I think you meant to say "wouldn't feel." If so o wholeheartedly agree.

He's starting to show you his true colors, which are that he will try to control you and stop you from doing anything that makes him feel insecure the deeper you two get, no matter how innocent. This isn't cool, I would leave and find a man who is supportive of something heathy that makes you feel good. Theres nothing wrong with belly dancing. And if it brings you as much joy as you say it's quite messed up he would try to prevent you from doing it,

This was really helpful. I have a final interview with the company two hours away and a few other opportunities I'm talking to even further away. I also have a remote opportunity that would be a big pay cut, but it would allow me to be close to him. I am now, almost certainly, on borrowed time at my current role but I know I will find something soon--but it may require a move. This script will be really helpful when I present him with my (our) options. He definitely doesn't want to lose me and h…

This isn't that high. Also, stop discussing body count with men. It's none of their business and no high quality man will ask you outright anyway. Just behave with class going forward.

Does he know any of your good girlfriends? My best friend always helps my boyfriend buy my gifts/jewelry. She should offer to help. She can shoot him a text that says, "omg I was on the phone with [you] and she told me you're gonna promise. That's so exciting! If you need any help planning the proposal or finding the ring I would love to help. I know [you] might be hard to shop for since she's anti-diamond. There's so many beautiful x rings out there though and I'd love to help you look" That so…

I used to be like you. I am extremely physically attractive but was desperate for approval, male validation, and a relationship. It took a lot of work but I came out the other side, learned to love myself and now am in a great relationship with a HMV. When I was 29 I broke up with my best friend and long term boyfriend who I was convinced I was going to marry. That breakup hurt my self image and I had a year where I didn't value myself. I ended up in a relationship during Covid with a real jerk,…

Right. It would be very off putting to me, personally, if the number one thing a guy thought I could bring to the table was domestic skills like cooking and cleaning. Of course, you need to be able to be a functioning adult and not make your partner's life more difficult. But beyond that, I would hope he would want to be with me long term because of the way I make him feel, because I make him laugh, because I support him emotionally, because I am his cheerleader and biggest fan. Otherwise why ev…

At the same time though, a true high value guy, IMO, will not begrudge his wife/girlfriend her own success because he should be secure enough to realize they are not competing, but instead complementing each other.

For sure. I think if a woman did have a "ho phase" when she was younger, though, it's not something she needs to advertise once she's matured. With the way people meet now, on dating apps, at work, at bars, there's no reason anyone needs to know about your sexual past and no way for them to find out if you've outgrown that stage. My college roommate banged the entire football team in college. She grew up, became a successful accountant, met her husband in the workforce and got married. None of o…

I think my current boyfriend sees me as someone serious, at least he tells me he does, he doesn't want to hear about my past relationships, in general, but of course he knows they existed.

I thought this was a really good response because it acknowledges there are some things that are bare minimum-- maintain your health and appearance, no dead bedroom, offering support, but the rest is really subjective and will depend on the needs of your man and what personally makes him happy. A lot of women, including a cleaning lady, can maintain a clean home, but not everyone can provide the companionship and joy that you hopefully bring your partner.

This 100%. That's why the most important thing in dating to do is BE YOURSELF. If yourself is a Michelin star chef that loves to clean and wear frilly aprons with red lipstick while doing so, that's awesome, be that. If yourself loves to go out dancing on Saturday nights (dancing is fun!) and listen to new music and you subsist on protein shakes and meals out with your boyfriend and your girls and finance colleagues, that's awesome, be that. There's someone out there that will love that the firs…

People do grow up. I don't think most emotionally mature men who love you, as you are now, are phased by what you may have done x years ago and that once in a while you have a ton of fun at that Halloween party.

I agree that men want wholesome but I don't think you need to necessarily be a nun. IME most men don't care how many people you've slept with or what wild thing you did in college and don't ask. I've literally never been asked my number by any guy I've dated or whatever. I think most men (although some guys seriously seem to love mean women) want a women who is sweet. Like caring, nurturing, loving, likes kids, kind to all, etc. would you agree?

I think men want someone who adds joy and levity to their day to day. What adds joy to a guys life will vary guy to guy based on the guys individual personality, priorities, career, values, interests, etc. In general though most men will find a woman that is sweet, with a generous spirit, caring, fun to be around, attractive, etc, to be that value add. The rest is subjective. But even these general qualities will vary from man to man. There are plenty of guys that are obsessed with women who are…

Ya you just got to maintain your boundaries and give them room to step up to the plate. My boyfriend is from the Pacific NW and he thought I would be offended if he picked up the check too much when we first got together! But I kinda just let it be known that I expected to be treated and treasured in a lovely, feminine way (I.e. never reaching for the bill, always thanking him, being very affectionate) and after a short while we fell into a very traditional dynamic. I've always gotten pretty close with my trainers. And hiring a trainer isn't cheap. I wouldn't be shy letting your clients know that you're on the market. Maybe one will know someone for you! In the meantime, dating apps, parties, friends, social circle, etc

I know it's a hard time for software engineers right now and there have been a lot of layoffs in the industry. Are you trying to get back into it? Are you pivoting to a different career? Going back to school? I would sort that out, while also putting yourself out there. Most HVM likely won't want to enter into a relationship with someone who is unemployed or underemployed unless she's literally an heiress. I definitely don't mean to kick you when you're down. I know it's really hard rn for SEs

Do you have a career? In my experience, most highly successful men marry other highly successful women, and then that woman may leave the workforce after kids. Highly successful men want someone who is on their level intellectually, usually, with their own interests and stuff going on. I would work on yourself while maintaining your femininity, cultivating your appearance, and fitness, and maintaining a social circle of solid, supportive girlfriends that raise you up. If your girlfriends are als…

I also own my own home, so me moving opens up having to sell my house or find renters. All these things that complicate my life. It would kind of piss me off if he had me do that, only to propose a year or so later and come back to the area.

The in house counsel role is not remote. It would be in person. I've been trying to find remote GC roles but it's not happening. They're very competitive and I think for that first role I just need to kind of take what I can to get that first GC experience. The current market I live in is just very limiting. I'm in New Orleans and there are very few companies here that can support a GC and it's sort of a good old boys club as far as building business, which is one of the reasons I don't see myse…

I guess I want him to propose at the year mark if he's serious about really doing this so I can stop stressing about having to move for work and do the long distance thing and just focus on merging our lives and building a future together. But I don't think he will. I think he thinks that's too soon.
/r/RedPillWomen12/08/24 10:21 PM
2

Yes I've discussed all this with him. I don't think he gets it though. He just says he'll support me and he doesn't want a long distance thing to be permanent but he wants me to be happy in my career and make the first step to do that and he's happy to do most of the commuting. And I'm just like ughhhh.
/r/RedPillWomen12/08/24 10:18 PM

Your focus on dating activities is misplaced, to say the least. There are places to go on a date wherever you may live and a guy who this you're hot, fun, and interesting is going to think so whether you meet for a drink or meet to go paddle boarding. Once you start really daring someone most of the things you do are just eating and drinking anyway--not every date can be some crazy activity
/r/RedPillWomen11/08/24 04:02 AM
1

Also I know it seems he is serious and this is the only obstacle, but there's no guarantee until there's a ring on your finger. He may be using the distance as a scapegoat, even subconsciously and he thinks he's serious about marriage intellectually. Once you're actually there anything can happen and you don't know if he will simply decide there's another obstacle. It's not that he's intentionally misleading you.

I think asking him to pay moving costs and the fee to break your lease is good. Once you figure out how much it's really going to cost you monthly to move (that won't be made up in higher earnings), you need to present him with this information. You're the only one making a sacrifice here-- maybe he doesn't pay rent, but perhaps he makes up some of your extra expenses by helping you with the electric bill if he's going to sleep over a lot or paying for all the food costs when you're together (wh…

Ok, but he's asking her to completely uproot her life at a financial cost with no real reassurance the relationship will go anywhere. Plenty of men delay marriage despite seeming serious and continually use the current obstacle. Today it is the long distance, tomorrow it will be because they haven't lived together yet. She needs some real reassurance from him whether it be an engagement ring or a financial commitment to close the gap or to pay for her moving expenses.

There is no such thing as "the wall" if you continue to take care of yourself. I am more beautiful at 34 than I was at 24. Start using tretinoin now. Exercise. Eat healthy. Use vitamin c serum every morning and spf. My boyfriend at 34 is the most high value man I've ever dated. He runs a successful company, has properties, kind, leader, and we are discussing marriage. You can not make a promise to a guy you barely know that you will put your life and career on hold to be his girlfriend. I don't think any HVM would expect you to (sounds like he doesn't and came at this reasonably) and also likely would lose respect for you if you devalued your own goals and dreams for a stranger. Here is how I would approach this. I would reiterate that family and marriage are your priority but life is full of surprises and there are no guarantees. You have to continue investi…

The best thing you can do is present an ACCURATE but LIGHTLY edited version of yourself so that you are posting pictures that show the real you, but nevertheless put your best foot forward. I am not saying I am of "higher value" than anyone. I said above my current partner is not my "looks match" which he is the first to admit, but when you are in love there are no "leagues." I don't really care that he likes to hang out at dive bars, and sometimes I go with him on Sunday afternoons. He appreciates I get him to do other things. You mentioned you don't care about credentials or a women's job, and seem to imply her interests don't matter, or even how pretty she is, just that she's "skinny," earlier, but then go on to say intelligence is communicated by how she solves problems in her life and talks about things like her job. Of course women and men value different things in partners. Most people want to be around people they have fun with though. My partner doesn't care if I go to the gym five nights a week or whatever else I'm into, and in fact he's said to me in the past he'd prefer I work out a little less so we could spend more time together, but he likes that I have things to talk about, and I make him laugh, and I always have fun things for us to do together on the weekend. I'm not in a city as big as NY but it's a super culturally rich city known for eating and drinking so it's not necessarily a small feat, but it's also not that hard to know of like one nice cocktail/wine bar with small plates in each neighborhood.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/22 04:09 PM

I would just say, I like wine too. The (insert bar you mentioned) or (other bar you like/know) has a nice wine list. See you there at x time. I really don't think it takes a lot of effort to stay up on where to eat and drink in a city. I do it for myself bc I enjoy it. What do you even mean the "price", "mid", etc? If a man expresses interest in an average looking (or "low-mid") or however you are defining the woman in question, why shouldn't she be courted? If a man wants to spend time with her, shouldn't he do the bare minimum? Be nice to her, bring her on dates, etc? Or do only "high value" women deserve to be treated with decency? What does "high value" even mean? Because to me it means treating anyone you say you want to spend time with like a human being…

Sometimes people want to scratch an itch. It's not that they don't like the guy. To be honest, in these situations she doesn't KNOW the guy. But once in a while you just need to get laid and it doesn't really matter what their thoughts are on puppies and marriage and music and insert whatever else arbitrary criteria you care about because they're just a body and you probably don't really care if you ever see them again and that's ok. I think most women prefer this physique over super ripped. Especially women who are also fit. My boyfriend is unfortunately not fit but I'm trying to get him in the gym. I think it would be really fun to be able to do active hiking vacations, morning runs, etc together
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/22 02:39 PM

I'm a fit girl, and my preference is a tall, fit guy. Once a guy is not soft and has some definition I do not need him to be more muscular. I think, in fact, there is probably a point where a guy is too jacked and it is unattractive to me. I don't like the giant, veiny look. I'd rather a guy that looks like he goes hiking on the weekends and can go on a run with me, with some masculine definition.

Ok so you are essentially saying you are unkind, not nice, a drag to be around, unfriendly, not funny, shy, and you don't pay attention to a woman if you manage to get her? And you don't bother to approach ones you like? Well yes, I don't see why any woman would want to be with someone who is mean to them, ignores them, doesn't pursue them, isn't friendly to them, and is a drag to be around. You're not owed a woman. Bars and pubs are absolutely not only good for casual sex. I met two long term relationships at bars. My parents met at a club and are still together. People go to these places to socialize. Same with parties. I met my current partner at a party. Learn to approach.

I think intramural sports is a good suggestion. I have some single friends, both male and female that play adult kickball. I think a lot of women are really connection oriented though (myself included). There are probably some women that would go for a known fuck boii for "fun" but I think just as many, if not more, are only interested in sex (even if it happens on the first night) if there's a connection. A lot of fuck boiis know this and are expert at deceiving women into feeling special in order to make her believe she is experiencing that connection.

I don't think this is the norm. Women do not see out to have sex with and fall for fuck bois. He's a fuck boi because he knows all the right things to say to make her feel special, etc. he is pretending to be a good one. It isn't until after they have sex she realizes he's a cad. I don't think women want to have sex with "bad" men. I think women have sex with men they are attracted to and men they like. Sometimes those men are good, sometimes they are lying to get into her pants, and more often than not it's somewhere in between. There's often no way for a woman to know before having sex. She's not classifying them as good or bad before doing the deed. She's hoping they are good (and they are probably pretending to be) because she likes then enough to have sex with them …

Girls want to have fun. Dating someone broke is not fun. But if the guy can support himself and provide some fun experiences (I.e. has a decent amount of money), sense of humor, charisma, charm, zest for life, etc are way more important than just gaining more and more status. I dated a very rich guy for a while when I was 24. He took me to some incredible restaurants but at the end of the day I really didn't like being around him so I ended it before we ever had sex. Lol, the mental gymnastics men have to do to believe their money will inspire "genuine desire" as they age. Especially when these same men tend to be the ones offended by a woman that doesn't want to go Dutch.

Because they need to believe in fairy tales. What they are currently offering women isn't working so they need to tell themselves the women they are interested in, who aren't interested in them, will face a rapid decline after thirty and get what's coming to her, but men will be more handsome and will somehow become rich too and as a result women will be throwing themselves at them. This is delusional. First, money cannot buy attraction. You might be able to legitimately pay someone to be with y…

This is delusional. I have a good friend who is an older man, I have known him for over ten years (so since his 50s- he is in his early 60s now). He had beau coup money but he is overweight and not very attractive. He's rich and fun though with a great house, pool, and a desire to date younger, attractive women in their 20s and 30s (I'm 32 and he's constantly asking me to set him up with my friends and has tried to date me-- I met him in my early 20s at a music venue). None of these women want t…

Studies also show break ups are more devastating for men because usually their girlfriend is their best friend and only source of emotional support. Men just don't have the sorts of friendships women have with other women, by and large, whereas women have reciprocal, supportive friendships with other females where you share and talk about everything. Men usually get that social need filled from their girlfriends, whereas women usually have several places they can fill it (friends, sisters, mom).…

Bizarre to me. I've never discussed it ever with anyone including a 4 year relationship and a fiancé (and other dudes who I was serious with)

So in real life it's just not an issue because it's not discussed much

So in most cases the woman initiated the conversation. I think most men would not ask in early dating if they really liked the woman bc they understand it's considered rude by many, and a high n count woman just wouldn't bring it up unless for some reason it was important to her that her partner know and accept her. But even so I think she would wait until she felt like they were close and she could trust him with very sensitive and personal info, and at that time the bond is built so it becomes…

I feel like no one on here discussing body counts has ever actually dated. No one asks during early dating about body counts because it's just considered rude. By the time you're at the place where it's even something you could acceptably ask about, you have developed a bond and like each other for other reasons-- like the way they laugh at your jokes, how much fun you have together, etc. so it continues to be a non-issue that likely isn't discussed because it just doesn't matter. You observe th…

Because pregnancy and child rearing effect women more on all levels (including economically, leaving work force, paying for pregnancy associated healthcare) I disagree with your premise. They can expect men to pay for dates if the man is interested in sex and complain about the wage gap all they want, because they will be the ones effected by a pregnancy to a larger extent (including economically).

I am just giving you insight into a reason why you should, absent the pay gap. If a woman gets pregnant with your child she needs to exit the workforce for some time, which effects her earnings. So, no, equal wages and you having to buy dinner to get laid so she can see if ur willing to provide does not "make you a second class citizen."

It's a major turn off to me, a woman who is considered conventionally attractive, when the man does not pay in the beginning. I always have my wallet and I am prepared to pay, but I won't be seeing him again and I'm definitely not sleeping with him. After three or four dates, i usually offer to pick up a meal or drinks as a gesture of thanks and good will once there has been rapport. In the past, once things are official, I have switched off with boyfriends. My current boyfriend will not allow m…

In a post roe v wade world, men that want access to a womb (I.e. sex) need to pay 100% if they live somewhere where abortion is illegal (ie TX, LA, etc.). Given the real risk birth control can fail, men that want sex need to show they can provide. Buying dinner is the bare minimum.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
