Throughout history yes there are always dominant groups. But when they act in a way that is unfair, inhumane, or disadvantageous to others, society calls for change. I.e. with slavery, women’s suffrage movement, the holocaust. You could argue that at the time the majority in that society supported these things, until a movement, social awakening, or intervention put them into question. And that’s how the world goes round.

To me, feminism means gender equality. Men and women experience much different struggles in modern society. I agree that men have their share of struggles but many have benefited from a system of white men being largely in charge. Yes you can argue women are “doing fine,” just like you could argue men are “doing fine.” If you compared us to under developed countries you would say we are all doing great. I can appreciate that men have different struggles than women and are held to different stand…

I agree that minority groups definitely experience issues of inequality much differently than white people. And to that point there should be more intersectionality and representation.

More than anything women just want a man who is well rounded and able to take care of himself. My boyfriend and I split our bills/costs. He gets paid more than me so he pays a larger percentage of those bills. If and when I make more money, I will take over the larger portion of costs. Every relationship is different and decides what is best for themselves. Personally I enjoy being self sufficient and having a sense of independence. Feminism = Equality. Just because men finally have to think and consider before acting out/ saying things doesn’t mean they aren’t allowed to be heard. Have you ever tried to empathize with the female experience? What a woman actually goes through? How about a female family member - a mom, grandma, sister, aunt, or cousin?
