One of the most important parts of what /u/Wikdcard345 outlined is don't ever go back. She'll reason with you, insist it won't happen again, try to convince you that you're making too much out of it, and maybe even throw in something to the tune of "I didn't even hit you that hard" or "But it's different when a girl does it." Value yourself and your ethics and don't allow anyone to bring you down, especially when it comes to looking out for number one.

Yeeeeeah, about that: I was in a heated (well, luke warm) debate earlier - like, right before I cross-posted this link - about "sexism and misogyny" stemming from mine and another redditor's choice of words and I tried removing myself from that thread and wound up coming across this picture. Dring my break from reddit this afternoon, I went grocery shopping and am now about to sit down to a very delicious dinner so, all in all, I'm feeling much better now. :D Salud!

No, that's not really what I meant. Now that it's a few hours later I feel like I overreacted a bit but it got under my skin to begin with and irritated me, though I blew it out of proportion. While I do moreso see the humour in it, I also still find it to be a trifle sexist. Now, though, I'm just sort of rolling my eyes instead of throwing my hands in the air.

I get that but if this is posted within a customer's view, more than just this chick (meaning myself) will find it offensive. I know it's not on par with the truly sexist headlines usually posted to /r/mensrights but it irritated me a skosh. It just came off as somewhat demeaning in my mind. I had this elaborate scene play out in my head where an employee actually brought this up to a man picking a colour for his home, whether he had a significant other or not (be they female or male.) I'm a woman and I find this idiotic, trivial, and offensive. An interesting aside, it would by my boyfriend who'd be picking the colours in my stead because I sure as shit wouldn't pick something agreeable. Edit: And I'd be livid if he needed a signed note like a kindergartner.

I'm a woman and have no kids but these sort of things really get me miffed, like having a changing station in the women's room but not the men's. So much for equality.
