My college doesn't even HAVE a women's studies major because no one wants it.

Porn isn't the same as reality. Farting constantly during sex is only alluring to James Joyce, and he's been dead for nearly half a century. Also, I was on bed rest during my last month of pregnancy because I nearly had a stroke. Sex was definitely off the table. I definitely agree with your sentiments (I think?), but many times women are encouraged to not ask men out because a man who can't ask you out isn't man enough to take you out. I don't feel that way (and also I'm bisexual, so it's just …

I think a lot of people are frustrated by the sense of entitlement they see from men. That being said, I also experience this from women. I guess the issue with that is, are we being condescended to despite having far more experience with the issue, or are we being condescended to because of a false perception of our intellect? If the former, it's "mansplaining" and is probably going to happen forever. If the latter, it's just run-of-the-mill condescension, and should be handled differently.

By "Ignore" I mean "I give them a respectful distance and also don't identify as a Pastafarian." I do know what Pastafarians are. I just give them a respectful distance because I'm not a Pastafarian and I don't agree with them.

I can ignore as many obscure movements as I want. I ignore Pastafarians all the time. I ignore those assholes who advocate for child-fucking being legal. Why shouldn't I ignore some obscure movement that exists primarily on Reddit? I mean I don't primarily because I've been hurt by RP followers who took things really literally, but I could if I wanted to.

Alt-Right ideology is a thing in the real world, but no one sits around and talks about which brands of Alt-Right they are. It's not a gigantic circle-jerk where people talk about how Red Pill is X or Y, because most of us out there don't even know what it is. The fact that it's a movement isn't really important to this conversation, bro.

Probably all the "Women who do x thing that most women do should die" talk. Also, we have different ideals of hate, I'd expect.

I mean, I'd agree with that, to some extent. The only issue is, you wouldn't advise someone to wholesale abandon someone else with a sexual history that's incompatible with yours', right? It's just an issue of compatibility, much like I have difficulty dating men with large penises or men who practice a form of Christianity that doesn't allow witchcraft- it's not something you blame them for, it's just A Thing that you have to accept and move on from. I don't hate men with large penises. I don't…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 09:34 AM

That's fair. But MY POINT, which you seem to be missing entirely, is that you aren't demanding honesty or advocating for your peers to seek it out - you're stating that women who have had sex are wholesale not worth dating in a forum that you believe is for all men. Which is my problem. Maybe you, personally, are not as horrible as others, but the system you are inside does not allow for nuance. I'm sorry man, it just doesn't.

I think that many women are less eager to have kids than they once were because there's an extra expectation of providence for those kids. Now that women have the choice, they're choosing to have fewer kids that are being cared for much more effectively. This is a pretty effective survival mechanism for modern women. Children with good parents are more likely to survive, thrive, and reproduce themselves. Plus, please remember that overpopulation is a thing; it's a complicated issue, but women ha…

You are literally comparing a woman who's had sex with other men to a man who is literally addicted to smack. Do you not see the problem here? Is another man's dick so amazing that a woman would be apt to relapse into cheating on someone, potentially destroying that man's ability to love again, for the chance to have it inside her? Also, you're comparing a roommate situation to a situation that might, literally, dictate whether a woman gets to be happy. In this situation I think the more accurat…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 09:05 AM

No. I don't think that's at all. The problem isn't what YOU PERSONALLY think - it's what you advocate. Having a difference in sexual ideals is a pretty big compatibility issue. I don't blame you PERSONALLY for what you prefer. What I mind is the idea that these women are less worthy of love than other, more "virtuous" women. If you have your ideals, that's great, but keep them to yourself. They aren't my business or anyone else's.

The argument makes sense if you're capable of feeling deeper rejection from someone you formed an emotional connection with. Me, for instance. I would totally feel more rejected if my fiance left me tomorrow for a hotter woman than I did when I got rejected during my single days. Why? Because I love him. So, why in the world would I enter a relationship with a guy who's known to be unfaithful? I'm too insecure for that, and relationships are often where we experience the deepest, most horrible p…

See, I could do without the condescension. What I'm more saying is that the "dual mating strategy" is hotly debated in the field of psychology and that it's not a widely-accepted psychological paradigm yet. I agree that lots of women (myself included) have fantasies that diverge from their realistic behavior, but holy shit, believing that all women are out to cheat on betas with alphas is just... not realistic at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 07:11 AM
-1

And also: There's a difference between someone who's routinely dishonest in their dealings with other people (who employs the dual mating strategy) and someone who engages in honest casual sex with people while they're single. The term "slut" is often used to describe both groups, but the person who engages in honest casual sex isn't somehow going to become a cheater just because she wanted to learn how to have sex. The fact that you feel you can't measure up to a woman's prior partners is sad, …

Two reasons. 1.) Women fall for deadbeats because these deadbeats are invested in making them do so. The deadbeats have gotten very good at lying to women. Deadbeats don't give a shit if you, Somewhat Unattractive Autistic Dude, know they're deadbeats. They do, however, give a shit about Hot Club Girl knowing they're deadbeats. They want her invested before they start treating her like shit. They know she'll tolerate almost anything once she IS invested, and so they learn tricks to make her inve…

I personally approached my man. Also, I've overwhelmingly worked harder than him to keep the relationship alive. It's pretty hard to be sexually alluring while you're nine months pregnant for a number of reasons, and it's even harder to be present when your postpartum depression triggers latent agoraphobia.

I don't think it happens as much as you think it does. I've been with my fiance through some really hard times. I had a baby, we put the baby up for adoption, we were broke for a while (because I wasn't working due to pre-eclampsia), he was forced to go into fast food to help us make ends meet, and I wasn't able to have sex for the better part of a year without being in extreme, "Oh dear God you're tearing me in two" pain. "I love sluts - but I'd never marry one, because she OBVIOUSLY doesn't want love!" "I love sluts - but she probably wouldn't be a good mother!" You don't love sluts. You love what they do for you. If you loved sluts, you wouldn't attempt to deny them basic human things like love, compassion, and family.

Yeah, you're not RP. I just find it hard to respect RP when they don't practice what they preach. Like, if you care about the way men are negatively impacted by the patriarchy in society, maybe you shouldn't try to strengthen that patriarchy? Maybe you should make a society where men feel like they can report rapes? My criticism isn't about individual contributions. It's about the leaders of the movements and what they're doing (or aren't doing, I should say) to support their supposed causes. It…

Oh, and by the way, maybe the reason I'm focusing on women is because - and this may blow your mind - I'm not a man. I have no idea what men feel or want or need. I also focused on women's needs because relationships are supposed to satisfy both partners, not just the man, and everyone seems to be screaming "What about the men!?!?!?!" in this subreddit. Do you disagree? If so, why? Is it because women only exist as holes to fuck and maids to clean your house in your world? Even so, I did mention…

-If her "unique biological realities" change in such a way that she no longer wants to have sex with her boyfriend, and only he sees that as a problem Please note that I mentioned this in the reply you're responding to. Note that I mentioned that the woman does have to communicate, and that she has to be willing to do some hard things to ensure that her boyfriend/husband/wife/whatever gets what they need. If your girlfriend doesn't care about your needs, then she isn't a good girlfriend - it's as simple as that. The fact that I had a surgery that prevented my sexual activity isn't my fault. The fact that most "dead bedroom" situations involve bad communication isn't my fault either, and there are ways to talk t…

I'm not plus-sized, though I was plus-sized for about six months after I had my baby (which happens, as we know). Women who date women tend to be less averse to dating plus-sized women; in my experience they're just more fun to have sex with (seriously! those boobs! that ass! those LIPS!), and so are more attractive to me.

Woman 1: Probably a 6. She looks childish to me, and that just isn't my game - it creeps me out. If I knew she was over 20 I would probably make her a 9 (I'm really into cute girls), but I know she's actually 17 (I have a system). Woman 2: A 7. Conventionally attractive, has a sunny personality, looks very inviting. The only thing lowering her rating is the fact that she's probably making herself less attractive Woman 3: Speaking as a woman who dates women, this woman would probably be the one w…

Oh, and 4.) Those biological stressors, like having kids or menopause, are often temporary. I had a child a year ago, had a Dead Bedroom for about six months, thought I was a lesbian because I just wasn't interested in sex with men anymore for about a month, and am now having lots of fulfilling sex with the guy I love eight months later. Look it up. Childbirth and hormonal changes both fuck up a woman's ability to have pain-free sex. C-sections do that even more often. What did we do? We communi…

1.) If this is such a big issue, you can communicate with your girlfriend about it. Either that, or you can break up with your girlfriend and find someone whose biological needs match up with yours'. No one would blame you for that - at least, no one worth listening to - and honestly, it's kinder in the long run. 2.) If you do break up with your girlfriend and find out that there aren't a whole lot of women willing to date you, then maybe the problem isn't her, or isn't just her. 3.) Masturbatio…

I'm saying that estrogen fluctuations aren't in anyone's control, and that shaming women for a biological reality that you don't share is unethical. Your SO may or may not be like that, but shit happens that shifts a woman's hormonal levels that are usually not in her control. It has nothing to do with being attracted to a mate and everything to do with scientifically verified biological reality. I think sex crimes of all kinds are inexcusable, and our society's refusal to acknowledge this results in male rape victims being discredited. The thing is, I care about those victims. Does RP? Because they only bring it up to discredit feminism. If RP cares, they should do something about it instead of just using it as another weapon, because speaking as someone who advocates for these men, this behavior only serves to further isolate them. You either care about them and so should actually advo…

This isn't the way normal, sexually healthy people approach sex. In general, this suggests that the wife in question doesn't have an attentive husband. Or that her sex drive changed as she aged, which is normal, and which you can address. Sexual adventure can happen even if she's had other adventures.

Yes, I do. To be very simplistic, RHP centers social good and change. Typically, you'd find more secular spiritual folks who identify as RHP because they're logic oriented - i.e. the types who find cures for cancer or advance AI rather than the types who further Christian dogma. They prefer to rely on known constants rather than unknown variables. It isn't a matter of good and evil. It's just a difference in how your brain works. I don't think very many women would advocate for a man staying in a DB relationship unless the DB was caused by a medical or trust issue. For instance, if you cheated before DB, you kind of deserve what you got. What woman wants to get herpes from a guy who has proven he can't be trusted? r/actuallesbians told me it wasn't fair for me to stay with my boyfriend after figuring out I was gay and actively encouraged me to leave him in a compassionate manner; I'd assume many in that sub are feminists…

I think the issue is that RP is being presented as advocacy and life improvement rather than venting. It's surprising to read something thinking "I will finally figure out a way to make men's lives better!" And then come to the conclusion that these particular men have nothing to say on the topic. That's what brought me here - I was interested in the RP argument, and now I'm just really... baffled that anyone can believe this. Concerned for the state of society, too.

Sometimes - most of the time - that anger in the SJW sphere is justified. Where is the justified anger in RP? It would be one thing if they said "I'm angry because women tend to reject me," but they punch down a lot on a ton of people - lesbians (who by definition aren't for them), single mothers, fat people, and tons of other groups who have likely never harmed them - because they want everyone to hurt like they do. And it sucks.

Actually, hetero relationships still have the highest breakup rate, and the study that showed that lesbians have a significantly higher breakup rate didn't account for cultural norms, like uhauling and "marrying young," that are particularly common in lesbian marriages. Lesbian marriages that begin with healthy boundaries and don't jump into marriage too soon have similar divorce rates as similar hetero and gay relationships.

If you're talking about Aisha, tradition states that Muhammad married Aisha in an attempt to protect her after the death of her father - in other words, the same reason why Edgar Allan Poe married his 13-year-old cousin. They likely didn't consummate their relationship until she was 12 or 13, which would have been on the far side of normal (Mary Mother of Jesus was likely around Aisha's age, in other words).

I feel that RP is predatory. It preys on lonely young men who aren't being validated by society and don't know where they fit. RP followers don't treat women well, and they attempt to emulate things like emotional maturity and caring about one's appearance for the sake of luring young women into bed with them.
