The problem with treating a human like a dog is that humans aren't dogs. You are dehumanizing women by "training" them. And yes, it is a loaded statement, but it wasn't an inference. There have literally been posts here comparing how you should treat your gf like your dog (except dogs are loyal hurr durr). The methods that are advocated would work on a dog, because there is a clear master-pet relationship there, but to use those same things on a woman is borderline emotionally abusive.

It's not like he hugged her once and she filed a complaint. He had been following her around the con for several days, continuing to make remarks even after she asked him to stop. As others have said, neither the coach or the athlete is gendered. Also, if a coach is spending a significant amount of extra time with one player, that is kind of suspicious. She doesn't say that. At all. Her article is opposed to creep-shaming as a concept. Which, while it may be overused, was definitely a thing that was used correctly in her situation. Threatening more, in the abstract sense, yes. But there was no immediate danger to his person. He could have tried to stop her without hitting her. While I understand his fear, its not like she would definitely, 100% have gotten pregnant from it. I think it's fake. If she really wanted a baby, she would have done that after he was gone/where he couldn't see her/acted like a sane person and gotten a different boyfriend.

True. I think the "tell men not to rape" thing stemmed from people telling women to watch what they wear. Like, "Tell women not to dress slutty" vs "Tell men not to rape". Alternatively, could just be a (badly worded) way of promoting rape education, to prevent acquaintance or date rape... the grey areas where sometimes it's not entirely clear what went down.

He means that saying "Don't stick your dick in crazy" is another form of victim blaming... Though I think when people usually say that it's implied that the guy has some measure of control over the situation. Like, telling someone not to stick their dick in crazy is meaningless advice when they don't have a choice in the matter.

That's why it's a satire, and not a legit poster. It's not actually trying to convince rapists not to rape, it's trying to make the reader think about how current rape prevention advice isn't exactly the most helpful. Most rapes are done by someone close to the victim, so saying that they should use the buddy system when out at night isn't going to help them when they need it.
