why? I don’t know Thanks for your input. Very strong analysis. Gives me a lot to think about.

Jung invested a lot of time into studying the occult and alchemy but only for philosophical reasons. He showed interests in Gnosticism as well, but he had multiple children. He was not a practicing gnostic. I’ve heard this take many times, that Jungian is Luciferian or satanic in nature. In my opinion, it is just a misunderstanding. A lot of it stems from Jungian thought being dualistic with the self and the shadow, and the idea of experiencing over being just. There’s many overlaps in all philo…

Yeah, Peterson is a Jungian. I wanted to do Beauty and the Beast in this sub because it’s has more obvious archetypes and it’s one I see mentioned a lot out in the real world. I was inspired to write this after watching Peterson describe the archetypes in different Disney movies, so there’s probably a lot of the same themes he repeats. I have plans on doing more interpretation in this sub that Peterson hasn’t covered like the story of Pygmalion. Either way this has always been my approach to sex…

That’s a good interpretation of Gaston as well. Interpretations are all highly personalized so there is no right or wrong answer.

OP shows how the appeal of Beauty and the Beast to women reveals their subconscious desires which are often in conflict with their own understanding of themselves. Well put. I could not have said it better myself. Thank you.

It’s essentially a Jungian perspective on sexual strategy. If it breaks rules then I’ll let mods remove it

Which one is it then? You believe I’m being redundant or you believe I’m trying to rationalize my pseudo masculinity? Are you even able to articulate why you have such a quick, negative response to my post?

Try again but this time actually discredit my interpretation instead of tearing down your own straw man.

It’s because you have to have a decent understanding of Socratic philosophy to get a grasp on stoicism, considering stoicism really sprung out of Platonism and Neoplatonism. I see meditations mentioned everywhere on this subreddit but I think people read it only because the historical aspect of “it’s a Roman emperors journal!” And not because of the philosophy detailed in it. You should really start with The discourse of Epictetus or the enchiridion of Epictetus if you want an introduction to th…

Confused. You claim to be on a journey of “development” but this entire post is pure sophistry.

Had a coworker the other day telling me about his ex girlfriend. He was paying her rent at an apartment after she broke up with him until she could "get back on her feet" and he said something along the lines of "I'm glad to be giving back to her after she was so good to me in the relationship, I was so awful to her and now I'm giving back." It made me cringe so hard I really had no idea what to say.

Very confusing when you started comparing Elliot Rodger to spongebob because I thought you were talking about the cartoon character

Shes 100% correct. Male feminist are loosers who rep the feminist badge in hopes of getting them laid.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
