Probably not. He needs a win. A success in the business he's building or a job that gives him authority. He's not going to step up until something happens for him that makes him feel good about himself. Is there anything you can do to help his own business ideas be more successful? If yours is doing well perhaps a nudge in the right direction for his will get the ball rolling

He needs a job. He has no motivation to be the man of the house because he's not. First step is make him get a job.

I find it helps to write down your thoughts rather than speak them aloud to each other. If you have trouble communicating trying writing it down and have him respond in writing. Try to write exactly what your problem is and how you are feeling. This way you think through your thoughts, you don't take offense from tones or body language. I hope this helps

Sounds like you should explain your expectations. There is nothing wrong with wanting what you want, you need to communicate though. You both deserve to know if you are headed in the same direction for relationship expectations. Don't be afraid to have these talks!!! Better to find out sooner rather than later. Good luck!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
