This just in, science says women actually have the same physical strength as men. In other news, science still says men are inherently bad. Thank you, Motherboard, for redefining "science".I agree that the science journalist here has a pretty obvious bias--ironically criticizing certain scientists for being biased as males, while ignoring her own similar bias. But even so, I still think she has a point in criticizing the mate selection theory of menopause, since the authors seem to take certain assumptions for granted, despite these assumptions raising questions that should at least have been acknowledged I'm the paper. And I think there is a decent argument to be made that some d… | /r/MensRights | 23/06/17 09:50 PM

Thank you, Motherboard, for redefining "science".Why is her conclusion wrong, in your eyes? I believe she was referring to inclusive fitness--in this case, the fact that older women can still ensure the survival of their genes by caring for and promoting the survival of their relatives. It's a pretty well-established part of evolutionary biology, I thought, and even the authors of the paper she was criticizing mentioned it as a popular explanation. Also, I think there is some very legitimate criticism of the mate choice theory of menopause. Th… | /r/MensRights | 23/06/17 03:40 PM |
Saw this on youtube; it BELONGS here.I agree that women should be treated equally in situations like this, and you should be able to hit them back if they start something, but videos like this still seem wrong to me. I mean, is it just me, or is it maybe a bit of an overreaction to punch somebody in the face for getting too close to you? I'm admittedly speaking from a place of ignorance here since I've never been in that kind of situation, but I don't think that level of reaction is warranted when the other person hasn't touched yo… | /r/MensRights | 15/07/13 03:45 AM
Was I Sexually Harassed?I would say you were definitely harassed. Maybe not sexually, or at least it would be hard to make a legal case for that if she didn't say anything explicit, but clearly unwelcome and intimidating behavior. And not only that, but it apparently persisted despite you expressing discomfort. And repeated questions about if you're "still" married are inappropriate, as well as entering the men's bathroom. These could initially be considered socially inept, but again, you expressed discomfort and she d… | /r/MensRights | 22/03/13 02:58 AM
Infuriating.Ah...I wouldn't say that no man has ever blamed a woman for being assaulted because of how she was dressed. Granted, I've never heard it in person, but I've seen articles linked on this very reddit that essentially say "she was acting like a slut, how could she be surprised they treated her like one?" Not representative of the MRA or even this reddit, from what I've seen, but it exists. | /r/MensRights | 28/02/13 04:01 AM
