To a significiant extant at this point. I think the process was gradual. Access to porn wasn't as extensive and widespread from the 1970s to the 1990s, so it wasn't that significant back then. I think the effect really took on from mid-to-late 1990s onward.

Nothing is gonna change for as long as women are incentivized to seek out men of high social standing in order to secure their well-being.

Then it's pointless to have this conversation at all.

No. What it indicates is that social attitudes have underlying economic and material causes. Considering how women are basically replacing men in academia and many high-prestige fields, this is not a tenable position. The trend is poised to reverse as women outrank men in leadership position and in wealth.

It also means women who invite should pay the bill.

Here's my hot take: whomever invites should pay the bill. Edgy, right?

"Evidence for this link is mixed, however, and recent research suggests the association between self-rated attractiveness and preferences for facial sexual dimorphism may not generalise to non-Western cultures." In other words, what counts as physically attractive may be in large part culturally relative.

My sex drive died on its own. Got bored of porn. I progressively stopped cooming. Now, I don't even get erections. It's like my body adapted to a sexless life. Even my own metabolism has accepted that sex is never gonna happen for me, making all the sex hormones basically useless, so it stopped producing them.

We all know men are hierarchically ranked when it comes to sex and romance. If you fall below a certain standard, you're automatically blacklisted from any form of intimacy and love. And you're never allowed to voice any kind of complaint. You're supposed to smile, accept it ethusiastically and be happy about the fact that you're a worthless piece of shit unworthy of love and companionship and will likely live the rest of your life as well as die alone.

This is what happens when the left eschews class in favor of identity politics — it becomes impotent and divisive. The problem isn't that she's a "far-left extremist". The problem is that she fails to see the importance of social classes and how it is the main factor for why things are the way they are. Why systemic racism exists, why systemic patriarchy exists, why discrimination exists, etc... These things have genuine material and economic causes and she can't see the many nuances and intrica…

The degree at which men and women can understand each other is also determined by their social class. A middle or upper class woman is far less likely to understand the issues that men from the lower classes face than women from the lower classes. The thing is, the issues that bottom-of-the-barrell underclass men face aren't strictly caused by the fact that they are men. These men are marginalized for a plethora of reasons, including but not limited to poverty, mental illness, race or height.

Liberal feminism is cancer. If you want to hear valuable feminist ideas, you have to look into radical feminism and Marxist feminism. My own worldview is largely informed by radical and Marxist feminist thought, although I would not consider myself strictly feministic. What's missing from the mainstream feminist discourse is a lack of concrete material and historical analysis of the causes of the issues that women face. If we focused more on the material, structural and historical causes, instea…

You really think the self-improvement industry is a panacea? Are you really so naive that you unironically believe that people in my predicament have never even thought about that? That we've never done that? That we're not doing that? Do you think the world is a fair place where each reap what they sow? Because I've got news for you; it ain't how it works.

No. What I'm saying is the environmental and economic conditions shape the social and cultural conditions in which men and women are socialized, which are in turn, shaping up their beliefs and behavior. If you change the environment in which men and women are socialized, things may be different for the better or for the worse.

Maybe the way men and women relate to one another is actually toxic and not in actual essential or inborn to men and women at all, but rather ideologies stemming from past environmental necessities and current socioeconomic realities. What if socioeconomic realities were to change for the better, a new way of relating would emerge between men and women and a healthier one?

Elements suggestive of a high social standing are what attract women. Notwithstanding financial and capital assets, a tall height, traditionally masculine physical traits, low neuroticism and high extraversion – with its associated charisma, and strong leadership abilities are suggestive of a high social standing. Likewise, a short height, androgynous physical traits, high neuroticism, low extraversion and a submissive interpersonnal disposition are associated with low social status.

Promiscuous women, as well as men, contribute in the transmission of Venereal diseases. Hypersexual men and women, more often than not, also have underlying psychological issues.

I think this is pure ideology. Men do have a need for bonding and intimacy, like women do. However, the idea that men are inherent sex machines, seems to me at least, to be an uncritically accepted cultural belief, one that is historically used to justify the resourcification of women.

Because we live in a culture in which dating is reduced to an economic relationship in which women ARE the commodity and female attention, the capital to be hoarded. The problem fundamentally broils down to economics. Not "sexual economics", or whatever that us. No. I'm talking about actual, plain old economics. There is one thing that you fail to take into account; the Internet has been fully integrated into everyday reality. Online dating has become the primary way people meet prospecting partners and COVID-19 is only making this reality more palpable. This isn't a delusion. At least not in today's era. It is happening. That's not to say that I do agree that hypergamy isn't the cause of the loneliness epidemic. At least not on its own.

It is. We are fast locking in +2°C of warming. +2°C of warming will cause an unprecedented drop in crop yields and a refugee crisis so immense there is no way modern civilization could survive. +4°C would cause such a warm up that much of the Earth would be rendered completely uninhabitable and the loss of biodiversity would be so catastrophic, it is inconceivable humanity could survive without the necessary ecological services that make agriculture, or even a hunter-gatherer lifestyle possible.

And Humanity, has we speak, as fairly low levels of genetic diversity relative to the number of individual Humans.
