard: "Eurasia is home to most of the world's politically assertive and dynamic states. Without it, at a very primal level we're not happy. Not really true. During the colonial era Europeans were astonished to learn that some indigenous tribes didn't even have a word for work. They hunted of course, but that wasn't "work" in the sense of an arduous task that you don't like but do anyway because you have to. Hunting is fun. Perhaps better said that men want to feel useful and support others while being respected and honored for doing so.

realistic Yeah no. I spent years studying martial arts. Women who had been studying for several years were easily subdued by male novices. It didn't happen very often though because the men were chivalrous and when they sparred with a female they'd use kid gloves. I don't mind movies where eg a female android kicks a bunch of men's asses. But it's impossible to suspend disbelief for "Atomic Blond" type stuff. It's just silly feminist pandering.

I was walking home from the pub last weekend and stopped in at 7/11 to grab one of their shitty hotdogs. Ended up calling a cab. I was a little tipsy so ended up chatting with a straight white male sitting on the sidewalk begging for change. He was a veteran from Afghanistan and lost his house after his wife divorced him. I knew they wouldn't be content to reserve the word "survivor" for women who claim to have been sexually assaulted. There's more than enough wealth to go around. But not under the monstrously evil system of capitalism, which produces mountains of junk, poisons the environment and impoverishes the majority while rewarding beyond all sense and decency a handful of psychopaths. There is more opportunity now for the common man than there has been since this country was founded. Colonial America was pre-capitalist. Between the years 1800 and 1920 wealth inequality increased more than a hundred fold. And in any case the "common man" didn't have much opportunity in colonial America. Not if you were black or Native American or an Irish indentured servant. Poor white males couldn't even vote. we can generate wealth out of nothing Wealth is generated through the labor of the …

What you are suggesting as that the privileged few (you) get to decide for everyone. That's the opposite of what I said. you are trying to find one example The medieval equivalent of hedge fund managers used to be hanged because they were recognized as parasitic vampires feeding on human misery. Billionaires are the very height of immorality, hoarding gargantuan amounts of wealth while people starve to death. Serial killers are significantly more moral in comparison.

The market for sexbots is currently 95 per cent male dominated And will remain so. Women are attracted to wealth and status first and foremost. That's not going to change. This reminds me of the hilarious sub "women going their own way." Men will never become "redundant" (what a disgusting concept to begin with, as though men are mere utilities) if for no other reason than someone has to invent and create and build things if civilization is to continue.

Capitalism is the most moral system we have. lol. Yes a system founded on stealing people's land and making kids as young as three work in factories is highly moral. Your greed for someone else's wealth is blinding you to reality. Actually I'm fairly well off. But when 8 people own more than 50% of the world's population -- that system is not only immoral it is an obscenity.

Stealing money from people so you can give free money to others is immoral. I agree. That's why capitalism is such an immoral system. Billionaire parasites owning more wealth than entire countries while hardworking men and women have to choose between rent and food.

you failed to connect it to biology in any way I did in the sense that females are the bottleneck to reproduction and have neotenous features (which encourages empathy toward them). Let's just say I think it plausible that evolution selected for females that valued self-preservation above empathy for males, and for males who valued protecting women above self-preservation. Can't really prove it though. The closest we have to proof is the simple observation that female life is valued more than ma…

The one glaring problem this would cause feminists is that they would then have to accept proportionate responsibility for the outcomes and can't blanketly blame men for everything. And there is the rub. Females are significantly more risk-averse than males. This makes them significantly less willing to take responsibility for their actions and suffer the punishments that invariably follow. They also have a tendency to value their own lives more than male lives. Google "X risks life to save Y" a…

You'll have to elaborate. Are you suggesting that men are biologically capable of creating a society where all benefits accrue to themselves? Perhaps you could find me a society where men live longer, where females fight the wars and do the dirty work, etc. Under patriarchies, for every alleged privilege that males have there is an equal and opposite female privilege. The biggest privilege females have in patriarchal societies is to have their lives valued more than males. This is because males …

I wager most antifeminists are not MRAs. This is certainly true. However there is a big gaping hole in the Wiki entry because it only focusses on right wing opposition to feminism and virtually ignores the role that women have played in anti-feminism (though does mention female tradcon opposition to the ERA). seemingly anti-feminist and anti-women It's important to distinguish between anti-feminist and anti-women. A solid majority of women do not identify as feminists (I think in the UK it's down to like 7 percent). Conversely plenty of men DO identify as feminists. Then you're going to have to fight the largest feminist organization in the world, the National Organization for Women. And that's just in the US. This is being done for political reasons. During slavery they put black women in charge of the men. In catholic Ireland it was the irish mother who did the churches work at home. In muslim countries you can see the women harassing the men for not being serious enough. Affirmative consent demands that every single aspect of a sexual encounter be proceeded by a verbal request. This is of course absurd, but that's the point. It's a Kafka-trap. Interesting. It cites the foundation funding but doesn't really explain why, beyond "why not?" Interestingly it also mentions that working class women weren't really interested in feminism. Steinem's bizarre explanation is that rich women are more likely to suffer from incest (perhaps a window into her own pathology). Of course the obvious answer is that rich women are apt to be spoiled brats who envy their husband's social status while working class women appreciate the sacrifices their husband…

Someone needs to compile a thorough study of CIA sponsorship of feminism as well as big foundation funding of gender studies etc.

Paul Elam and the folks at AVFM along with the Honey Badgers seem to be the visible MRA's at the moment. Then there are fellow travelers like Sargon of Akkad etc. They seem to range from right-libertarian to tradcon. They often describe themselves as "classical liberals", though Chomsky among others has argued persuasively that most classical liberals (Adam Smith, Jefferson, De Tocqueville etc.) would completely reject right-libertarianism as corporations have become "private tyrannies". Edit: a…

The Men's Rights Movement has been largely driven by the efforts of activist Libertarians Most of the academics who laid the foundations of the MRM are left of center if not outright socialist. Earnest Belford Bax, Warren Farrell, Karen DeCrow, David Benetar, Paul Nathanson, Kathy Youth etc. However the current MRM leadership are mostly right-libertarians. It's worth stressing that there are also left-libertarians and libertarian socialists (though not in the MRM leadership) -- in fact these are…

That's not entirely true. There were factions of the new left (back in the 60's and 70's) that were firmly rooted in the socialist and anarchist traditions. But they were gradually replaced by feminists, post-modernists and identarians. As you point out, this was not by accident. I's amazing that so many Americans are so Pollyanish that they think history is simply one big accident and unintended consequence after another.

It absolutely does. These sorts of videos are all over Youtube. An increasing number of females think they have the right (and for all intents and purposes, they do) to physical assault and even attempt to murder men while suffering no consequences. Men are not robots, so naturally some of them are going to start dishing out their own brand of equality. These women -- including feminists -- demand that men act like gentlemen while they act like thugs.

Interesting (and depressing) that Bax recognized the problem a hundred years ago: feminists want both "equality" and preferential treatment, which is another way of saying they don't want equality at all. They want supremacy, and now they have it. The women in the video should be charged with attempted murder. Of course instead they're going after the dude who clocked her.

lol what is this the 1950's? Ironically it is in capitalist countries that feminism is flourishing while in China schools are giving out books on the virtues of masculinity. Luckily since I'm neither a communist nor a capitalist I don't have to defend either shitty ideology.

You're forgetting about affirmative consent. All you have to do is ask at every stage of a sexual encounter. "Can I kiss you? Can I unbutton your blouse? Can I caress your breasts? Can I lick your asshole?" Etc. It's very romantic.

Some people don't want to ascribe labels to themselves and that's fine. We shouldn't go around badgering people like feminists do. Having said that, I think the whole controversy over the term "MRA" is kinda silly. The easiest way of addressing the issue is simply to say "Yes, I'm a men's rights advocate as well as a women's rights advocate. I'm an MRA and a WRA." "Feminism" is different because it involves extremely dubious theoretical concepts like "patriarchy", as well as an ignominious histo…

Imagine the mentality it takes to use the word "bromance" in a review about a film celebrating the men who fought and died to defeat fascism. These are the ramblings of a spoiled brat narcissist who views men as a mere abstraction. Perhaps someone should take up her challenge and make a film about the women in France and other occupied nations who engaged in romantic relationships with Nazis while their men were off dying. Thankfully such women were a minority.

Truly appalling. There are no depths to which feminists won't sink. Also, I'm having a difficult time remembering the last time we actually "celebrated" maleness. On the contrary males are relentlessly demonized in modern culture while guurl power is everywhere.

Nah. The reason they're given such support by corporate and banking elites is because they distract people from traditional leftist ideas about class and war. Unfortunately there are just as many useful idiots on the left as the right.

I had basically the same experience with therapy. And unfortunately men ARE expected to take control of their lives. That's what these "experts" don't seem to understand: it's not men that are the problem. We know from experience what society expects of us, namely to man up. It's even harder for a person like yourself who can't even rely on family members. There are some men who suffer from severe depression caused by a chemical imbalance, but I would guess that most male suicides result from si…

Okay I see what you're saying and mostly agree. The other problem of course is that men have a very difficult time imagining themselves as a tribe in opposition to the opposite sex, whereas women seem to be practically hard-wired that way. Note that I'm not saying MRA's are opposed to women (on the contrary I think if we succeed it would be beneficial to women), just that our issues are often framed that way. Our gender role is literally to protect women, not fight them, so the "misogyny" charge…

If all it takes is saying "no" then the word "rape" should be in quotation marks. Men are expected to initiate, you can't blame them for failing to read a woman's mind. If women can't even be adult enough to say no perhaps we need to go back to chaperones and arranged marriages. Really makes you wonder if the whole rape thing hasn't always been grotesquely exaggerated, and how many of these "survivors" are just the "victims" of regret sex.

Because if they don't do anything it amounts to empty virtue signaling. Men are at a major disadvantage when it comes to gender issues, to the point where women may be the only ones who can correct this mess. If they truly care about men they need to organize. It wouldn't even be that difficult.

I think it's a core issue with our movement. Men face real prejudice, but it's not as widespread and common, just very serious. In the West males face far, far more oppression than females. From cradle to grave. It's so "common" in fact that the entire education system has been re-engineered to disable boys. It is institutionalized in every aspect of the legal system.

Article is better than most because it at least mentions some structural factors. It also notes that women expect their partners to earn more than they do. Of course it also includes the obligatory: Men probably commit suicides in greater number because they’re less likely to seek help when struggling with mental illness, said Henick. Henick is placing the cart before the horse. Men don't "seek help" because they know no one gives a shit about them. Create a society that VALUES men and masculini…

I would also add that female police officers are more likely to fire their weapons. The same would probably be true of women carrying guns. Your solution would simply end up with a bunch of innocent men getting killed by paranoid feminists.

"Given that the Australian Bureau of Statistics tells us that 1 in 3 victims of domestic violence is male, do you think male victims deserve a proportional level of support services as female victims?" Greens senator Larissa Waters loudly answered: "No." Ladies and gentlemen: the patriarchy in action. We are never going to achieve "gender equality" unless women start to demonstrate that they are capable of empathizing with the opposite sex. Right now it looks as though most of the women in posit…

http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/feminism/2016/09/suzanne-moore-why-i-was-wrong-about-men Amazing to see this sort of overt hate speech in a once respected publication. Article is from 2016. I think a great action opportunity would be for MRA's living in countries with hate speech laws to make official complaints to the police about these sorts of articles. I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.

Well, in the West at least men used to get default custody because they were responsible for the child. In the mid 19th century women asked for the law to be changed because it was making them unhappy. So the "patriarchal" government obliged and instituted the "tender years doctrine." Edit: I would argue that the new system was even more unfair than the previous, since men were still financially responsible for their children and wives but could be denied contact with their children. So men coul…

I suspect the intended message is that shared custody isn't the norm in some areas because our culture continues to buy into the idea that men cannot be nurturers. It doesn't imply that women cannot be nurturers or that men are better at it, merely that both genders are capable. Feminist groups have consistently opposed shared parenting. It has nothing to do with "patriarchy." In fact under patriarchal systems fathers get default custody. child development experts believe that children are bette…

What do you think it is that is driving them mad? Hard to say. They are choosing to compete with men when they are simply not equipped to do so. That must cause a lot of anger and resentment. It's also possible that not fulfilling their biological drive to have children causes mental issues. It does cause physical ones -- eg women who don't have children are much more likely to get cancer. That's something you won't hear from feminists any time soon ;)

Women are increasingly unstable and mentally ill in this society. Encouraging them to carry around guns is quite possibly the dumbest idea I've ever heard. And I say that as someone who supports gun rights 100 percent.

I don't understand why conservatives aren't taking this approach. It's like they think yelling "man up!" is gonna do the trick. Sorry but most men aren't idiots. If you expect them to come back to the plantation you'll at least have to radically reform the laws.

First half of the article is surprisingly fair. Then it goes right down the feminist shitter. US figures presented in The Red Pill report that men commit more than 90 per cent of homicides and 98 per cent of rapes. I don't recall seeing those stats in the Red Pill. In any case they're false. Men only commit "98 percent of rapes" if we exclude envelopment, aka female on male rape. If we include the latter it's more or less even. Males are also the majority victims of rape if we include prison rap…

Great post, except for this passage, which is completely upside down: Further, men like hierarchy. In a sense it permits impersonality: You obey the rank, not the man. From a man's point of view, the effect is to promote efficiency, to allow a focus on the job at hand, while avoiding personal conflict. Women neither like nor respect hierarchy, particularly male hierarchy, and their mere presence short-circuits it. Anyone who has read a basic anthropology textbook about hunter-gatherers knows tha…

I have no problem with suspending my disbelief for sorcery, dragons and armies of the dead. That's the world it is set in. But when Brienne beats the Hound in single combat or some sand snake chick takes on ten guys in a fight it completely ruins the immersion. Unless females are biologically different in the Game of Thrones Universe it just comes off as cynical feminist pandering. That goes for all these Hollywood crime/spy flicks as well. I had no problem with Wonder Woman because she was a su…
