Humans are terrestrial animals, characterized by their erect posture and bipedal locomotion; high manual dexterity and heavy tool use compared to other animals; open-ended and complex language use compared to other animal communications; larger, more complex brains than other primates; and highly advanced and organized Excuse you? Can you read? Don't tell me to read when you don't understand the basics

Since when are we not animals, stop thinking so highly of yourself, just because we have higher cognitive abilities doesn’t mean we aren’t animals. Ffs chimps have advanced to the Stone Age and we’re here twiddling our fucking thumbs

Its the oldest profession, if both parties are willing its not my problem, but it should be done safe, and as close to risk free as possible for both sides

Everyone dies alone, you’re worried about the quality of your life as you get close to going. No one can ensure the place you end up will be good, with family they could start to resent you because you’re a strain on them, in a retirement home you could be abused, there is no way of knowing for sure you’ll have a good life except what you can do to make sure that you have layers of security when you are getting older

never ignore a problem, otherwise it grows bigger than it needed to be, maybe like issues with laws and gender

No its not, any raced based group i disavow, anyone forcing anything based solely on the colour of someone's skin is racist

As a man of simple rules it would have been over the second the man called me a liar.

Why you have to make it about race? Are you a racist who judges people based on the colour of their skin and not the content of their character?

As a bi guy. I see men as useful for me not to get trapped with child support if I ever make a horrible decision. On the other hand I would love a family, just the current climate doesn't work for that

Its not women's fault, its not men's fault, its our fault as humans that we've let it get to the point where the cure is a poison. We don't have the ability to change and set the laws, and even if we did it would do exactly what happened when feminism gained its power, it went too far as an overcorrection and a lot of people don't know how to fix it without swinging it full force back the other way. What happened to dating, simple the social contract stands, but one part doesn't want to hold up …

"The a happy life depends on the quality of your thoughts." Spend time getting to know you, and then spend time with the person you thought you knew, and be the one he relies on

Seneca is great, id suggest meditations first instead. Its practical and useful, and for your line of work the art of War. "You might fetter my leg, but Zeus himself cannot get the better of my free will" basically society is going to hold you back, but you're part of a community about going your own way, you make your path

91% of cases women get the children in English courts, and I'm unsure of current stats of other countries, but 9% is essentially margin of error in stats

The modern translation i feel actually does the work justice, since using the more simplistic language is better then the shakespearian style translation people tend to give to Latin because "oooh its fancy" and again he gives off the impression not of the main character of the world stage but of his own play. Plus it was more or less his personal journal, we don't write our journals with the expectation of someone thinking were using double speak when its our private thoughts. Its the same thin…

None of the old works where filled with the same fluffy bullshit that half of the "grandfathers of psychology" tried to pawn off as deeper than it really is. He basically says it in the start by telling you to burn your books if you think they make you smarter. Unlike his kid he didn't really have a thing of having to make himself seem bigger than reality, from what I get of his writing he was trying to write an operation manual about how you should interface with reality

"For a time, and some time thereafter choose to wear only the most coarse of clothes, eat the plainest of foods, and then ask yourself 'is this really what one used to dread?'" -dead roman guy again Basically, take the time to reflect on what you're feeling and why you feel that way, and accept what you find there, and then harmonize with yourself

The brain reacts, as it can only react to reality, because reality is external, its why we are afraid of things because external threats can hurt the mind but the mind alone cannot harm reality. Paraphrasing some dead roman guy
