I mostly call folks"asshole" if they're being an asshole (or say something like "you're acting like an asshole"). In my experience folks are less likely to shut down dialectically if you don't insult them as a person. Like I would say "that's a really dumb idea" instead of "you're really dumb". It's a fine distinction, but it matters.

Well, I try not to insult anyone, only their thoughts or ideas or actions. Does that make sense?

I try to avoid using any kind of gendered insult. "Bitch", "cunt", "dick", "prick", "pussy", "man up", etc. @animaggus started out on the right track, "cunt" is defs a gendered insult, but then she hit a stupid wall and tried to claim "dick" isn't also a gendered insult.

So, how is it not fucked up to "engineer" neediness and dependency?

I know it's not unique. Part of what I'm after is a description from men who've "swallowed the pill" the sorts of qualities they see as being necessary for "alpha" or "beta" descriptors.

I'm trying to learn more about TRP.

Out of simple curiosity, what goals would an LTR impede?

Doesn't TRP theory emphasize sex, though? I mean, it's right there in the sidebar: "sexual strategy".

What do you mean by "polarize yourself"?
/r/TheRedPill02/07/14 10:11 PM

Why is it the end-game? That seems to imply that everything else is just sort of a build-up to sex, rather than rewarding experiences of their own.

Every female friend I've ever had has been the complete opposite of your experience. They're kind, relate to the issues I've gone through / am going through, are loyal, have helped me out of jams (including picking me up at 3 am when my car broke down in the middle of nowhere). A lot of them have similar interests with me as well, and where we don't overlap I appreciate their differing perspective, as I do with my male friends. None of my friends (male or female) have the exact same set of inter…

That's odd, my female friends take up way less of my time than my male friends. My original question was in regards to romantic interactions with women.

Why do women make poor platonic friends?

Oh man that's so wierd. You, a traditional masculine dude, found a girl who is into traditional masculine dudes! That must mean that all women secretly just love being abused.

Because he uses words like "cheating" and "mistress" he knows he's violated some spoken or implicit agreement between him and his wife that they would be exclusive partners. This means he knows or assumes that this knowledge would upset his wife. Ipso facto he's intentionally causing harm to his wife.

What does her weight have to do with anything? She sounds like an asshole, though. And it sure does suck that the bouncer was so quick to take her side.

Pretty fucked-up that you're cheating on your wife. I hope she does something similarly emotionally-devastating to you.

Have you thought about the fact that this is more of a commentary on how much media loves sensationalist stories about attractive females? I'm not sure how "feminism" is to blame...
/r/TheRedPill30/06/14 12:51 PM

Have you thought about the fact that he was manipulating her? By giving her attention in the hopes of romantic reciprocity without ever making his intentions clear he was trying to get something out of her, too.

So you're agreeing that the dude has zero culpability?

What? I said minimum income, not minimum wage, and we already have minimum wage laws, so... Also, neither minimum wage nor minimum income has anything to do with communism.

I was asking questions. If he (guy in OP's story) didn't make his intentions clear, never specifically asked her out under romantic pretenses, or in any way discuss his desire to be more than friends he absolutely cannot in any way claim no culpability in his situation.

Did he ever make his intentions clear? Did he ever explicitly ask her out under romantic pretense or discuss his desire to be more than friends with her?

That's fair. To be honest I agree with you to an extent. Clearly labor should be rewarded. I think you may agree though that the current allocation of resources to labor / production is somewhat skewed. Does a CEO of a multi-national corporation really produce a thousand times as much as or do a thousand times as much labor as a migrant fruit picker? His position may facilitate vast quantities of production but to assume that he as a person is worth being paid 1000 times as much as a line-level …

There is no "friend zone", only rejection and people who try to rationalize the rejection as the female being the "bitch".
/r/TheRedPill29/06/14 09:03 PM

That's some elitist bullshit, right there, I tell you what. Also the idea that they produce more for society is absurd. If it wasn't for the fruit-pickers and mcdonald's workers how would they eat?

lolololol That you think I argue for the sympathy of women only is absurd, and seems to add further credence to the idea that you argue from a place of privilege. I seek the destruction of systematic inequality. And our current society has much of that. I think this subreddit's idea of a "bluepiller" is pretty interesting. I think it's also interesting that you and other people on this subreddit seem to have such black-and-white views of relationships, and seem to tie power up so much into relat…

I'm not saying that couples with kids should get free diapers. I'm trying to challenge the seemingly prevalent notion on /r/trp that having kids and getting a divorce is like a free meal ticket or something. I implied that child support payments are not always high enough to cover child-rearing costs. You're right that I don't have any statistics for this. I can tell you that I have worked in a child support recovery office and have seen the numbers on dozens of cases. This is anecdotal evidence…

/r/TheRedPill28/06/14 07:57 PM

Wait, so, hypothetically, a woman who decides to divorce her husband and seek custody for her children should not expect her children's father to financially support those children if she can't do so herself?

But women do have access to contraceptives in civilized world. Define access. If you mean that most women have the freedom to purchase contraceptives, yes, you are correct. If you mean that all women can easily obtain contraceptives you may be mistaken. This is plain silly. Job is not a thing one has a right to, but is essentially something that is perfectly optional. Those who work for pay must work before they are paid. If they cannot work, then they should not receive pay. Now you're getting …

Yeah, working at McDonald's and picking fruit by hand are like the easiest fucking jobs in the world. That's why they pay so little.

You seem to believe in some mythical society in which child support is always paid and always high enough to cover child-rearing expenses. See my other comments regarding women's income declining after divorce.
/r/TheRedPill28/06/14 06:47 PM
1

Right. Women who work the same jobs as men tend to earn about the same (at least in the Western world). The problem, of course, is that Women end up in jobs that don't pay as well, have to take part-time jobs in order to fulfill domestic duties, etc.
/r/TheRedPill28/06/14 06:41 PM

Shouldn't women have the freedom to choose whether they'd like to be a mother or a miner? Or both?

My bad. Here's another reference to a study https://www.oppenheimerfunds.com/articles/article_10-29-09-111649.jsp and another study http://www.census.gov/sipp/workpapr/wp156.pdf The first shows women's income can drop by 27% after divorce, the second that family income can drop by 37% after divorce. Thank you for the condescending apple analogy. Your commitment to being an asshole should be lauded. So your question is do I agree with the idea of alimony? Not really, but then again I don't agree …

This is some fucked-up shit, man. If anyone here actually buys any of this shit they should do women a favor and stop interacting with them.

That seems like a fucked-up way of looking at a romantic relationship, but, to each their own. Yes, I'm looking for an equal, regardless of what sort of partnership I'm seeking.

So what you're saying is that you want to be in a relationship with "a fun subordinate to toy with"? Is that all a potential partner is to you?
/r/TheRedPill26/06/14 04:49 PM

That's not a very healthy way to look at things. You shouldn't set your mindset up such that everything everyone does is antagonistic.

Is she just happening to mention her ex in conversation, or is she directly and explicitly comparing you to her ex? If she just happens to mention her ex then it's just a casual mention. If she's directly comparing you she's either still hung up on her ex on some level higher than she maybe should be, or she's playing games. The latter seems the least likely to me, and should be grounds for not continuing things if it's really bad. Her being hung up on her ex may or may not be a problem.
