I know this is jokey. "Yes" is only half of it—"yes" doesn't add anything it only confirms. Yes only reflects, it doesn't build. So not just a Yes-Man, a Yes-And Man. I could go on all day. Improvisor here, 14 years experience. The thing to remember is that you eventually internalize the idea of "yes, and." You don't need to literally say it out loud before every line. You'll sound weird and it won't make grammatical sense most of the time. But the philosophy, the value of "yes, and," that "I heard what you said, it's true, I love it, and I want to add to it" is what we're really following. "Yes" is super easy.
