I really can't stand this new trend of articles that are talking about other articles. It seems to be, to me, an epitome of laziness. "We don't have any original content or anything to say on our own accord, so let's talk about something someone else wrote." I'd rather go read the original and get the full context, without some biased narrative from a click bait website.

To be fair, it's an article about another article. You could say, you're agreeing with the original author, Claire Fox, more than the Sun...

I think we need a "victory " tag for those. Just so they're easy to spot when we need a little justice joy.

The mother of my child left me when our daughter was 5 months old, took the house, and expected my to see my child every other Tuesday and on the weekends. She took the house and the money invested in it. I pulled out all the stops and managed to get a better custody deal, but not nearly as good as I could have. I retrospect, it became fairly obvious that she had used me for a child and expected me to roll over, pay support, and go away. As a side note, I got laid off several years ago and had t…

It's difficult to find a social conditioning that affects women negatively that doesn't also affect men. Things such as body image or gender role stereotype exist for men and women. As for how the interpretation has changed, it seems as though there is this culture of embracing the victimhood. We live in a 'rape culture', where 'male entitlement' is dominated by the 'patriarchy'. Even if the evidence supports the opposite.

As to your first point, I am referring to a singular book, Delusions of Gender. Now, it may have its problems, admittedly. That said, given the reliability with which one gender will score equally to the other when 'primed' with the idea that it should score well, I am willing to work with that. For instance, men primed with the idea that they are equally empathetic as women, will, in fact, score as well on said test. I'd have to refer to one that is an expert in these tests, but I think we can,…

Interestingly, men and women are equally empathetic. It's just the social conditioning that lends us to believe otherwise. Obversely, there are an equal number of women who are entirely devoid of empathy.

Good lord. That article made my head spin. There's really no way to even have a trio all discussion around that whole narrative.

If you have the time, check out the video. What fascinated me was how the unconscious 'power poses' affected one's hormonal levels. However, I absolutely admit I over analyze things. It just struck me as an interesting correlation.

One day, I hope you learn that love is not that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you date for the first 6 months. Making a decision to have a child is a commitment that should be greater than giving up when it's not super fun wow anymore.

As a father whose daughter's mother left him for the same reason, I think you did something very powerful. Parents often forget or don't think their children can see what's going on, but kids are smart little creatures. Thank you for both reminding me to always take the high road when dealing with my ex and for giving me hope that my daughter may see through her mother's nonsense. You did good. Even if was painful and difficult.

Canadian Mat leave is 12 months and can be shared between the parents. I am not sure if there is any difference for the military, but it doesn't seem likely. It's a paid leave, but not 100%. ~60, maybe... The US is grossly behind the times for paid maternity leave. It's hard to get bent out of shape for this until the US can come closer to 1st world norms.

I used to have a friend who would have "emergency rye" in the trunk of his car. Good times.
