Rowing is generally a late starting sport, so that doesn't seem out of line to me. I've seen athletes, both male and female begin rowing in college and work their way to the Olympics. It's the nature of the sport. But I wholeheartedly agree with you on exempting football, being that it's the largest source of external income at most schools. Let football operate on an island.

The theory of Title IX was good.. give women an equal chance to participate in collegiate athletics and have an equal chance at a scholarship. I think the original thinking was that more money would be invested in women's sports in order to reach an equality, but in practice the opposite happened and male sports were cut to reach that equality. For women Title IX has been great, if they can deal with the animosity of males losing their sports. On the whole though it's my opinion that it has pret…

Anyone else notice that this FR provided little to no information, other than "I talked to this girl, I talked to that girl, blah blah, blah." Good on you man for pulling 6 numbers, but a field report is about sharing your techniques and what worked and what didn't. Someone reading this would gain literally nothing from it.

With all due respect.. isn't that the normal social reaction when someone smiles at you?? To smile back? I mean, great for you if you're super shy and we used to avoiding eye contact. Keep growing and getting there... slow and steady. But should we really be applauding this?
