I just want to state that I'm working on a documentary that is about harassment, assault, abuse, etc. Although the topic is largely on women, most people agree that men are abused as well. I just want you to know that a lot of well-educated people understand it. Whether or not they can conceptualize abuse against males is another story.

How does history disagree exactly? How have women been equal to men up until recently? I'm going to be honest, as a male a lot of people feel like there's no reason for me to have feelings and want to cry sometimes. It makes them uncomfortable. I feel like that sort of stigmatization is the reason something like this stands out: men are trapped in what they should feel without anybody thinking of how they really do feel. Going to a seperate topic a bit (sorry), there's a Hillary Clinton post made today about how women are most affected by war and death because they greave. Well they do have good points because wage gaps and people controlling their bodies is still a problem in the world. I agree with you that they do take it too far sometimes but this is on a generalization's basis. Since the general consensus is that since Emma Watson and this organization aren't going 50/50 for the equalization of men's rights and women's rights then the organization is misguided. Although I agree with this, I also like to see that this is one of the first times I've seen an organization this influential has even mentioned men's rights and the wrongful feminism. Yes she may seem more on one side than on the other, but at least she's advocating that men are being treated by stereotypes and forms of inequality as well. She came across as the one of the first large advocates for men's rights although it may have been in a half-hearted demeanor. Although she's incorrect about a lot of things, she's still has a lot to learn about gender inequality, and so I'm not criticizing her speech.
