1	Title 9: My university cut men's baseball and soccer so spending on men and women's sports are equal Rowing is generally a late starting sport, so that doesn't seem out of line to me. I've seen athletes, both male and female begin rowing in college and work their way to the Olympics. It's the nature of the sport. I think the original thinking was that more money would be invested in women's sports in order to reach an equality, but in practice the opposite happened and male sports were cut to reach that equality.
