If you know what your special interests are, go to groups and meetings catered to those interests. For example, I like philosophy and philosophical discussions so I went on this app called MeetUp and looked for philosophy discussions in my area. I went to two philosophy meet ups where I was able to meet a bunch of cool and interesting people who shared my same passion for intellectual conversation.
