I don’t think it’s supply and demand. Because even park rangers saw a pay decrease as it became more female dominated. I could be wrong, but I can’t imagine park rangers being a very competitive career The article cites cases of wages RISING as more men enter a specific career that used to be female dominated. So, supply/demand can’t be the main factor here. This NYT article is pretty interesting https://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/20/upshot/as-women-take-over-a-male-dominated-field-the-pay-drops.ht…

There is a huge issue with caretaker type jobs (home health aids, teachers, nursing home workers, etc) getting paid so poorly though. So while you could just argue that people shouldn’t complain about their low paid profession and should change careers, the way that caretaker roles are compensated says a lot about our society. And there HAVE been studies showing that as women begin to enter a certain career, the average wage in that career goes down. https://www.epi.org/publication/womens-work-a…

That is showing the gender of the perpetrator and not the victim unless I'm missing something

This rally thing is in Canada, the National Crime Victimization Survey is conducted in the US so that may be why they don't know of it? I'm not sure

Having one stupid idea doesn't make you a stupid person. When she (the 'reporter') was talking about the unreported rape statistics, she tried to argue that no, rapes aren't under reported. They get statistics like 'only 10% of rapes are reported' or whatever by comparing rapes/crimes reported to authorities to the numbers they get conducting surveys such as the National Crime Victimization Survey (which is a random phone survey) but apparently she is too stupid to know that anonymous phone surv…

Being condescending does nothing to help your point. It's immature and unprofessional seeing as she's a wannabe 'reporter'.

What a condescending woman. Seriously. Her points aren't invalid but her attitude is disgusting.

I'm half Iranian and have been there multiple times. It is definitely a much more liberal country than the media makes it out to be, however it is still an Islamic Republic and the laws are definitely prejudiced against women

The gender lady (second to last one) doesn't understand the difference between sex and gender it seems. Sex is biological ,which is what she was spouting on about the whole time but calling it gender. Gender is what the people she was "interviewing "(berating) were talking about . They were arguing different things so it was a waste of everyone's time. Also, she must not be aware of any of the science that she was rambling on about since she never mentioned "intersex" as a "gender" even though i…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
