I love how even on techcrunch, people aren't taking that bullshit and are calling the article for what it is. "Women spend more money than men? Women 'socialize' more than men?! What a revelation! Tell me more!"

I keep hearing 'women don't want to evilly lock a man down into paying for her baby!' so I wonder what will happen to that chorus if we start hearing a strong voice from the feminist lobby trying to counter this legislature.

Oooh... I don't know. I wish it had died, but I think we're far from it.

Real alpha males simply don't accept controlling or game playing from women. There are no "If you don't do this I wont have sex with you" style of games, because if you try it then the relationship is summarily terminated. I truly love this explanation. If more and more men actually follow these rules, and accept a mindset of abundance, I really believe the world would be a better place.

I think one thing I learned is this: don't argue with feminists. The arguing won't convince them, but it's lack will not stifle what we're trying to achieve. So ultimately there's just no point, unless your goal is to lose a few years off your life.

Neither condescension nor non sequiturs help your case.

Yea, /r/feminisms' policie are clearly 'anyone who even hints at disagreeing with us WILL get silenced.' Case in point: http://imgur.com/Mocdg All my comments were deleted immediately after the shot. Some serious hate speech going on there, innit?! sloppy moderation at best, malicious censorship at worst. Don't tell me where to discuss 'male studies' - just GTFO off my reddit.

You must be a genius to be able to draw conclusions out of thin air and put words into people's mouths that expediently. GTFO off my reddit. Seriously. I doubt you'll be censored by mods the way that any dissenters are in /r/feminisms, so I'll just ask - get the fuck off my reddit.

Phew, that was a close one - we almost had to admit that women need to take responsibility for their own actions! Thank goodness there was a man to put them blame on.

Ouch... I had no idea it was that bad in India as well. This really sucks, Kluna. I hope it gets better. It all starts with men growing a pair :)

They started deleting any dissenting comments so I thought I'd snap one.

Ah, my bad - yes I did take the screenshot, and yes I was downvoting, but that's what it's for, innit? I joined recently. If you can point me to the rules about up/downvoting I'll be happy to amend. As for the non-moderators, I should've taken a screenshot of those as well, then you'd see why I say this.

Dude I have no idea who was downvoting or what their political persuasions were. The point is that the arguments were cogent and civil. What happened there is abject censorship. When someone who wasn't part of the original discussion called them out on it they deleted the whole fucking thread. What preposterously dumb shits populate that subreddit.

I wonder if you could effectively bring that argument against someone who propones it. i.e. 'so you wouldn't mind having your child switched at birth in the hospital, randomly?'

There are factors at play, of course, but the short answer is yes. Problem is integrating into a whole new society. I've traveled more than anyone I know, almost, and I think people delude themselves into thinking 'yah, I could move to Italy without too many troubles.' It's a lot harder than you think. I have many ties in Eastern Europe and China, so those could potentially be options.

Well, to be honest, I was raised in a very traditional family. Happiness came from being together, and my father taught me and my sister the worth of carrying on our names. I'd love to have a family, and for a long time it's what I wanted the most. But it becomes harder and harder to find good, decent girls, to the poing where now I don't really have hope. As a more direct answer, no, I categorically do not want to marry and have kids in the current social environment.

Check this link: http://imgur.com/iqlQ2 No posts were abusive. The first angsty posts were put up by some of the members of that board and were sarcastic, unwarranted swipes like - and I'm not even kidding here: "I bet the asshats in /r/MensRights are having a field day with this" "Oh yeah, they're probably having a circlejerk now: 'the evil lying whoring wimmins!' etc.

Here is a part of my thread: http://imgur.com/iqlQ2 Note: out of everyone in that thread, my comments, as linked above, were the most 'hateful' and condescending ones. Let me know if you think they deserved censorship.

I was in that thread, many of the comments were posted by myself and FreddyDeus. The ladies came out swinging with 'if you support this bill that means you're calling all women lying manipulative whores,' and any retort to that, or pointing out of obvious facts, or attempt to return to the actual topic at hand was met with vitriol and ultimately censorship. Out of the 230-some comments that were posted - and I read them all - there was NO negativity from the men's end. No misogyny of any sort, j…

Regarding your first point - that sounds amazing. I'd love if that was possible here. I'm gonna look into the local laws more. Thanks for you insight.

Isn't there an implied parenthood law, kinda like common law from cohabitation? I.e. in Ontario, for example, if you live with someone for 2 years you are basically married in the eyes of the law. Not sure what that means for things like alimony, though. So if you're married and you're raising a kid that isn't your own, aren't you by default the father, and in case of divorce are you not liable for child support payments? I should probably be asking a lawyer.

Here's a point that was brought up time and time again despite rebuttals in r/feminisms: "This is a legislature that implies all women are lying, manipulative whores and is therefore sexist and is therefore wrong." I had my own retorts to this, but I'd like to hear some of yours as well. FreddyDeus I gotta say you spoke with a very succinct clarity on the subject so if you don't mind contributing I would really enjoy hearing your rebuttal.

I can't imagine a scenario where neither parent would want one. The only case is when the father knows that the child isn't his, and wants to raise it anyway, in which case nothing would change - his name would go on the birth certificate with his consent and he would be the father. Correct me if I'm wrong about any of the above; not familiar with Kansas or US law.

And no anti-abortion types descend on this comment, please! No need for the paranoia - so far every single comment in this thread has been supportive.

To be honest, I don't know - I'm not from the US, so I don't know what help is available to you. How much does an abortion in the states cost?

"It's discrimination when women are treated like lying whores" I'm told at /r/feminisms: http://www.reddit.com/r/feminisms/comments/fu9e8/the_kansas_paternity_testing_bill_presupposes/c1ipors Of course paternity testing should be outlawed - all people are such upstanding and moral creatures!

Honestly, good on you, man. I will say that learning some game will be of great benefit to you. Disclaimer: learning game doesn't mean you have to actually sleep around. Having the affections of a female is a great confidence-booster and will do great things for you.

There's this anger and bitterness amongst women in their 30s and up that they can't have their cake and eat it too. They're upset that the guys that found them attractive when they were younger won't commit, which is logical because why would a cad stay with an older woman when he can find something younger and hotter? The other side of the equation is the beta male, who is a reliable provider upon whom the onus of safekeeper of family values was traditionally applied. The thing is that if Nice …

Hah - touché... I'm often amazed how hard it is to get a logical, laid-out line of argumentation from a member of those factions. They seem to dance around what their central issue is ever so whimsically that yes, using reason is unfruitful.

oh yah of course, but this isn't something you can argue for (let alone prove) in modern society because you'll be shunned. I just think that while a balance is being struck from what I've been reading, the emergence of men's empowerment (personally loathe 'men's rights' as a term) groups, more information sharing, there remains a big void where the proper, traditional man used to belong. He's marginalized and vilified today, but he was the one that built civilization and everything that came wi…
