Do you know the link to the article? I'd love to read it. The body's reactions to different forms of stress fascinates me. RE: Ripped Guy vs Skinny Guy, I think you're right regarding the median, but if you're not using testosterone supplements or steroids, you won't get overly bulky anyway.

Distance running causes your body to produce the stress hormone cortisol, which will eat your muscles. You're better off doing sprints. Unless you don't like the muscular look. I've always seen girls going crazy over the ripped guy instead of the skinny guy when put side by side though.

Similar situation here, except I left. My last gf was a baker and wasn't very active, so naturally I fell out of the habit of hitting the gym. I noticed how chunky I was getting after seeing some pics and started working out again. She complained a lot about it, so I ended it. I've dated hotter in the past and wanted to get back to that level. Almost there...

Women in LTRs will want their men to stop working out. They're afraid that they'll lose him to some other girl as he improves his physique. This happened to my cousin after he got married. He was the most dedicated gym buddy I've ever had, but a few months into his marriage his wife told him she didn't want a husband who was at the gym all the time. Now he's fat.

Anyone can achieve greatness, it's just that some people are born into better situations to reach it than others. Hard, smart work and dedication can get you to the top.

I think that women feel they SHOULD be attracted to betas/nice guys. That's why they'll always tell a beta to "be himself and the right one will come along." The attraction to alphas/jerks is more of a subconscious thing and doesn't make sense to them. It's cognitive dissonance. Women don't know what they want, so when they tell you what they're looking for in a guy, do the opposite. I've observed that when they describe the "perfect guy," they're describing what they wish they were attracted to…

Could be. Like I said, it's just a theory. Or it could be a combination of the two.

Good point. I was in Boy Scouts as a kid. While they don't permit homosexuality or atheism, they don't indoctrinate the kids against them. It's simply never mentioned. At least that was my experience. I personally don't care what someone's religious viewpoints or sexual orientation are. On a somewhat related note: I theorize that the rise in homosexuality is due to the blurring of gender roles in modern society.

Isn't it somewhat RP for them to stand up for their beliefs, even if it isn't acceptable with current popular culture? It's an association/club, not a business. I think it's fine for them to decide who is allowed to join and who isn't. No one is stopping gays or atheists from starting their own thing.

I've been in better shape in the past, but I kinda got a little chubby over the past couple of years. I'm working on that. Any tips for gym game? I've never figured out the gym approach.

I'm in my mid-late 20s. This sounds like some solid stuff. I've been reevaluating my interests lately. Part of my problem is that my current social circle isn't really active. It's mostly just hanging out at someone's house. Time to make new friends!

No probs. In my experience it's pretty easy to fall back into the beta mindset when I'm around people I used to hang out with or dated in my beta days. Not that I'm completely alpha yet, but that's why we're here, right?

Just say no man. I've been there and I know it's hard, but more than likely nothing good will come of it.

I had a female friend tell me once that if she didn't know me better, she'd think I was gay. Since gay men are usually pretty feminine, I took offense to it and realized I needed to work on my masculinity.

I've been the guy who orbits after the break up before. It's not worth it. When I have hard nexted a girl after she rejected me, she usually came back around at some point. Then I nexted her again and watched her go crazy.

I like to listen to audiobooks and podcasts while I run. My mind tends to wander while I'm reading books, so this works best for me.

I'd consider myself a Beta+ right now. I know I can be an Alpha+ and I have been in the past, but I fell out of that mindset when I put on some weight. It's amazing how being in shape can affect your mindset and social standing. Just gotta keep lifting and running to get back there.

Good point. That's the mindset I'm at right now as well. I just got promoted today, but it's still comical seeing women who don't know what they're doing climb the ranks at my company with no backing credentials.

It's not really complaining that they wear revealing clothing, it's the complaint that these women live life on easy mode by showing off their "assets" and expect to be taken seriously.

I was in a similar situation a few years ago (I was pretty beta in college). I just went my own way for a while. I started running, dropped 30 lbs, and gained some confidence. That made it much easier to pick up girls. After a few months of getting over her, she eventually came crawling back. I used her to get a marketing director position on campus (she was well connected). She "confessed" a few times that she always loved me but it was only when she caught wind of me dating someone else. Just …

I think there's a misinterpretation of the word "forgive" out there. Forgiving doesn't mean you forget what someone did. I can forgive someone for punching me in the face unprovoked, but I'll still suspect that they would do it again.

I found TRP towards the end of my anger phase. I was getting to this mindset on my own, but TRP is helping me do it faster. I don't think I'm quite there yet, but I'm definitely seeing improvements. Now I'm working on my programming skills and working out hard, 6 days a week. There's a certain power that came when I stopped looking at women as potential LTRs. As soon as I stopped showering them with affection, they started WANTING my attention. Weird how that works.

I think if they fit your body type then wear them. Girls around my part of the US seem to like it. I have a thicker frame due to Polynesian ancestry, so I could never pull them off.

I figured they don't. I just thought the idea in these verses was relevant to TRP and wanted to share.
