The magnitude of the fight, actual severity of his injuries, her motivations, and his reason for deciding not to press charges are all factors we are sparsely informed about. For all we know she could have been defending herself or otherwise be justified, even if only somewhat, in her behavior. A grown woman's life is indeed more valuable than that of a fetus because she is sentient whereas a fetus is only potentially so.
