Look at OP’s other posts and you can see she’s not playing with a full deck of cards. Just the rantings of an old, bitter, fat, lonely woman.

These types struggle hard because they’re 8’s physically, but they don’t realize that on the commitment/marriage market they’re more like a 4

In grad school, a ‘mean-girl’ that was almost 30yo was kicked out of another group and joined my group for a capstone project… I should’ve put my foot down harder and stopped it from going down. She completely ruined the dynamic of the group and made the project more difficult for everyone involved. A perfect example of subtraction by addition 😢

Having a FWB while feeling out some first dates I understand, but if you are interested enough in romantic dates 2 & 3 with a guy, you really should be shutting down the FWB operation. And 5 dates is way too far and a huge 🚩 in my humble opinion

Hahaha this sub…. Sometimes you can find some interesting debate, but if you are truly looking for representative responses do not look here—you’ll find a bunch of weird outliers.

Yep, just look at the tv shows that are popular in their demo

Yep, a very viable explanation for it here 👍🏼

I’ve never heard this analogy before, but in some ways it makes sense. Is America’s love affair with guns an abusive relationship? 😂

To be clear, my question is about this aspect of attraction in some women, and how it doesn’t seem to be in their favor. I think that the socially awkward men that claim this is somehow ‘unfair’ are pretty cringe in most respects. I’m not interested in what is fair or unfair, I just want to better understand “what is.”

Far be it from me to tell women who they should be attracted to. I’m just interested in the weird danger/violence thing, but I just saw a comment where it is summed up very well, so my curiousity has been sated

Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen this explained in such an honest and cogent way. Thank you, this should be the top comment

Sure, hang on right there. I’m going to look up something nonsensical to appease some knob on Reddit. I’m completely serious, don’t go anywhere!

Of course, it is a graduated scale. I’ll take “Other Obvious Things” for $200, Alex
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 09:04 PM

Nope. I don’t find anything illogical about the Constitution. Say what you will about the framers, those men were based is reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 09:03 PM

Never said that men were infallible in the way they chose partners. And though Gypsy Rose Blanchard may being interesting anecdotally, if you’re suggesting that this means there is equivalency between genders you are just being ignorant

Thanks for pointing out the self-evident. Also, there is a graduated scale of violence that different people are capable of that varies wildly—also a self-evident point. Any other obvious things about people we need to clarify here?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 07:46 PM

Yeah, the question clearly states why MANY women are attracted…. But it doesn’t seem that you are either 1) interested in a good faith discussion or 2)understanding the simple syntax of the post. Either way, begone, your comments are no longer welcome. Might I suggest a free reading comprehension course at Khan Academy?

Lol 😂 glad it works for you. Be careful out there!

Ahhh, now that is a good point. My perspective is assuming a typical, middle-class American sort of situation. In Johannesburg the arithmetic is going to be completely different.

Yeah, you’re totally right but that is a whole other topic in and of itself to discuss
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 07:15 PM

I mean, compared to some of the other butthurt comments out there, this one is actually trying discuss the point, which is appreciated. Guess I set the bar pretty low 😂

Yeah, this is a great example, I have never seen this movie before. Thanks for your input
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 07:11 PM
2

Yeah, I think this is the case a lot of the time. Sadly, I think many of these women are going to eventually fall victim to the partners that they sought out to ‘protect’ them. It really is an awful cycle.

Some interesting thoughts being shared here. You are clearly operating at a higher level of thought than most of the other commenters this post has attracted. Thank you.

Thank you for a well-reasoned comment. You have added to this discussion. Another shot of Midori, perhaps?

But what is more likely to happen—woman falls victim to random dude breaking into her house, or woman falls victim to the man with violent tendencies that also happens to sleep beside her every night? That little lesson in logic is free, the next will cost you 😉
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:58 PM

Jesus. While a lot of women are subconsciously drawn to violent men to a small extent, it seems like this particular girl you are mentioning is a sociopathic outlier
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:56 PM

Thank you. Genuinely thank you for a comment that actually adds to the discussion. Sad that we have to sift through a sea of “Not all women!” to find comments like yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:53 PM

Yes, that is certainly the ideal. But you will read police reports every day of women falling victim to violence because they selected a partner that fell short of that ideal.

What? 😂 This is so dense! Of course women are attracted to confident and attractive men!!! For god’s sake, what would be the point in a post that concedes “Women are attracted to attractive men”???? 🤣 The confounding thing I wanted to touch on were why (some, not all) women were attracted to men who were (among other traits) clearly dangerous and capable of violence? That is an interesting question.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:46 PM

You have the audacity to speak for ALL WOMEN?! Gasp! How dare you! Not every woman is the same donchaknow?!?! 😂 Begone, you’re not equipped for debate
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:35 PM
3

Many implies more than 3! 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:32 PM
1

Yeah, I suppose there are a few guys so dense they don’t realize that there are other factors at play than just the dangerous and violence, but how many really believe that? Of course an ugly basement troll isn’t going to attract women solely through being dangerous and violent!!! Does this even have to be pointed out?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:31 PM

Sorry, didn’t realize it was obligatory to point out “Not all women” and “everyone is different” — thought these concepts were so basic and self-evident that it wasn’t worth adding to the post. But here it is for the simpler folk in here: Not all women are like this! But enough are that this is a very common topic of discussion. There. Happy?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:26 PM

Well, we have had “Women are Wonderful” shoved down our throats since we were kids, so it takes time and intention to deprogram from that sort of thought. You do bring up a valid point, though, thanks for the input.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:21 PM

Fair point, it is a two-way street; nowhere in my post did I communicate that men are infallible or incapable of blunders in their choice of partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:17 PM
0

I agree, it is stupid and it isn’t deep or complicated, but I wonder if most people ever come to this realization.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:11 PM
2

Fair point. The answer might lie in the fact that so many women fall victim to partner violence that they might seek out gentler partners; but that is just logic speaking and attraction isn’t governed by logic
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 06:09 PM
3

Haha, sad that in a community meant for discussion I would have to start with a preamble about how, “no, not 100% of women are like this”; but here we are anyway. This post is not about you, even though you are so quick to try to make it so. Go feed your ego elsewhere.

For instance, when a woman meets a strong, dark-triad type guy and feels the “tingles” (whatever the hell that is supposed to mean) what they are actually feeling is fear—a recognition that this man would be completely capable of harming and dominating them. But along with that comes the recognition that if the man is by their side, all of that strength and capability of violence could be an extension of them. That is why they will say it is arousing when a man shows his willingness to stick up …

What an idiot. Wealthy people don’t keep their wealth in a bank account. If she were doing it right she would ask to see asset holdings like in a brokerage account. She thinks she’s smooth, but in the end she’s just smooth-brained.

In this argument, gay men would be lumped in the same group as women. I’m not saying this is a correct assessment, I’m just pointing out how this is viewed by the average straight man.

Another interesting point from this study that you gentlemen will enjoy is that women drivers received higher tips on average. Yes, even with higher tips, their total earnings were less than male drivers. So why do you think women earned higher tips? I’ll give you a hint—it’s not because they were more apt to get out and help with luggage.

Okay, story time: For context, this was about four years ago while I was an executive at a blue-chip tech firm (in Fortune's top 25). A co-worker that was roughly the same level as me had gone through a hellish divorce, but he was in his early forties, was good shape, and was a fairly good-looking man. He was enjoying his new-found freedom. He started flirting with a new manager in UX who was also recently divorced. She was in her late 20's, not fat; I'll be generous and call her a 7. I remember…

Precisely. I think what I find so bothersome about it is how disingenuous they are. They want money and status, but don't want to seem shallow or materialistic so the say what they're looking for in a man is ambition -- a character trait. Now they aren't being shallow, right? But wait, now we introduce them to the hypothetical man you mentioned above, who for all intents and purposes has proven to be a man that possesses genuine ambition... what happens? -- "Ummm, no. He won't be able to provide…

Good analogy. Women have feminism but as of yet there is not a socially accepted lobby for men. I think this is why they are so eager to silence any fledgling attempts by men to fight for our collective rights -- they realize that they would get their asses handed to them if they had to go head-to-head and fight with symmetrical warfare.

A few thoughts: 1) That girl had no respect for you; if you were trying to seduce this girl you were going about it the wrong way. 2) Don't use 'whom' unless you know how to use it correctly. 3) Thank god you saved 50% on your windshield wipers -- I was starting to think I was wasting my time reading your post. I'm glad I stuck it out for your triumphant finish. I'd say I learned a little about life, serendipitous discounts, and ultimately -- myself. Bravo good sir.

Two things: 1) Women project their desires for men upon themselves. They are attracted to men with wealth/status so the assume that they should portray that image as well. 2) They've been applying fake-up to their faces for years -- do you think they would have any qualms about adding the same sort of window dressing to their digital presence?
