Oh, i definitely agree there and prisons (and everything we do that leads to prison) should be overhauled. I still think prison has a place but not for profit. The issue i had with it is that this is the students union. They've sort of morphed themselves into some sort of radical political party. Universities are even disassociating with them. It's always been one piece of hand luggage and a handbag/laptop bag/briefcase. You could quite easily take a male equivalent of a handbag and be fine. It's not really an equal rights issue. I suggest bringing up the problems without gender first. If I was HR at a law firm and her CV popped into my mailbox and I did a quick google search of her name she wouldn't even make it through the building. Actually, martial arts can be amazing for kids. It teaches a lot about discipline and is very, very tactical. I've seen kids learn MMA and they aren't just pitted against each other and made to fight. That never happens. Teaching kids a martial art is all about teaching them the moves and how to anticipate the moves without ever getting hurt. I just read a load of comments on this story on another site. Things like why the hell does this women not have custody etc. etc. and not one person has given a solitary shit about the dad. One even said the courts are a minefield and it has pandered to the politically correct and newly fangled fathers rights. Men don't seem to win either way. Either we want the kid and can't have the kid or we don't want the kid so we have to pay for the kid.

I like how there was a big spiel about she was a good mother, wasn't unfit or mentally ill, had a nice home for the, etc. and she was still going to lose the child. This all being said while totally ignoring the father would miss his child if she had sole custody. Divorces with children are always ugly. They should be put with the parent who will benefit them the most and a proper arrangement made. This could never have happened when she made false accusations to try and win.
