You do realise that Andrew Bolt is Australia's answer to Rush Limbaugh? He's had civil suits brought against him for racial vilification, not to mention his track record of climate-change denialism. He's just another Newscorp flapping-mouth who works to incite division and stifle intelligent argument. Just sayin'. Source here

Your father sounds as though he 's a man with little or no self-esteem. On some level he no doubt believes himself to be of little value, putting himself second to everyone around him. Without directly interfering in the situation, the most you could helpfully do would be to help make him feel good about himself. Praise from one's offspring can be very uplifting. Help him to believe, not know, that he deserves better. His wife sounds like a toxic personality; one that needs the constant familiar…
