I don't think so. If they are in any way specialised, they are opposed to all abrahamic religions (Islam, Judaism, Christianity), but I think they generally don't believe in an eternal soul / otherworldly kernel of essence. I don't think an atheist could e.g. accept the notion of reincarnation or Gaia as a world-consciousness

Probably vocally opposed to all institutionalized religions, not only doesn't believe in a god (as in we don't know, but I don't think so) but claims with certainty that there can't be a god and considers anyone believing differently stupid?

That's life... Bad things happen. Try to replace irrational fear with valid concern by reading some statistics. I still think life is worth living, being born is a chance, if I don't like the game there are ways to quit. I'm happy that female pedophiles receive a bit more attention nowadays and victims aren't always marginalised/ridiculed/enveyed (as in "oh, hes a big boy, got lucky early", "all men want sex anyway", "I had a thing for my teacher as well" and similar bullshit stereotypes) anymor…

It's difficult for a dad to get custody of the kids. If he divorces her, chances are the kids will be the ones suffering in the first place.

I think the attacking of incels is a good insight into how society really works I think the attacks against incels are not actually targeted at people matching the strict definition "involuntary celibate", but at the typical incel subculture as described e.g. by wikipedia. E.g.: Discussions often revolve around the belief that men are owed sex; [Black pill] labeling women shallow, cruel creatures who will choose only the most attractive men if given the choice. I'm a proponent of equal rights an…

As u/Vast_Enemy explained, the abbreviation originally means "involuntary celibacy", which is in itself is rather sad than bad. However, the "incel" movement consists of guys convinced that they have a natural right for sex, up to the point to enforce this right if women deny it to them (aka a right to rape whomever they want), and also otherwise a quite toxic attitude towards women for denying them their "biological right".

? How is that asking for preferred treatment *as a woman*? Also, "So I'll come work too" sounds like she wants a chance to earn the money. Sounds fair enough?

No, she has to put her determination to it as well. And her mind, too. /scnr

I cordially disagree. I know a woman who got in a new relationship after being physically abused by the father of her kids during the first one. She does have a child with her new partner, and I would not think less of her if that relationship at some point fell apart as well. (BTW: She has a PHD and is financially independent.)

Bullshit. One of the fundamental things I and my sisters(!) learned from my parents and tought my kids is when someone attacks you verbally you can defend verbally, but never hit. It's absolutely nothing to do with gender.

You do understand the difference between joke and sarcasm though, do you?

I agree with your sentiment. In some cases I think the pussy-pass can be assumed even without the woman explicitly demanding it; a much smaller woman probably wouldn't hit a larger guy unless she expects a pussy-pass, and the woman in yesterday's post undressing after a failed job interview also made her intentions clear without saying anything. I mainly take offence here when excessive violence against much weaker attackers is celebrated (same in r/instantkarma). Self-defense is all good and we…

I understand his point. From my point of view, I probably wouldn't have married her under those conditions, since for me, marrying means planning together, trusting that both parties put in their best effort. Could be one stays at home for the kids or does more in the household, or just wasn't as lucky with the career, whatever, as long as both put their best effort, both should live on equal footings. Maybe there are some mitigating factors now which he didn't mention. Maybe she supported him e…

Only in this case the "drunk" part is almost irrelevant. She shoved his dick out a couple of times, he shoved it back in. If someone would do that to me, I'd consider it an assault. (Yes, I'm a hetero man. No, that doesn't make it entirely different. The moment a woman doesn't want to have a particular dick in her mouth, I expect it to be as disgusting for her as it would be for me.) The post said she "tried" to say stop and she "tried" to push the dick out, but if he had to shove it back in, I …

About "asking permission", I believe that consent can sometimes be given non-verbal, if both sides are careful, empathic and moving along slow enough (e.g. if the guy removes his pants while making out and gets out his dick he imo shows some consent for further sexual activity, if the woman reciprocates and removes her clothes, or bends down and starts sucking she also demonstrates some consent, even if no word was spoken. Actual penetration, with risk of pregnancy etc., should probably be clari…

That was my interpretation as well. Up to that point it was equal game, but that was a turning point. However, probably difficult to prove, so I'd probably advise against pressing charges, and if he was an acquaintance otherwise, I'd confront him one on one, tell him it was not ok, but not raise the legal aspect. (Unless he admits the incident and insists it was ok. In that case legal steps might be advisable. )

The only silver lining is that no one with that much unbridled hatred is living or will ever live a happy and fulfilling life or find meaningful connection with a member of the opposite sex. While you are not the least bit salty and radiate happiness... I don't like violence. Even in self-defence, violence should be restricted to what is needed. The posts you mentioned didn't see an upvote from me. But that doesn't invalidate the whole sub...

There are enough men around that would make me wish not to be a man, if I was prone to accept guilt by association. Enjoy being a good person (assuming that is what you are) and don't let it bother you that some people you share some arbitrary characteristics with are maybe not that awesome.

This sub is indeed something special. It is the very beginning of change in our society. That's a bit exaggerated. Feminism was also change. This sub is one of the signs that the pendulum starts to slow down and will swing back again. Hopefully it doesn't swing too far back, though. Feminism was good, it just went way over the top.

You are talking a lot about not doing anything wrong. That's not the topic. What do you do if a girl gets a crush on you and confronts you? If you reject her, she might invent accusations as revenge. If you don't reject her you are in trouble anyways. I cross my fingers you never find out 1st hand.

Offer taking a nicotine test. If you did admit smoking the first time, you should have some credibility. There should be co-workers who can confirm you stopped smoking. Maybe that helps...

Surprise: Women aren't soda-cans, and their main purpose in life is not being consumed by some jerk.

But you are wrong about the importance of virginity. The more men a woman has had the less satisfied and content she is in her marriage. Highly debatable. The more experience she has the better she knows her own body. She's able to explain better what she wants and what she doesn't like. Also sex loses some of its mysteries, lowering the desire to have other men. The same works the other way around. Don't get me wrong. I understand the appeal of innocence, being more unique for each other, explo…

There is small amount of men as women that fit the description (including the dick taking) Srsly, there are men and women like that. Not sure about equal amount, even if political correctness clearly dictates that position. There is still a higher percentage of men earning the family income, and doing that makes this kind of attitude more difficult to keep up. Also I think on average, men are probably into slightly different topics (cars, baseball players etc) However, we will reach that point e…

She's not speaking out against rape, she's attacking men. Ok, let's not mince words. She said men, not all men. Same as some misogynists will claim "women are moody", "women are weaker than men", etc. The misogynists are rightfully blamed for that. Why does every decent person get that generalizations are bad against women, but when it's against men it needs to be discussed? Wouldn't it be much better to attack misogynists, rapists and apologists? There are enough groups of scumbags, motivating …

Because she's not complaining about rapists, or a minority of men who do not condemn rape strong enough. She's claiming that men are not opposed to rape, as in all men, and as someone who is trying my best to be aware, help women in distress if needed, oppose jerks making fun of the topic etc. I find it personally fucking insulting to be told I'd be ok with rape. Verbally atacking all men indiscriminately is not a good way to build a better society.
