I was just being technical lol. "Modern privileged women" dont even make up the majority of women on earth. Yeah, not all of them would immediately start cleaning the sewers or whatever but they would eventually stabilize. They are human beings after all, a rather adaptable bunch.
So off, young women have been sleeping with significantly older men forever. She might feel like she is in love or it is meant to be, and sometimes the adult claims the same. The problem is that young person is too young to make those decisions. It too easily seems like the older is taking advantage of the younger and that is usually the case. That is why most countries have laws trying to protect young people.
