True true. Most of my high N friends in real life ended up with equally high N men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 10:19 PM

High N or bad pickers then, although these often overlap
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 08:46 PM

It’s pretty obvious a lot of FDS users are high N women who couldn’t get the men they were hooking up with
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 08:11 PM

If I cut my hair short again I'll probably dye it purple or blue. But unnatural colors are a bitch to maintain on anything longer than shoulder length not to mention the bleach damages the eff out of your hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 05:36 PM

This is why if I have sons I'm going to get them into lifting early and tell them not to settle down before 30. You can never get your 20s back, especially the college days. Although I'd probably tell my daughters the same thing.

Yep I love the way my husband smells naturally. Nothing better than huffing his chest when we’re cuddling. One of our cats also loves the smell of armpits but that ones just a weirdo.

For sure. The world runs on the labor class.

My best friend and I are also from totally different classes. I grew up borderline middle/upper middle with two parents and now I’m solidly upper middle. She grew up super poor with a single mom and now is solidly middle class. But I do agree with OP that when it comes to LTRs/marriages people on average date within their class, and this is backed up by data on income and education in marriages. However I think this has more to do with proximity than any actively choosing to exclude people.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/21 01:10 AM

Ah as a class signifier yeah I'd call it middle class

Olive Garden is actually a great example because it can range anywhere from "amazing" to "garbage food" depending on who you're talking to
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/21 11:59 PM
3

Isn't that because there are fewer high earning women than men though? Unless there is a trend of higher earning men preferring lower earning women, I don't think that changes the OP that assortive mating by class/income is common EDIT: Also if I'm reading that chart correctly the majority of male doctors still marry female doctors. The thickest line is doctor - doctor marriages. So it seems like the other commenter's personal experience is true.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/21 08:28 PM

I never said jacked guys can't get laid. I'm saying that unless they're in the top tier of attractiveness they still need to approach women.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 11:16 PM

I think men that have good bodies AND extremely attractive faces can get away with being autismo. But that's like the top 1% of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 10:19 PM

I mean I've met muscular guys irl that were still awkward. Now if the guy is REALLY attractive (like top 1 - 5%) I can see how personality wouldn't matter. But I think for the bulk of fit men who sit at just "above average" being a weirdo can definitely kill their game. Also remember women care about facial attractiveness just as much as if not more than bodies.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 10:07 PM

Yes. Have you ever browsed /fit/
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 08:14 PM

It is what it is
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 05:54 PM

Becoming muscular means you'll get more IOIs from women but you will still have to make the first move. Women are biologically and socially discentivized from approaching men. And when they do approach they are often significantly less attractive then the guy. Tbh I think a lot of dudes here are salty that going to the gym won't make up for being a social retard.

Oh yeah I can definitely see the privacy issues. If I was a dude I would absolutely not give some random dating company any legal documents just to get pussy lol.

I got a Garmin vivosmart 4 a few days ago and I like it so far. The small form factor is nice although touch screen is kind of annoying to use. Heart rate monitoring seems to be fairly accurate (it puts my resting at 60 BPM which is around what I usually get in lab tests and at the doctor).

The average guy isn't an incel. Only 30% of men haven't had sex within the past year and the number of men who've never had sex is even lower. The vast majority of people end up in LTRs at some point in their lives. I think you're the one who has a very warped view of reality here.

I work in tech. If the average introverted nerdy software engineer can get a gf, I have a very hard time believing the "majority" of guys aren't getting into relationships without hard data to support it.

2015 And I have a hard time believing that. I know guys that graduated more recently and most of them had gfs in college.

Casual sex or relationship sex? I agree only a small percent of men are having casual sex. Mostly extroverted men who are going to parties, although you'll have the occasional weird nerds who all hook up with each other. Ime the majority of women weren't having casual sex either though. However nearly every guy (and girl) has relationship sex by the time they graduate undergrad. I majored in computer science and even the nerdiest guys in my classes had a gf at some point during college. You'd ha…

About $3.50 About $3.50 Education -- bachelor's degree or higher. Don't care that much about income I have a house in the city, two cats and a dog. Living the millenial dream. My engagement ring is probably the most expensive thing I own. I also spend a lot of money on my hair and skin if that counts as fancy? Not particularly. I prefer cheap hostel level traveling over staying in expensive hotels

Lolno. I work in tech and the my male coworkers who do well with women also did well with them in college. At the very least they had gfs, even if they weren't having casual sex. The socially inept nerds who couldn't even get into a relationship while they were young rarely become anything more than betabuxx. Also RP is for normal guys with normal dating lives who either want to get higher caliber women or get better at obtaining casual sex. It's not for complete weirdo virgins who can't even ge…

No. Men have an easier time getting girlfriends/wives as they get older. They won't see any increase in casual sex unless they work to increase their SMV, and that can be done at any age. The guys who are 30 and fucking college coeds were already players in their early 20s. They idea that some boring nerd is going to start slaying because they got older is a fantasy.

During the work week the SAHP should do all of the housework but the working parent should help with some of the child care. I.e. may s/he does the bedtime routine while their SAHP relaxes for a bit. On weekends everything should be split 50/50.** From what I've heard the real issue with being a stay at home parent is you can often end up being "oncall" for house duties 24/7, whereas the working parent will get time off every evening, Saturdays and Sundays. So it's less about who does what perce…

If you were too boring in college to have sex that isn't going to change when you get older. Men get more action in their late 20s/30s because they grow into being good providers not because of an increase in raw sexual attraction.

No he's not ugly, it's unconventionally attract. That's... literally what I'm saying. He has an objectively ugly face (giant nose, too big lips, close together eyes) but makes up for it with his voice, frame and charisma. "Unconventionally attractive" = someone with a mix of both ugly and hot features
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 08:41 PM
7

Ehh that's not really how people evaluate attractiveness. Like someone who has all perfect features but a ginormous nose would likely be considered unattractive, even if objectively they have 6 good things and only 1 bad one
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 06:54 PM
3

How does my comment not answer the question? I'm saying guys that aren't conventionally attractive but either a) are overall "masculine" or b) cater to a specific niche can get laid regularly.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 06:53 PM

Not necessarily. Kind of a cliche but Adam Driver is objectively facially unattractive yet has women swooning over him due to his frame

First of all no, abusive relationships are not common. Second no one is saying it's morally right for the man either. But unless the woman is in some extreme situation where she fears for her life or would be homeless if she left, there is nothing stopping most women from leaving. Once again women are not children and this weird need to infantilize adults is how so many women grow up never learning to be assertive. Just go look at all the r/relationships or r/AITA posts of women complaining abou…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 06:42 PM
4

I disagree. Women aren't children. They have the autonomy to leave relationships where they aren't satisfied. While men who take advantage of their partner's kindness are assholes, the women aren't helpless victims either. Now if the guy is physically or emotionally abusive that's different, but the majority of people aren't in abusive relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 06:19 PM

I guess I don't see how that relates to my original comment? If some women are giving wifey benefits to their bfs when they don't even have an engagement ring that's on them to grow a spine. But to me building a life together /= acting like a wife when you're just a gf.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 06:00 PM

I think men who are facially ugly but masculine in other ways (tall, broad shouldered, assertive personality) can certainly get laid. I also think men who fit a specific niche can also get laid. For example the emo/scene/alt kids in my high school were some of the most sexually active even though in a wider societal context some of these guys would be seen as soyboys. I don't think men who are neither masculine nor fit a particular niche are getting laid though. I.e. a 5'3" balding fat guy isn't…

Lol I made 2x more than him and he did (and still does) most of the housework. Why would you have to sacrifice your income to live with someone? That might happen when you have kids together if you do most of the childcare, but having kids out of wedlock in the US is for poors and dumbs. I think you're projecting here. By "building a life together" I mean we were already planning things in the far future (where we want to live, how many kids, financial goals, etc). These are perfectly normal thi…

Long term unmarried cohabitation is fairly new among Americans, and even there it's mostly the working class that does this (marriage rates are highest among wealthy + educated people). Maybe in 20 - 30 years when Gen Z are middle aged this will change but right now there is a totally different social attitude afforded to married couples.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/21 05:41 PM
19

When my husband and I got married absolutely nothing changed in our day to day lives. Sure from an American society POV our relationship was taken more seriously than when we were just cohabitating. But even prior to signing legal documents we were already building a life together. Those documents just made certain things like medical decisions, inheritance, taxes etc easier. You frame it as opt in vs opt out, but I would never have gotten married if I didn't see it as a lifetime commitment to b…

By taller I mean taller than average i.e. 5'6" - 5'9"ish. Not taller than the man. And I have definitely heard some tall (6'+) men say they don't like dating average height or short women because the height makes things awkward. However I will concede men's height preferences (if any) aren't as strong as women's. Also the study I found was actually among men in Malaysia so disregard that.

All white men or just UMC/UC white men? I can totally see wealthy white men preferring a tall, thin blonde even if that means smaller tits. But I always got the impression working class white men love tig ol' bitties. There was actually a survey related to this that I saw a whole ago, let me see if I can find it

Asses were pretty popular among white people during multiple points in history as well. Calling it a "black people" thing is a very narrow, modern take and ignores the fact that body type preferences tend to be cyclical.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/21 06:35 PM

Yeah I agree. You can tell what's a universal vs cultural/personal standard by whether it ties back to a marker of good health and fertility imo. For example the preference for youth is universal because obviously young people have an easier time making healthy babies.

Peoples beauty standards are generally going to be a mix of biology and culture. For example nearly all** men are biologically attracted to youth, clear skin and a 0.7 WHR. But examples of culturally influenced attraction would be ass vs tits. Big boobs were the popular thing in the 80s and that's what you'll find most guys in that grew up in that era attracted. Around the mid/late 2000s that started shifting towards ass, and you'll probably find far more millenial ass men than boob men. Another…

Dr Fauci is still a doctor. His status would not have skyrocketed if he was some random schlub talking about COVID. Being famous /= having status. No one thinks it's impressive to have 2m Twitter followers.

Ok? The tech version of that is to make your own startup and sell it. Same money, same % of people who are able to make it that far. You haven't actually shown there's any difference in pay or the number of people who are able to achieve that level of pay between the two professions.

Not to mention the real finance superstars these days go into fintech or quant. Traditional investment banking is a boomer job.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/21 11:53 PM

This is literally the same for tech. A senior engineer salary at FAANG or a unicorn startup is the mid upper 6 figures and you can reach that level in 3 - 5 years. Superstars sideline into management and end up making 7 figures in their 30s. And no one from a B school in banking is making millions in their youth.

I have no idea how anything you said invalidates the existence of types. When people say "my type" they mean a set of physical or personality characteristics they are most attracted to. For some people this preference is very strong and they're rarely attracted to those outside of it. For others it's more of a nice to have. And sure there are some people who have no type but I'd say this is pretty rare. Also for people with really strong type preferences the downsides of a person who fits their …

Tech is also pretty stratified based on location. In the big tech cities (SF, Seattle, NYC) it is definitely mostly people from at least MC if not UMC backgrounds. For reference jobs in these areas pay six figures + stock straight out of undergrad. Me and my friend group were all quite MC Ye this is pretty common. My friends from my childhood are mostly MC since I also grew up MC but many of the people I met as an adult are UMC.

I think her husband is pretty much her match in terms of looks, personality and lifestyle. They're both the definition of average white American (well, maybe not quite as fat as the average). Sure. But most people in STEM come from families where going to college is the norm, which puts them at least at middle class. Big tech today is pretty much dominated by kids from wealthy backgrounds. For example a lot of my younger coworkers have parents who worked (or still work) at Microsoft/Amazon/Google. You also have to consider there are some STEM degrees (such as medicine) where you have to focus almost all your time on the degree. That might be possible for someone who is being supporte…

It can also keep you out of bad relationships. If your friends are generally good people and they all think your partner sucks then they probably suck. And I'm not necessarily talking about abusive relationships. Also the FSM is one of the reasons women tend to be happier single. If you have a tight knit group of friends the need for a partner matters significantly less. Of course it's all dependent on what the makeup of your local FSM is.

In infancy to early toddler years the child could primarily stay and one house and your spouse can come back and forth to help And most of the time this would end with the mother doing the the bulk of the childcare You also haven't addressed my point about the financial feasibility of paying for two full separate houses. Maybe if both people are independently wealthy this could work but not for the average couple.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/21 06:45 PM

You can't pass a baby back and forth like a dog. Have you ever taking care of a young child?? The burden of childcare in this setup would just end up falling heavily on the woman. Not to mention the expense of having double the nurseries/kids rooms is completely pointless.

I don't think the linked post was a male vs female thing but rather a child vs adult and their respective autonomy thing. A lot of people don't see children as individuals who have their own thoughts, feelings and boundaries. Think about how often children are forced to interact with a relative even if they're uncomfortable with the interaction. Most people would not chastise an ADULT woman for being uncomfortable with hugging a man she did not know well. But a lot of people have blinders on whe…

How common is men who earn more but expect equal splitting of bills? I'm not sure how statistically common it is in the wider world, but if you browse AITA or any of the relationship it is extremely common for women to complain about their bfs/husbands expecting 50/50 financial splits without pulling their weight domestically. Granted those subs don't represent the overall state of relationships since people in healthy marriages aren't going to post about their problems on Reddit. If it is commo…

I was saying that men who are unsuccessful with dating/sex who complain about women having options should consider glowing up, rather than blaming women for being picky. I think the reason men are unsuccessful with dating are too varied for this sort of one size fits all advice. It's entirely possible for a guy to physically "glow up" but will not get a gf if he's socially awkward or doesn't have an friends or watches too much porn or any number of other issues. Also as other people have pointed…

The majority of men I went on dates with did put effort into their appearance. They had nice haircuts, dressed well, hit the gym, had clear skin and showered regularly. If you're saying men would have an easier time dating if they started doing Patrick Batemen level skincare routines that's completely B.S. The above list is all men need in terms of physical investment to get women. Beyond that it's more about their personality/game/ability to close. If you're saying you don't see many men doing …

Women don't care how other men rank the men they are dating. If she's sexually and emotionally attracted to her bf that's more than enough. Whether or not you (or other men) think he's a soyboy is irrelevant.

This is the crux of it. It ultimately doesn't matter if men care about education/career or if they're only marrying the women they are in proximity to. It still doesn't change the fact that educated women with with white collar jobs are the most likely to get married. Terps can whine about career women all the want but that's not going to change the statistical data showing they have the highest rates of marriage.

Actors are not equivalent to doctors, lawyers, investment bankers etc which is what women mean when they say "HVM". And the world of UMC educated career people is completely different from Hollywood. I currently have and had several 6 figure mentors in my time and most of them are with women who have no job. Once again no job =/ Walmart greeter. It is extremely common among UMC women to go to college, work for a few years, then quit in their late 20s/early 30s when they start having kids. Also "…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/21 03:54 PM

Nope. The majority of STEM/business women are married to STEM/busness men. Also you realize the person you're replying to is already married right? And nurses and teachers still require 4 year degrees. Thus invalidating OP's claim that HVM "don't care" about education or having a job.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/21 03:54 PM
17

Hollywood isn't real life. Do you actually know any HVM? Because I work with Stanford/MIT educated, 7 figure salary men and none of them are married to Walmart greeters. Even the ones with SAHWs married women who were college educated and had white collar jobs before they started having kids. This idea that rich, educated men don't care about a woman's education or class always comes from guys who have zero irl experience with rich, educated men.

Trusting someone /= not having any boundaries. I trust my husband not to fuck other women but that doesn't mean I'd be cool with him a sharing a hotel room with one of his female friends. Not having exes as friends is another boundary I have. However, most girls I've been with don't keep contact with me when they're with someone and then try to rekindle things (friendship wise) after they break up and it's so annoying. Fat people are concentrated in flyover states. Go to any major coastal city and it's not hard to find slim women in their 20s and 30s. I pretty rarely see overweight people my age in Seattle. /r/PurplePillDebate10/02/21 06:49 PM

Hmm I'm not sure if it's recent. I've never needed the same level of post sex intimacy with a casual partner as I have with a serious one. With a serious partner I like kissing, cuddling, falling asleep in his arms. With a casual partner as long as he sticks around a bit to chat I'm fine. That being said I never let casual partners do anything more than vanilla sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/21 04:57 PM

Isn't aftercare just a normal part of sex? My husband and I share post-sex intimacy regardless of having completely vanilla sex or tied up choking rough sex. I suppose the only difference is with BDSM it would be required of casual partners as well.

Ye I get the analogy is about how women are hypergamous and have a hard time lowering their standards once they experience a better value. But I think the story would make more sense if the 5th floor was "these men have everything you could want in a husband except [minor flaw]" and then the woman decided to go see what's on the 6th floor anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/21 04:34 PM
2

This analogy never made any sense to me. If you're told at the beginning that each floor increases in value then of course you're going to assume the sixth floor has the highest value husbands. I would assume the sixth floor would be "men who have jobs, are drop dead gorgeous, good with kids, help with houswork, have a romantic streak AND give you mind blowing orgasms every time you have sex". And I agree with the the other commenter the store layout is also affects this.

I always assumed this take was to counter the take that women who are successful in their careers are maneating dominatrixes in their love life. A lot women will adopt an assertive, masculine persona at work or towards stranger as a defense mechanism while being perfectly sweet with their husbands, male friends and family. I agree what fetishes a person has doesn't necessarily say anything about their personality.

I feel like I worded that wrong I'm thinking it's more like...you are fucking guy A. But you're still meeting with and going in dates with other men. Then on one of these dates you meet guy B, have wild sex with him, and promptly dump guy A the next morning because you now want to start seeing guy B. So you're not having sex with multiple guys at the same time, but I can't call this situation sexually exclusive either.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/21 02:14 AM
2

Well you don't have to be fucking multiple people at the same time. It's more like...I'm in an FWB situation with guy A, but I'm still meeting and going on dates with other guys. And maybe on one of these dates I meet guy B who I'm super into, sleep with him that night, and the next morning text guy A that I'm ending our FWB arrangement so I can start seeing guy B. I can't call the above situation "exclusive" because there's nothing stopping me from sleeping with other men. But it's not the same…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/21 02:11 AM

Not an exclusive or long term one. I've had an FWB before but I made it clear I'd still be dating other guys on the side and it only lasted a few months. Agree with the other comment that girl sounds like she's kidding herself.

ye I think you replied to my first comment before I made edits. I don't think having multi step routines makes men less attractive but it's probably not going to make him more attractive either. It's more of a no op for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/21 10:16 PM
1

Would you be less attracted to your man if he only used one moisturizer though? My point is the base requirement for men is a lot lower. I don't think most women care that much about their guys routine as long as he looks put together. Whereas with women even something as simple as having long hair (which is what most guys prefer) takes way more maintenance.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/21 10:03 PM
7

No. Women want a guy who does the basics of hygiene + personal grooming. They don't want a guy with a 9 step skincare routine who regularly gets facials like a woman would. It's fine if a guy wants to do that but it's not going to make him more attractive to most women. At best it's a neutral. Granted there is a range of what is considered "hygiene + personal grooming".

You seem to be the one out of touch of what "upper class" actually is. Thinking you can reach upper class just by having a good job is a purely American mindset and the reason why the rich keep fucking over the working class of this country.

Lmfaooo that's not what upper class is. If you have to work to live and retire with an affluent lifestyle than you are not upper class. $300k is the start of the UMC. Just because it's way more than most Americans make does not make it upper class. It's pretty much impossible to be upper class unless you start a successful business or are born into it. Depends on where she lives. If you live in a state with a heartbeat law you might not know you're pregnant until it's too late to legally get an abortion. A woman with a good job can use her money to just fly somewhere else and get the abortion. A poor women may not have the means. Also less educated women are also more likely to be religious and therefore morally opposed to an abortion.

Yeah some doctors and finance people can be living middle class lives. Your job title alone doesn't determine your class. And no it's not a meaningless term. I went to frat parties pretty regularly as an underclassman in college but during my junior & senior years I dropped that for smaller house parties where I knew everyone. Was never particularly into the clubbing scene although I'd go occasionally if someone else invited me. As a late 20s working adult I only do small house parties with groups of no more than 10. Yes it's easier to get casual sex when everyone is hammered and/or high No regrets. Glad I had a pretty normie college/early 20s experi…

Yeah no shit. A highly educated women is more likely to: be a sex positive feminist marry later, therefore have more partners before marriage have more opportunities for casual dating in college It's not that poor women are more promiscuous it's that they are more likely to suffer the consequences of sex. Highly educated women are more informed about birth control, and even if an accident happens they have an easier time getting an abortion. Poor, uneducated women are more likely to become singl…

Even with OLD it still depends on the app. My husband and I met on Tinder and our first "date" was going to an arcade, drinking, and fucking afterwards. It was the online equivalent of meeting a guy at a bar. It's baffling to me that women use "hook up apps" to go on actual dates. Back In My Day there was a clear distinction between swipe apps where it's pretty much implied you're there to fuck, and "formal dating" websites like OkC or Match.

Like I said there's a difference in attitude befween someone who grew up wealthy and someone who grew up middle class but made it as an adult
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/21 04:35 AM
5

Sure but my original comment was addressing OP's post. Basically men born to wealthy families care about class/education/having a white collar job but not about the nitty gritty of how much their partner makes.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/21 04:33 AM
32

In my experience you are wrong. Men who GREW UP in wealthy families 100% care about their partners background. They would definitely draw a distinction between Yale and UCT I'd guess the majority of men on PPD grew up middle or working class and don't really understand this. Even if you're making six figures as an adult, you probably don't have the same mindset as a guy who, say, went to a private high school and had his college paid for by his parents.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/21 11:33 PM
53

This. Men don't care about her income but they do care about her appearing to be of equal class. A woman who went to an Ivy League school and makes $40k/yr working at a non profit would be better UMC/UC marriage material than a woman who went to a state school but makes $80k in working in tech. I also suspect the men who say they "don't care" about education or career grew up middle or working class and still have that mentality (even if they might be UMC as adults).

I think prenups are reasonable to anyone who is bringing appreciable assets to a relationship. It just so happens most of them time that's the man.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/21 05:57 PM
3

So are you going to put on your prenup that any assets you guys after marriage including a house you both live in, cars you both use, etc are yours only? Because no one in their right mind would agree to something like that. You might as well not get married in that case.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/21 04:59 PM
3

Once again, won't protect your income. And unless you're dating a literal homeless woman she's likely going to have her own car(s) and/or other assets herself. I'm not ideologically against prenups, my husband and I have one. But it seems pointless to me if you're not bringing a lot of wealth to the relationship. You're paying several thousands to divide your assets in the same way they would have been without a prenup.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/21 04:42 PM
4

You can predict future income. The average middle class worker is very unlikely to have a sudden windfall of money Prenups are primarily about protecting WEALTH not INCOME. As an actual lawyer pointed out, they won't save you from not paying alimony or child support. They also won't completely protect wealth you made while married (why do you think Mackenzie Bezos got such a huge payout?). However they are useful for people who are independently wealthy or have a lot of assets before they got ma…

If your goal is to just stay a teacher the rest of your life then... yeah it's still worth it to get a prenup because of how western courts strongly favor women. How? A guy making $50k/year doesn't have any wealth to protect. What's his wife going to take, his 15yr old Toyota lol? And from what I understand most courts ignore prenups when it comes to child support and alimony. Prenups make sense if you're like...a tech worker with millions in stock in your company. I do not think men's friendships are less profound. However do think this: Men build friendships through shared experiences and hardship Is why a lot of adult men have a hard time with friendships. The men who don't maintain consistent contact with their buddies from college/the army/whatever often end up lonely. Anyway I wasn't making a value judgement on men's vs women's friendship. More just making on observation as to why men in general suffer more from loneliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/21 12:12 AM

Yeah I definitely agree men aren't doing it intentionally. I think a lot of men just don't think about it until they are single and out of school, which is when keeping up with your friends/family becomes most important.

Err I'm not the commenter you originally replied to. I never asserted all men were hermits. And I know extroverted men exist, I went to a college with a huge party and Greek life scene. But over the long term women are just better at maintaining close relationships then men are. Nah even normie men are like that. They aren't as bad as shut in Reddit nerds, but they still don't keep up with their interpersonal relationships as well as most women. Part of it is because men aren't socialized to do that since they probably grew up with the women in their lives (mothers, gfs, etc) taking care of much of that for them.

It's not "women" it's "FDS women". As someone pointed out below the sub tends to attract low RMV women who constantly attract shitty men. So from that perspective a highly defensive strategy makes sense. There are no fuckboys who spend money on dates. I personally do not care about dinner dates. My husband and I met over beer and pinball.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/21 08:21 PM
9

Isn't there supposed to be an FDS questions megathread? Anyway it's because FDS is a defensive dating strategy. If a guy spends $5 on coffee he may be into you or he may just want to bang and go. If a guy spends $100 on a nice dinner you know he's into you. It's the same reason they advise waiting for sex. FDS is meant to greatly minimize risk for women. They don't care whether it's good for men.

Does this actually have to do with who women chose to have babies with, or was it that the majority of males died young back then thus leaving only a few who could procreate? I'd guess it was more the latter.

Most US states don't recognize common law marriage. I suppose if you're in another country it would be different. I agree with you that in the modern day both people in a relationship should work. What I'm saying is in the few instances where one person is a SAHP, it's actually more beneficial to the working partner to not be married. It is however a very bad deal for the one staying at home.

I've made 2 - 3x my husband for like 3 years now and have yet to lose sexual attraction to him. He also picks up most of the domestic slack. This sounds like hamstering from lazy men to be quite honest. EDIT: I actually don't think you're wrong about masculinity. But I think you're placing too much importance on being the breadwinner when there are other ways for men to be masculine.

In my personal opinion, anyone (male or female) who fully financially supports a “domestic engineer” they aren’t married to is certifiably insane Actually this is smart. If they were married she would owe him alimony if they divorced. But since they're unmarried if they ever broke up she could walk away without oweing him a dime. I'd say it's far more insane to marry someone if that person doesn't work.

Money is irrelevant in casual dating. Class somewhat matters, in the sense that having the wrong class cues can turn off a woman. And also your class will change who you interact with socially. But no one's asking the incomes of their ONS / FWBs. It matters in relationships as most women want to date men making similar incomes or more. Man that's a huge topic that I'm not going to get into in a single comment. Maybe the mods would let us have a single "Race & Dating" megathread like we do with other topics?

I don't really see it tbh. They're both white with blonde hair and blue eyes but they have totally different facial features.

I agree but I also get why the mods don't want to spend a bunch of time policing those discussions lol

I do think couples often dress similarly but that makes sense since your clothes say a lot about your class, personality, and sometimes political leanings. And I agree most people date the same race. I don't think that makes them look like they're related though.

The got married to men they hated because they had no other choice. Why do you think the divorce rate had a huge spike right after no fault divorces were allowed? I'm taking about getting married to a man you actually like, not married for the sake of marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/21 05:54 AM
1

I didn't say no plans for a family. I said you can get married and have children later. Most people I know had kids 2 - 3 yrs after marriage. You can also propose to someone but have an extended engagement if she wants to wait until you can afford a big wedding. I'm just saying most couples I know who got married were at least talking about it by their late 20s. And the ones who are happily married didn't have to nag their husbands to propose.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/21 01:03 AM

Man I don't give a shit about Valentine's day and never have. The only things my H and I celebrate are our birthdays and anniversary. I think we must be in very different social circles.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/21 12:53 AM

The issue is moreso being submissive to someone who hasn't given you lifetime commitment. Being submissive to your husband/fiance is different than being that way to a boyfriend.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/21 12:10 AM

Having an education and career is less about attracting a guy and more having some financial padding to fall back on in case the relationship doesn't work out. Also not being dependent on a guy for money allows women to be more discerning.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/21 11:22 PM
2

While I don't agree with submitting to your husband, I understand why a more traditional couple would do it. Submitting to a guy you're just dating before he's even proposed is pointless.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/21 11:18 PM
2

Not really. Both of us are college educated, live in a American major city (Seattle) and make six figure salaries. Our timeline was pretty normal among our social group. I also don't see why you need money to get married--just do a courthouse wedding and don't have kids until later. And my experience was the opposite--the couples I know that didn't get married or engaged by their 30s broke up. I also have a hard time believing someone who had to pester their SO to marry them is actually in a hea…

I don't think the people saying that are the same people telling women to be submissive
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/21 08:26 PM

Then how do women become wives? Getting a career and education so they are financially independent and don't have to depend on a guy Not staying with men who won't commit (or don't have a plan to commit) by their late 20s Not having children out of wedlock from where do they get that info? Their mothers, sisters and female friends in successful marriages

You don't think RPW and tradcon women exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/21 08:09 PM

It has nothing to do with the age you got together. A "forever girlfriend" is someone who sits around waiting for their bf to propose because she's too scared to assert herself, then eventually gets dumped. My husband and I met at 23/24, married at 27/28 and won't have kids before our 30s. So not much different than the people you knew. But I made it clear as we were heading towards our late 20s it was time to "shit or get off the pot". If he had said he was still unsure about marriage or didn't…

Lmao stop watching Fox News. The city didn't get "mutineed". No one gave a fuck about CHOP except for the hippies and homeless people that hung out there. Once again it was two blocks, not any significant portion of Seattle. Several of my coworkers lived just down the street from it and regularly passed through with no issues. There were far more issues from all the police tear gas seeping into people's apartments. And quite frankly I'm glad the racist POS cops got kicked out of the east precinc…

The demographic of the women you're talking to can also affect it. I'm personally not into the preppy look so the t shirt vs the button down would do nothing for me. But for some women that can make a difference.

We have always had protests leading up to an inauguration never has something of this caliber happened. Trump fed conspiracy theorists for months and refused to cede the election even when every legal mean to contest it was thrown out. He even threw his own VP under the bus. Claiming his actions didn't directly lead to what happened is disingenuous at best and pure ignorance at worst. You don't need to take my word for it, fairly certain all if his speeches and rallies are recorded.

Somewhat. Clothes are basically markers of class. A guy can be tall and handsome but if he's wearing disheveled, ratty clothes I'll subconsciously assume he's poor/uneducated/possibly homeless and it will lower his desirability for me**. However anything beyond clean, well fitting clothes isn't going significantly boost a guy's desirability. But isn't OP romanticizing the DINK lifestyle? There's plenty of childfree couples in toxic relationships. Kids aren't the only reason people stay together.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 07:05 PM

You could easily argue that two people who aren't willing to take the risk that kids bring to a relationship don't truly love each other (Note that I don't believe this. Just pointing out flaws in OP's logic)

On a societal level men are definitely expected to be the pursuers in relationships and passive will on average be sexual and romantic losers Personally I have no problem initiating things with the men I've dated
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 06:13 PM
6

Yeah I was an awkward fuck in high school with no girl game. I would never have dated my bf at the time if he didn't approach me first My husband and I met online, although I guess matching on Tinder is the virtual version of an IOI 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 05:37 PM
30

No as other people pointed out IOIs are super vague, and some women aren't even good at giving them. I think it's perfectly fine for men to approach any woman that catches their interest. I don't even mind being cold approached as long as the guy is polite. The only benefit of waiting for an IOI is that you're less likely to be rejected.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 04:17 AM

Tbf I agree this is a troll post since I can't imagine anyone smart enough to have a $900k net worth in their 20s would spend "thousands" a year on Plan B
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 03:31 AM
2

I'm assuming OP doesn't live in an area like that if he's having trouble finding women at that income tho
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 03:03 AM
3

The only women who will be close to your income and net worth are doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. And women who are in these fields and attractive and have good personalities are extremely high in demand. So unless you have a lot more to offer than your money you're going to have a hard time finding all your requirements for a gf.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 02:37 AM
5

I really don't think you can build chemistry. I mean maybe a very small percent of demi- or asexual people can, but not the vast majority. As they say you can't negotiate attraction. The way I think about it is the first couple of months of a relationship are the "honeymoon period". If you're not excited about someone then, you definitely aren't going to be in the long term.

Nope

Idk where I threw jokes. I pretty much said the same thing as the other commenter. Fit women are in the upper teens for BF The average woman is fat ( > 25% BF) Being under 10 - 11 % starts getting pretty dangerous for women
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 01:34 AM

Based on your posts I feel like your preferences aren't really the norm though? I think on average women care more about status than what got him there

My dude you can literally google this. It's ok to admit you're wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 01:16 AM

9% is near death for a woman. We lose our periods at 11%. Female athletes and body builders have fat at 15% to 18%, regular young fit women in the low 20s, and "average" (i.e. chubby) women at 25% to 30%. You need to pick up a biology book.

Yeah it usually means he was peer pressure to commit and will bail as soon as he meets a woman he actually wants
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/21 12:04 AM

Nah every man I dated knew within a few dates if he wanted to long term commit. That doesn't guarantee you'll get married, obviously red flags or dealbreakers may come up later. But if a guy isn't a "fuck yes" from the get go it's unlikely he'll ever change his mind.

LTR's based on sex exclusivity (no one want to be cheated) limited time shared, reduced co-habitation, no shared debt, no shared expenses but shared feeling and emotional support. Could something like this work? Many millennials already have this setup. In fact the stats on "single moms" are misleading as women who are unmarried but living with their baby daddys would be considered "single", even though that's obviously a totally different dynamic than a woman who is totally alone. I'd guess in …

I guess it's supposed to be really intense or obsessive infatuation? I've never heard anyone use it outside Reddit
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/21 12:11 AM
5

Maybe. UMC money isn't enough to set you for life but not having any debt when you graduate can lead to a fairly comfortable lifestyle even if your salary is middle class. And in any case they aren poor when they're coming into college. As other people have pointed out it's not that rich people have less ex they just suffer fewer consequences.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 11:51 PM

Limerance = infatuation not love Or dicknotyzed / pussytyzed if you will.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 11:43 PM

Were they STEM or nah? No that's my point. There's no correlation between coming from a UMC family and going into a science/math major. I knew UMC kids across the spectrum of majors. And yes I'm talking about frat/sorority levels when I say partying.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 11:41 PM
2

big vagina lolwut. Is this a real stereotype
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 11:34 PM

Ehh that hasn't been my experience. My friends and I grew up solidly UMC (parents in the low mid six figure salaries) and they ranged from total nerds to party animals.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 11:32 PM
23

Yeah I went to a rich kid school but also knew a few scholarship students. Anecdotally there wasn't a huge difference in promiscuity between these groups. The kids from wealthy families were just less likely to face consequences of their actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 10:50 PM
10

UMC people aren't all nerds. I went to a rich kid school and there were plenty of kids out partying and hooking up all the time. If anything coming from a wealthy family means there's fewer consequences for casual sex since you always have your parents money to fall back on.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 10:47 PM
3

It doesn't change my point either way
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 09:18 PM
6

Ok let me rephrase: there are plenty of UMC women who fuck alpha men but don't face the consequence of being a single mother. Therefore eliminating welfare isn't going to have any effect on the hypergamy of these women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 09:12 PM
2

Ye I was agreeing with you
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 08:55 PM
17

No. There are plenty of UMC women who fuck shitty men but never have to face the consequences of their choices because they have better access to birth control an abortions. Or if they do have the kid, they can get mommy and daddy to help pay for it. Removing welfare benefits would a) only affect the poorest women and b) just make it worse for children while having no effect on the SMP.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 08:54 PM

Any time the same circumstance happens to you over and over again--and other people aren't regularly running into it--you have to take a long hard look at how YOU are acting. "If you smell shit everywhere look at the bottom of your shoe".

I'm already married to a tall, wealthy, attractive man. Only delusional people are the incels on this forum thinking their problem is "aMerIcan SociEty" not themselves.

lolno. They can go to poor countries and get wives who are with them for green cards. They can't sexually attract women in other countries if they can't do the same in the US. Also dating pools vary wildly depending on where in the US you are. Where I live and among my social group men earning six figures are a dime a dozen. That's actually not a very high standard to have here. There's also plenty of places in the US where the average height is taller than the nationwide average.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 06:42 PM
3

Common sense isn't something people are born with though. It's an amalgamation of things you've observed and subconsciously analyzed as you grew up. There's definitely some men who are just naturally oblivious and never develop this common sense. But I would guess there's a greater portion where it's due to the lack of socialization with strong older male figures in their lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 05:56 PM
8

I learned from my older bro/cousin and other men I saw who were sexually successful. I think a lot of men don't have these role models, which is the problem. I wonder if there's a correlation between being an only child and sexlessness in men. (Interestingly, I just realized all the men I've dated grew up with older brothers)

Once again emotional manipulation /= rape We're going in circles so I'm going to stop responding
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 12:02 AM

I said multiple comments ago if there is an actual physical threat it's rape. Lern2read. Emotional blackmail is not a physical threat. There's nothing stopping you from ignoring them except your own lack of spine.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/21 12:00 AM
1

Which is why I also mentioned you need stricter boundaries with opposite sex relationships. The meme you're talking about makes the assumption that the "guy you don't have to worry about" is being treated in a suspicious way (i.e. she's prioritizing him over you, she regularly invites him over when you're not there, etc).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 11:53 PM
5

No. I said enthusiastic consent can make sex pleasurable. But sex doesn't need to be pleasurable for it to be consensual. By your definition if I consented to sex but the guy sucked at it and didn't make me orgasm, he would be raping me. Which, quite frankly, is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 11:51 PM

Love the part where you didn't answer my question. Alrighty then
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 11:31 PM

I'm 28 and married. And that's a weirdly boomer mentality of friendships.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 11:30 PM
5

What does pleasure or lack thereof have to do with being raped. You know you can be raped and have an orgasm right? Idk why you keep bringing up all these scenarios that are completely irrelevant to the definition of "sex without consent".
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 11:21 PM
5

Nah. Enthusiastic consent is about making it pleasurable for both parties and avoiding moral gray areas. But consent is consent regardless of how enthusiastic it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 10:57 PM
5

I wouldn't have sex with you if you threatened to kill yourself. I'd call the suicide hotline. And even if I did agree to have sex it would not be rape. Are you an emotionally manipulative asshole? Yes. Are you raping me? No, because I still consented.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 10:24 PM
3

Lol no. Having pity sex with someone isn't rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 10:19 PM
3

It's emotional blackmail. It's not rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 10:15 PM
6

Neither of those are rape. Second one is sexual harassment. You seem to be the one who doesn't understand what rape is.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 10:12 PM
5

Well if you're talking about from the male side I agree with Smurf below they should get enthusiastic consent. Ultimately both men and women need to learn how to handle their shit better. Men need to take no as no and women need to be able to assert their boundaries. But OP can't change how the men she meets will act so my advice to her will focus on what she can control.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 08:42 PM

Men aren't making you do anything. You're not a child.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 08:35 PM

Are men actually being dishonest or is it your perception? For example another commenter pointed out it's pretty obvious when men take you home they are expecting PIV sex. Maybe the first time this happened you were young and didn't know. But after it happens multiple times, one would expect you'd learn not to take their words at face value. And this isn't just a sex thing. Learning when to be discerning and skeptical is important for life in general. Tbh it sounds like you have some severe sexu…

Man I can't believe I'm saying this but you might benefit from reading the FDS sidebar. You seem wildly naive for your age.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 06:20 PM
13

If I felt a guy was dangerous I wouldn't progress to the point where I was forced to choose between sleeping with him or experiencing violence. It's also one thing if this happened once or twice. I can sympathize with a young woman who hasn't learned how to vet properly being put in an unwanted situation. But as other people have pointed out if this is happening to you on a regular basis it's more likely something is off about how you pick men than a society wide issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 06:08 PM
17

I'm not really sure what you're getting at here. If you give consent when there's nothing physically preventing you from leaving, then how you feel about the act afterwards is irrelevant. I've also never had a guy be pushy after I started to get up to leave. Most men aren't sexual predators. If you're regularly encountering men who are preventing you from leaving your picker may be broken.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 05:54 PM
4

That's probably true. I wonder if Gen Alpha will be different.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 05:40 PM
20

I'm saying that if you consented--and there was no physical threat or danger of violence--then it's not rape. Framing regret as rape is irresponsible. Some people go their whole lives not learning how to be assertive Once again that's their problem. Blaming society for their personal issues is dumb.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 05:31 PM
63

If you're 35 and still haven't learned how to be assertive that's a you problem. There are have been multiple instances where I went to a guys house, was making out with him on the couch/bed/whatever, then changed my mind about hooking up and left. Unless a guy is literally physically preventing you from leaving you have no excuse. I don't understand women who refuse to take personal responsibility for their own actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 05:26 PM
1

Ah no. For the case where someone only has same sex friends I'll defer to what this comment says. Ime healthy couples are also friends. So I wouldn't want to date a guy who can't be friends with women. Also assuming you won't share any hobbies or mutual interests with someone of the opposite gender is a very boomer way of thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 05:18 PM
1

Yes and? I think having friends of only one sex is weird I was specifically addressing opposite sex friends in that comment because that's what OP is asking about Reasons being my anecdotal data
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 05:09 PM
2

No actually. I would expect a well rounded individual to have both men and women in their social circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 03:54 PM
3

Not really. I'm in a male dominated profession and still have female friends. Coworkers /= friends
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 03:53 PM
6

It's what I've observed anecdotally. I haven't seen any examples yet that contradict me. I also feel like it's just intrinsically odd to not get along with the gender you identify with.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 07:16 AM
12

Because it means they're either a) keeping around a bunch of orbiters / potential hookups b) have some mental / emotional issues. people who can't find ANY friends from their own gender always have something wrong with them Or a combination of the above
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 05:50 AM
8

I feel like we're midway to that stage. I still try to keep up with my younger unmarried friends but it's harder to relate to them. One of my girlfriends told me the other day she's moving to Panama with her bf to build an island house. Meanwhile the most exciting thing in my life is getting a great quote on new flooring 😆😭
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 04:11 AM
12

I'm married and almost 28. My friend group is half/half married and unmarried people though. I somewhat agree with you. I expect as we get older (and especially once we have kids) our opposite gender friends will drop off or we'll only see them in the context of group hangouts. But I don't think our social circle has quite reached that stage yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/21 03:57 AM
37

Yes I have plenty of male friends and my SO has plenty of female friends. I wouldn't date someone who ONLY has friends of the opposite gender though (imo that's kind of a red flag). I also think when you're in a relationship you have to keep stricter boundaries. For example I only hang out with my male friends in public spaces and the vast majority of the time as part of a group. I don't invite them other to my place for a 1:1 hang out (or vice versa). Even though there have never been any feeli…

The thing you're missing is women who do all this ARE LVWs. Even if they didn't put a bunch of barriers in their profiles they would not be getting what/who they want. So from a cost/benefit ratio it's better for them to be single but screen out fuckboys than to date the men they could feasibly date. Water finds its level. Actual high value people rarely have issues meeting each other.

I'd say being delusional about your SMV falls under mentalcel
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 09:22 PM

Nah ER was decently attractive and could have easily played up the "half asian prettyboy" thing. He was the definition of a mentalcel.

I'm not shitting on you for making a post lol. I'm just pointing out if you didn't understand that "going out" meant "going to social activities" you're probably more introverted than you think you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 08:43 PM
5

Ok? Still doesn't change my point that most people who are not extreme introverts understand "going outside" doesn't LITERALLY mean "walking outside my house"
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 08:27 PM
3

Hasn't been my experience at all. Most my friends married the same type of people they were casually dating. You realize it's extremely common for LTRs to start as hookups right?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 08:23 PM
3

They also do not have issues with "leftover" women or massive sluts as statistics show a) most women are serial monogamists and b) most people meet their spouses in their mid 20s
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:55 PM
3

It's relevant to this comment thread because normal men with normal teenage and early 20s relationship experience don't have dating pools full of single moms
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:48 PM
7

I doubt the majority of men in relationships have even heard of TRP beyond what the media reports.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:45 PM
6

Most people understand what going out means lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:44 PM

Every stat out there shows a lifetime average partner count of 6. If you're one of those "wahmen lie they all do gangbangs!!" people there's no point in debating with you
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:44 PM
7

I mean...if you think going to work/school/the gym is what people mean by "going out", I think it's fair to say you're introverted.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:35 PM
3

The average age of marriage is 28 and the most common age difference between couples is 2 yrs or less. If we assume most people date for 3 - 4 years before marriage, that means men and women are meeting their future spouses in their early to mid 20s. This is far before any of the issues you listed would happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:31 PM
6

Nah, it's just a small subset of late bloomers. Or people who never left their small town. I know like...one couple that fits the AF/BB trope. And young single mothers are non-existent among urban professionals.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:16 PM
3

I don't know. That's why I don't understand OP's question. Does he think married BP guys would suddenly start leaving their wives en masse if they read The Rational Male?

Men who don't waste their teens and 20s arguing gender politics on Reddit
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 07:10 PM
9

IRL leftovers, single mothers, CC riders incapable of pair bonding, damage goods are all avoided for LTR You realize this is proving his point right? Normal men already know not to date these women. The majority of men I know either a) met their future spouses in their 20s (well before any of the above was an issue) or b) decided early on that they didn't want to get married. TRP is advice for late bloomers who had no dating/social life when they were young.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 06:50 PM
3

I've interacted with people in completely random places too. But OP is clearly not an extrovert if he's asking this question, so I think it would make more sense for him to focus on gatherings where it's expected you talk to people (i.e. a meetup)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 06:14 PM

Are you a gymbro or do you enjoy fitness activities outside of that? You can join a local mixed gender sports team or a hiking club or something to that effect
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 06:00 PM
9

Yeah but you can't ask out people in a classroom. I "met" one of my exes in freshman year math class but he asked me out at a party. If we had never interacted outside the classroom I doubt we would have dated.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/21 05:33 PM

By "going outside" we mean going to mixed gender social gatherings. Too many men's lives consist of work/school -> gym -> video games/tv/some other introvert activity -> sleep.

We all know that men have much lower thresholds for sexual arousal so it's not surprising that they find a variety of women attractive. What's more interesting is if there is a correlation between certain characteristics of a woman and how often men seek relationships with her.

Well as the other poster said it does depend on where you live. Iirc the median salary in SF is $100k so making six figures would actually be a pretty low standard for men there. But if you live in like...rural Georgia, it's much harder. And I couldn't help but think that, in some parts of the US, that's literally every man Yeah pretty much every guy I went out with when I was dating after college made six figures and had a full head of hair. Height was more of a bell curve but even then there a…

I think it's obvious a decent number of the reds come from working class backgrounds. As someone who grew up in a neighborhood where my parents $200k salary was considered on the "poor" end, I don't relate to 90% of the shit they talk about or claim is common in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/21 05:28 AM

I wonder if East Asian cultures also just have a faster turnaround for dating => marriage? For example my husband & I met at 23/24 but didn't get married until 27/28. But perhaps in Japan/China it's common for people to get married a year or two after dating. I think cohabitating before marriage isn't as common there either which would also explain a faster turnaround.

Well yeah I I'm talking about white guys.

I have no idea what my husband's ex or any of my exs' exes looked like. Same as the other commenters, I care more about why the relationship ended and his ability to maintain an LTR. Preselection is a thing but I don't think it's as specific as you are framing. Knowing your man has the ability to attract other woman definitely boosts his desirability. But for most women that just means "does he have a normal amount of relationship/dating experience for his age?". We don't really spend a bunch of…

21% isn't rare Yes this is mostly a matter of semantics. I would say they're rare enough that the tend to get overlooked by society. The virgin moniker itself isn't significant I disagree. A lot of women would not date a virgin after a certain but would be fine with dating a man who's only been in one relationship. I'd also guess most men lose their virginities in the context of a relationship not as a one night stand.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/21 02:24 AM

Point is she still managed to convince a guy to wife her and fund her life. Which for many women is good enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/21 02:21 AM

There are definitely men here who claim all sluts will end up washed up cat ladies and that is the point I'm debating. It is ultimately fairly rare for a woman to die alone. However I will agree with you that whether they end up in happy fulfilling marriages is a maybe.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/21 02:20 AM
6

Well high value is subjective. For a these women a rich betabuxx willing to accept her past is "high value" in her eyes. Can't say whether or not they're happy or will be happy long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/21 01:15 AM
2

63% came in as virgins. 21% leave as virgins. You realize this is proving my point right...? So 80% of men are non-virgins by 22 - 25. Hence, it's rare for men to be virgins past their early 20s. Normal men can't even get dates and men have harder time meeting women than women do meeting men. I think you have a very skewed definition of what a "normal" man is. A normal man is someone who has decent social life and regularly hangs out in mixed gender groups. A guy who spergs out while talking to …

Lol well PPD isn't one person. In the real world marrying an engineer making six figures would be "making it" for most women coming from LMC or MC backgrounds. Desperate men and men that don't plan to stay monogamous. Sure but I'd also argue the women marrying these men don't care as long as he's paying for her shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/21 01:06 AM
6

Nah I've observed the same thing as /u/Mimoxs. My friend was recalling the other day how one of the biggest thots at his college who slept with half their freshman dorm is now a housewife married to an engineer. A lot of "traditionally successful" men like doctors, lawyers, etc want attractive wives for the social clout and are willing to overlook her past if she can keep up the facade.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/21 12:57 AM

It's much harder for men to get laid Only on the context of casual sex. Normal men have no problem getting a girlfriend and it is extremely unusual for a man to be a virgin past his early 20s. The average age of losing virginity for both genders is 17.

Getting NSA sex would probably be easier if you were gay but relationships certainly wouldn't meme. It's pretty much a meme about how hard it is to find an LTR for relationship minded gay because all everyone wants to do is hook up.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 08:50 PM

That's a fair point. Although I think Amazon & Microsoft have a noticeably different culture form the rest of the large tech companies. FB, Google, & Netflix are much younger companies who straddle the middle between unicorns and old school boomer led companies.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 08:09 PM

I'm an L5 engineer and work at a unicorn tech company so I'm not just saying this with no evidence. Like I said we clearly have different experiences so I don't think we're going to come to an agreement.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 07:41 PM
1

Yes I agree on all your points. Although I think a better example is a doctor who goes skiing on weekends will be percieved as higher class (to women) than a doctor who spends his weekends sitting at home playing video games. They may objectively be the same class (wrt income) but the one who engages in pro-social activities on top of being in a competitive field will seem more competent.

female virgins beyond college age tend to have something that makes them unattractive to men - they are usually either very overweight, very unattractive, very poor hygiene, are completely asexual, are religious to a degree that most people aren't compatible with, or have some serious mental issue. To be fair men who are virgins past college are pretty much the same. So it's not unreasonable they'd want a woman with similar life experiences. The problem is when they expect a hot, mentally stable…

/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 07:22 PM

No one ends an LTR over a minor issue. Often what seems like a "minor issue" from an outside perspective is actually a build up of years of resentment. See the famous article "She Divorced Me Because I Left Dishes by the Sink".
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 07:20 PM
1

Sure I worked part time in other industries in college. I also have friends involved in a variety of jobs like fashion, teaching, running bars/restaurants, the military, lawyers, doctors. I'm not saying this because I only know people in tech. I'm saying this because I know people all across the income and job spectrum and my friends outside tech don't have significantly different social lives than my friends in tech.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 07:12 PM
1

And I think you're stuck in a bubble of anti-social people and don't realize the majority of engineers have fairly normal social lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 07:07 PM

But anyways, the fact that you think the average engineer is more social than the average person already means this debate isn't going to go anywhere; that statement alone is joke-worthy. Where did I say they're more social? I said they're equally as social. I also never said H1Bs aren't in FAANG, I said they don't end up in leadership positions (unless they're top 1% cream of the crop). You really need to read more carefully before replying. And I'm not the only one saying this. There's two oth…

In the coastal upper middle class tech scene yes. As I said this is very different from the middle America IT tech scene. Also, something like 50%+ engineers are foreign. Also wrong. Leadership in the coastal tech scene is very white. Most H1Bs go to Java shops not Google. No one is paying engineers from India and China $500k/yr+ when they can get a guy from Stanford.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 06:45 PM

Wrong. The L5+ FAANG guys I know are all normal dudes, many of whom go to clubs, festivals, etc. The only exceptions tend to be foreigners.

Even then she wouldn't be able to tell unless you were standing right next to a 6' person. And if a woman is already into you enough to introduce you to her friends or family she's not going to care that you're "only" 5'10".
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/21 02:25 AM
1

What he means is a woman of average height isn't going to be able to tell the difference between an inch or two. Like if you're dating a 5'5" chick you can be 5'10" but claim to be 6' and she'd have no idea. It's only an issue if you're going to taller ladies.

For profit colleges are scams so they're irrelevant. You're literally just pulling things out of your ass now. I at least have you data that supports my point while you have...random anecdotes? I'm not going to entertain this pointless conversation any longer. Feel free to keep believing 25+ yo students make up a significant bulk of undergrads.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/21 08:26 AM

You're reaching really hard to show marriage has some underlying biological component even though most evidence is to the contrary. If we went by pure biological programming we'd live in a polygynous society not a monogamous one. And to your second point the average age difference between married couples ~2yrs and large age gaps have the highest divorce rate. Most young women don't want to date old men either. Hence, RP cope.

Do you think most people are finishing college with their bachelors? Yes? Only 13% of adults have post grad degrees (vs 40% for bachelor's). I'm sure they're not claiming people are getting married at 22 after getting their bachelors degrees Which is why I pointed out the average age of marriage is 28+. If they didn't mean immediately after undergrad they can reply themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/21 07:56 AM

Oh please this is a BS argument. No one means post grad when they say "after college". If they did they would specify "after grad school".

People are finishing at anywhere from 25 to early 30's. That's plenty of time get married right after college. I don't think people finishing undergrad that late is that common

How do you think that construct came to be? For political gain and religion. Marriage was originally all about joining powerful families and then later became intertwined with faith. Nothing to do with biology. So naturally, according to female logic, you increase your requirements and naturally decrease an already small pool? True, but it's for the opposite reasons, as their pool opens up. Nah this is RP cope. Both men and women's marriage pool decreases as they get older (unless they're willin…

Actively seeking? No, but your biology knew what you wanted and needed. That doesn't make any sense. Marriage is a social construct that has nothing to do with biology. Oddly, as they age, the list gets longer. Yeah that's that "The Wall" is. Women changing their dating strategies because the share of husband material men starts rapidly declining. Eh I disagree. None my friends or I were seeking marriage in our early 20s even though we all got married to the guys we were dating then. To paraphrase what Atlas once said, people in the western SMP date for fun until their late 20s at which point they have a "shit or get off the pot" moment with their current LTR and either get married or break up. The people actively looking for marriage partners are ones still single at 28+

I know a decent number of childfree millenial & gen Z Indians so you're not alone EDIT: Also I think the east coast does have a higher concentration of poor South Asians. That's where a lot of the taxi driver/gas station owner stereotypes come from.

Yeah I'm a west coast Indian and that's my experience too. The Indian aunties I know would have a heart attack if their sons married someone who wasn't at least college educated, although the ideal wife would be a doctor/lawyer/engineer/etc That's why I'm kind of surprised that /u/SmurfESmurferson knows a bunch of Indians who are apparently don't have high education/income standards for spouses.

Yes that's fair. I would say the average STEM person has the social calibration to have a normal life with friends and relationships but isn't going to be pulling new pussy at the club every week.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/21 05:04 AM

Yes I work at a tech company and have friends in tech and most of the people I know my age (20s) went to parties in college and have/had relationships. The brogrammer/coastal tech scene where people are making $500k/yr at 28 is VERY different from the middle class IT tech scene.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/21 04:39 AM

Nah I went to plenty of house and frat parties in college, so did my husband (also in STEM). Although neither of us are much into clubbing. I take it you're never heard of brogrammers or fintech.

Nah just go to any Zoomer media like TikTok. Or look at popular Zoomer heartthrobs--Harry Styles, KPop boys, etc It's also fairly common knowledge that young (< 25) women prefer a more androgynous look than older women. You can see this if you examine that celebrities were popular among Millenials and Gen Xers when they are teens/early 20s as well.

That link only talks about a gender breakdown not age and the conclusion is Bond movies are way more popular with men than women...not sure how that's supporting your point I was pretty young 15yrs ago but I don't ever remember women in their 20s being into him. My anecdotal memory is it was mostly older housewives who were falling over themselves for Daniel Craig. Most young men today are weak, limp-wrist soy boys who have zero masculine traits and are basically androgynous men. Tbf that's what…

How many 20 somethings do you know that are into Bond? Most of the women I know talking about how sexy Daniel Craig is are 30+ Also Bond was written for men
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 07:28 PM

Those women are probably still better than the women their own age they can attract. I only know one woman in my social circle in an age gap relationship (+15yrs) and she's the definition of "plain". Her last ex (who was her age) was shorter than her, skinny and balding. But for the guy she's dating, she is still better looking than the early 40 somethings he can feasibly date. Reality is unless you're a multimillionaire or the top 1% in looks you are not attracting HOT women half your age.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 07:26 PM

Except gays and interracial couples were LEGALLY prevented from being together for a long time. There's never been anything legally preventing you from dating younger so comparing these to gay/interracial relationships is dumb. Once again if YOU don't pursue what you want because of shaming, that's a YOU problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 05:34 PM
2

There's plenty of people who still shame interracial and gay relationships And to answer your second question it's because society as an aggregate has decided age gap relationships are bad. Either grow a pair of balls and ignore it or keep whining about it on the internet.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 05:21 PM
2

I don't really care what consenting adults do. It just gets annoying when RPers make up this boogeyman of bitter old women keeping them form chasing young tail, when in reality most young women don't want them either. Also who the fuck cares if society shames you? If you're such a pussy that shaming keeps you from pursuing what you want that's on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 05:17 PM
1

Because most 20 somethings want to date other 20 somethings. You can go after whoever you want but people are still going to laugh at you for thinking you have a better chance with a 25yo than another 25yo would.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/21 05:06 PM
7

It's really depends on what you mean by "accepted". I do not think the majority of straight women are ATTRACTED to gender non-conforming men. I do not care if a guy wants to wear a dress and makeup but I wouldn't date him. I personally wouldn't consider this a "stigma" (people are allowed to have preferences) but some people get offended that not everyone is into them. Also sexuality /= gender expression. I'm fine with dating (and have dated) bi men but they still have to be masculine in appeara…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 05:33 PM
2

Most short women I know (including myself) don't care if a guy is <6'. I've dated men from 5'5" and up. If anything past 6' - 6'2"ish the height difference just starts getting awkward. I always feel like these guys are taking some minority of size queens and totally discounting the vast majority of women who are fine with men 3" - 5" taller than them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 04:23 PM
6

I'm only 5'3" so I don't think I've ever even met a man shorter than me, much less dated one. The reason you don't see many tall woman -- short men couples is mostly statistics and a little bit of sexual selection. There more short woman than there are tall ones (and opposite for men) + generally women prefer men taller than them (or men prefer women shorter than them).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 05:24 AM
4

Well part of the problem is a lot of socially awkward men aren't forced to interact with a variety of personalities and only make friends with other socially awkward men. And then they never learn the skills to attract women because none of their friends know either. I don't think women are taught how to date either. We're just expected to know how to navigate social situations naturally, which means even the weirdest of us are forced to learn how to date.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 03:04 AM
8

Women are different...we're expected to have good soft skills so even the most socially inept of us will be forced to learn. Men can go a lot longer being social goobers before it bites them in the ass (especially if they're STEM majors).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 02:32 AM
2

Lol I've never dated abusive men and I'm married to a great guy so this form of societal shaming has no effect on me I'm just curious how you're going to convince a wide swathe of men and women to care
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 02:21 AM
9

TRP and it's predecessor PUA has always been targeted towards socially inept men who didn't "just get it". I've said this before but a lot of their theories (like AF/BB, the Wall, etc) are very specifically for late bloomers and don't apply to men who go through normal dating as teenagers and young adults.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 02:19 AM
3

How exactly do you think that's going to happen?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/21 02:15 AM
11

Eh that's not really true. There's plenty of misogynist Chads and sexually unsuccessful Billy Betas. Same goes the other way--there are bitches who look down on men but have no problem getting relationships and feminine PickMes that get pumped & dumped. The key to being sexually successful for both genders is to know when to keep thoughts to themselves. The problem with incels (and femcels) is they sperg out about gender dynamics and spend too much time on it.

I don't have kids so take my advice with a grain of salt. I don't think you have to tell him anything. Most kids naturally start becoming more independent as they get older. I was a huge momma's girl as a kid but at some point in my preteens/teens I stopped listening to either of my parents as much and doing more of my own thing. You and your wife will just have to find the balance between trusting him to make his own decisions without letting him do life-altering stupid things. Also I agree wit…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/21 05:24 PM

When women talking about momma's boys they mean ADULTS who are still dependent on their mom/parents. This can mean anything from your mom still makes your food and does your laundry to emotional dependence (i.e. they do whatever mommy tells them). These guys also expect their female SO to be a second mom which is disgusting to women. There's also an association between momma's boys and serial killers (see Bates Motel, Mindhunter, most popular depictions of psychos, etc) There's nothing wrong wit…

My real life Indian male friends do not care because they all have girlfriends (and some of them interracial gfs). I've only seen currycels online sperg out about it It's also still pretty uncommon for Indians of either gender to date outside the ethnicity. Even dating someone from a different part of India can be a big deal.

Women's bio window is from her teens through 40 but there are circles where she'd be over the wall at 25 whereas in others she wouldn't hit it until 35. That's what I mean by percieved.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/21 09:20 PM
2

Well it's more percieved biological window. Yeah men have a window too but they aren't valued for youth and fertility (on a societal level) hence they're "born at The Wall". This also why it can vary based on your social circle.

Yes this is what "The Wall" is. When women's dating strategies change because their biological window is closing and the husband material men are leaving the market. This is also why the exact age of The Wall varies by your social circle. Men are born at The Wall.

There's no such thing as a homogeneous white culture. You think the white trash on 16 and Pregnant have the same dating standards & culture as a white woman who grew up with two lawyers as parents in the suburbs of NYC? There are certainly issues that are unique to races. For example colorism is more a thing among POC than white women. But most of the LVM issues FDS talks about seem to primarily affect people who grew up poor than a specific race.

Yes the actual physical structure of curly hair means it takes longer for the oil from the scalp to travel all the way down the shaft. When I get my hair blow dried straight at the salon it gets oily within 2 days but my natural texture it takes at least a week. If you combine that with producing less sebum (i.e. dry skin) than the hair doesn't get greasy very quickly. People also overestimate how dirty they get on a regular basis. Unless you're like...working in the kitchen of an Indian restaur…

Oh 100% believe you're being honest. But there's a contingent of RP men who think they can ride the vagina van in their youth then find a 20-something tradwife when they're 40. I just think it's funny that you're verifying what the woman on this sub have said all along--most young traditional women don't like age gap relationships or players.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/21 01:16 AM

I honestly love the fact you're crushing all these guys hopes of finding a tradwife 10+ yrs younger than them who doesn't mind that they have a high N count Good luck on finding your similarly aged + sexual count tradhusband

/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/21 01:00 AM

The mistake you're making is assuming attractive young neurotypical women stay single for any significant period if time. Most women are serial monogamists and will jump between relationships quickly. A year of singlehood is long for women under 25.

Ye I should clarify a lot of my grievances are particular to the lockdowns in WA. I think this state as gone way too far in the opposite direction where we're just economically hurting regular people. It doesn't help that many of our restrictions are nonsensical when examined closely. It does suck that mask wearing has become so politicized when it's one of the lowest effort ways of reducing transmission.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/21 08:35 PM
1

I already wear a mask. I'm completely fine with mask mandates. But your anecdotal data isn't enough to justify killing small businesses and locking people up for 9+ months. I could easily counter with my anecdotal data: I had COVID in the beginning of the pandemic and guess what? It was no worse than a bad flu. I also know tons of people completely flouting restrictions who either didn't get sick or only had mild sicknesses. I also don't know a single person who got sent to the ICU or died. The …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/21 06:45 PM

I actually don't care about mask wearing mandates and I'm not sure why people always use this as a point of contention What I care about is the completely inane and arbitrary rules that are hurting small business such as: no indoor dining but outdoor dining is fine even with tents up and sitting a foot away from someone not in your household indoor gyms are banned (even with masks and lowered capacity) but non-esential big box retail stores are fine (i.e. Zara) fear mongering around Thanksgiving…

I wish but anyone who questions the lockdowns gets labeled a far right nut. Which is hilarious because I literally don't even know any Trump supporters (my entire social group is moderate to far left liberal) yet I know a ton of people who are questioning the validity of the restrictions.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/21 05:44 PM

Just looked it up and no, I'm a bleeding heart liberal who voted for Biden & Obama. And you're proving my point--anyone who questions the new normal gets labeled a Trump supporter regardless of what their actual grievances are.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/21 05:34 PM
3

It's psychological control. People are less likely to question sweeping restrictions in the future when done other the guise of "public safety". See the Patriot Act for similar thing that happened. There's also the straight up fear mongering over something that has a 0.02% death rate for people under 70 with no co-morbidities. And don't even get me started on the bullshit that is "long COVID".
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/21 05:04 PM

I have a friend who started dating a guy 15 yrs older than her when she was 23 and she was made fun of relentlessly by our female social group (and before you ask this guy was neither attractive nor rich so it wasn't jealousy). Ye that's where a guy needs to separate out the advice that's only going to work in a short term relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/20 03:23 AM
3

Yes but that's my point. If you look at the deadbedrooms sub the majority of the men there are in equitable relationships but still can't get their wives to have sex with them. The issue is very rarely chores and more likely to be the man not understanding how to court his spouse. In fact in the "guy who plays video games all day" scenario the woman often DOES want sex but the guy's libido has been destroyed by porn and lack of exercise.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/20 02:56 AM
5

I've seen blue pillers give the advice that doing more chores will make her want to have sex with you. And sure if the guy is a total deadbeat that plays video games all day that might work. But a lot of guys with DB issue are in normal relationships with equitable distributions where picking up an extra shift of laundry duty isn't going to help them. Even in the first scenario is issue isn't so much "not doing chores" but "not wanting your SO to feel like your mother"

The fact that the NIH and most doctors still consider BMI an accurate measure of health tells me everything I need to know about the validity of that "research"
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/20 02:17 AM

I agree with their general ideas about not getting complacent and maintaining sexual interest in a relationship. It's true that a lot of men get lazy about courting their wives and after 20 years wonder why she no longer wants to have sex with him. I also agree that a lot of BP advice like "JUsT do MoRe ChoRes" is dumb (men should definitely contribute equally to household maintenance but let's be real, doing the dishes isn't going to give her that WAP). However like any niche interest over time…

BMI is a perfectly valid indicator of health. It's only inaccurate for athletes and body builders. The "BMI doesn't mean they're obese" has been proven to be bullshit many times. Yes it does. Chris Pratt is 6'2" and said he lost ~60lbs between these pics and Guardians of the Galaxy. If he was on the upper end that means he'd be even more obese before he lost it. You are proving my point that people have a really distorted view of what obes…

This...isn't true at all. My husband was pretty confident in asking my out and clearly he actually likes me since we got married. My previous LTRs were the same. Your question wasn't "would these women get asked out if all conditions were perfect". It's "do these women get asked out". And the answer is no.

Right? "We know women that have never been asked out" "wElL I WoULd aSk ThEM oUt" ok
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 06:26 PM

In my first example, her personality is terrible and her looks don't make up for it. Hence why she needs to ask men out herself. Second example is yes to your questions. She almost never goes outside the house and when she does it's to hang out with her girlfriends in spaces where she wouldn't be approached by men (like our houses).
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 06:18 PM

Do you lack imagination to the point that you can't imagine a woman with the characteristics I listed? And if you want concrete examples, I know two women in my social group who have literally never been asked out. One is below average looking and has an extremely obnoxious personality. Her only relationship was where SHE asked the guy out, and after they broke up she hasn't dated anyone. The other is attractive but she's extremely introverted and has a host of mental issues. No you don't. You just want a pity party about how all women get asked out. Hence the "tHeY juSt Don'T gEt aSked By ChaDs" Once again if you can't imagine that there are women out there that are so ugly and/or introverted they never get asked out, that says more about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 05:56 PM

So you're not here to learn you just want to spew your agenda
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 05:50 PM

Extremely introverted women with little to no social life Very shy women with closed body language (yes body language makes a huge difference in whether a woman will be approached) Deformed or ugly women I just came from a post on r/AskMen where a girl was asking why she never gets asked out irl. It's really not that hard to imagine that there's a subset of women who never get asked out, and if you can't that says more about you
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 05:41 PM
2

Yes I get what you mean. But I think having a life outside your SO can help keep some of that newness.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 05:44 AM
3

Lol there are better ways to keep novelty. Just have hobbies and friends that don't involve your SO. My husband and I have been stuck together 24/7 for the past nine months due to quarantine and we're still not tired of each other because we spend a decent amount of the day doing our own shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 05:35 AM

He calls her his FWB not his gf...doesn't seem very LTR-y to me
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 05:25 AM
13

The correct term is Manic Panic Americans
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 02:48 AM
4

To me an LTR is a serious relationship where you eventually cohabitate and possibly marry. It's the relationship where you refer to someone as your SO/partner/spouse/etc A relationship where you fuck each other a few times a month is not an LTR regardless of how long you've known each other. Simply knowing someone for a long time doesn't make them your LTR partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 02:39 AM
2

American society doesn't even give cohabitating couples the same gravitas as married couples. I doubt non-cohabitating couples are going to be taken seriously any time soon. There's a reason the term "forever girlfriend" still exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 12:30 AM
3

So if I said I was dating the same guy for 11 years and we were sexually monogamous like me and my guy already are, but we didn't live together due to our job locations...it wouldn't be an LTR? It wouldn't lead to betafication. Also many people would not consider people two are dating for 11 years but never cohabitate a serious relationship My uncle is in the military and hasn't lived with his wife of 5 years for more than a few months at a time. One of my coworkers is in a long distance relatio…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/20 12:14 AM

Sure. My point is AF/BB isn't always two different people...it's the same guy with different women at different points in his life.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 11:53 PM
5

The betafication thing only happens in serious relationships because men (and women) can get complacent when they feel they've locked down another person It's obviously not going to happen in an FWB situation (no matter how long you've been together) because a) you don't live together and b) both of you are still "on the market" (even if you're not actively trying to date other people) I get in the most pedantic definition you're in a "long term relationship" but I don't think that's what OP mea…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 11:50 PM
4

Unless you guys live together that's not what people mean by LTR and doesn't apply to this question
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 11:44 PM
3

Aren't you guys FWBs? That's not an LTR
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 11:42 PM
6

Yes. It's extremely common for this to happen as keeping up passion and mystery in an LTR can be hard when you see each every day. Outside the pillosphere this is what people mean by "getting complacent". This also what some RPers get wrong about marriage. They look at older couples and assume the woman married a BB, when it's very likely the guy was AF when they met and only betafied with time.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 11:40 PM

Statistical evidence supports people meeting their similar age spouses in their 20s which is locking them down while young. I'm not going to engage further because you are clearly hamstering at this point

4

This basically aligns with my assessment
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 06:06 AM

I said men & women meet their long term partners in their early mid twenties after a few relationships and both my anecdotal and statistical evidence backs that up. At this point you are hamstering and making nonsensical statements.

They also don't seem to understand that if they're constantly surrounded by high N women that says far more about them and where they hang out than the general state of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 05:00 AM
2

It's fine. You're right it's fine to feel unhappy about your circumstances. It's just a lot of these guys try to make this to be something ALL men experience and that it's somehow women's fault. When in reality it's just some people are born unlucky.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 04:33 AM

I mean that's pretty much it--therapy and luck. Also I'm not here to give solutions to socially inept. I'm merely pointing out it's a minority of men that have many of the dating issues OP is talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 04:15 AM
3

Yes she is. I met my husband at 23 and my N count was 3 (husband being #4). If I had had some more casual sex while I was between relationships it would have been easy to meet #6. A guy who has mostly LTRs and 1 - 2 casual relationships from his teens to his mid 20s could also easily meet or exceed 6. You're proving my point it's only a minority socially inept men who don't understand normal social circle dating in school that have issues
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 04:09 AM
1

Uh huh
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 04:07 AM
2

Marrying at 28 doesn't mean they meet a week before. Most people date for 3 - 4 yrs which aligns with my original comment that people meet their spouses by their early/mid 20s. And the average N count for women is ~6, same as men.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 03:47 AM
2

No they aren't. All of the married people I know are with some within 2 yrs of their age, and most of them met in and shortly after college. This is backed up by statistics showing the average age of first marriage ~28 and the average age difference being just under 2yrs. Again, there is a reason why the mean and median young woman is experiencing sex at a higher frequency than the mean and median young man. Because women have an easier time getting casual sex. But once again we're talking about…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 03:27 AM
-1

Ok? That still doesn't change my point most men in general have relationships in their teens and 20s
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 03:25 AM
0

You can cultivate a social circle outside of school it's just harder and you'll have to be prepared for a lot more rejection. Although half my and my husband's friends are people we met as adults.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 03:13 AM
2

No. We're talking about whether men can "lock down" women while young. I'm pointing out the majority of men already do this (start dating in their mid late teens and find the person they'll marry in their 20s). The men who have zero relationship experience well into their 20s are rare. Casual sex or dead bedroom relationships are a totally separate topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 03:09 AM
1

That has nothing to do with my comment or the question posed by OP and is therefore irrelevant
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 03:07 AM
6

I'm talking about relationships not casual sex
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 03:05 AM

Not having sex in a year /= virgin. Average age of having sex for the first time is 17 in the US. Also I was a computer science major and I know plenty of fellow engineering men who had gfs. My husband was in CS too and he had his first relationship at 18.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 02:59 AM

I disagree. College is one of the easiest times to meet people especially as an underclassman. The pandemic makes it harder but in a normal year I'd tell you to join clubs and talk to people in your classes.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 02:57 AM

Bruh I got an IB diploma and went to a top 20 private college on an academic scholarship. Majority of people I knew in IB/AP had relationships in high school. My high school valedictorian--who was an Asian guy that went to Stanford--had a girlfriend since he was 16. Nerdy men just dated nerdy women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/20 02:53 AM
2

Lolno. Most normal guys have at least one gf before graduating HS and some slightly late bloomers it might not be until college. My ex in HS was a 5'5" nerdy jewish guy--pretty far from Chad--and I was his second gf when we started dating at 17. There's just a lot of socially inept guys on Reddit/PPD
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 11:48 PM
8

"Girlfriend experience" prostitutes are already a thing
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 11:39 PM
22

This is how 99% of men and women outside the internet date. Majority of people start dating in high school/early college with others from their peer group and go through a series of LTRs before finding their future spouses. The men who have zero relationship experience by their mid 20s are a minority that are overrepresented on sites like Reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 11:25 PM
3

Yeah. My point is that heavy makeup is obvious irl so saying it's "deceptive" is silly. I think you'd have to be blind to think this chick wasn't wearing a full face of makeup. At least where I live most women aren't going out with looks like the above on a regular basis so what their faces look like with light everyday makeup is pretty much the same as what they look like barefaced.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 10:41 PM
3

0.5 to 1 boost for light makeup seems reasonable to me
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 10:34 PM
2

Here Looks exactly the same but with a good night's sleep
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 10:33 PM

Yeah that's what I was getting at. I don't see how men can say every day makeup like this is deceptive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 10:25 PM
3

It's not that it's badly blended it's just obvious to me that they have contour on. For example these models Anyway my point was most women aren't wearing full glam on a daily basis and I don't see how light/no makeup makeup is deceptive since it can't change your bone structure.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 10:24 PM
3

That might have been me lol
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 10:21 PM
4

Like on the left I instantly noticed and focused on the nose ring and then her jaw, but on the right I was focusing on her eyes and lips. Interesting. I wonder if this why I, as a straight woman, do not feel there is much of a difference between the pics. But a man would immediately be drawn to the parts that make her attractive or unattractive
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 09:49 PM

I'm going to have to disagree on the contour. Even with professional makeup artists it's fairly obvious to me when they did a contour. However I'll concede it may not be obvious to men. A medium coverage foundation will not cakey, and melt into the skin Depends on the quality of the foundation and the skin tbf.

What I'm getting at is are her actual facial features significantly more attractive on the right? I get her overall impression on the right is better since she brushed her hair and put on a blouse.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/20 09:41 PM
5

What would you rate this woman on the left vs the right? Please state your gender when you answer I was arguing on another post that makeup can't significantly change woman's attractiveness in real life, because anything heavy enough to completely change her face would also look really obvious. I used this pic as an example because to me she looks almost exactly the same in both pics despite wearing makeup on the right. However I was informed by a few men the right is a full +2 over the left. It…

The guys who ask these questions are also the same ones who have little to no female friends and whose dating life almost entirely exists in OLD. Men with thriving social circles who have the ability to date within them don't need to know how to "vet" low N women because they figure it out from experience
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/20 08:09 PM
20

If your main concern is whether the guy will take it slow with you his N count doesn't really matter so much as his personality. Forget about his count and vet for personality. Although given that you're a virgin it's unlikely you hang out in spaces with high N men anyway. If you're a virgin for religious/cultural reasons it's better to date another religious/cultural virgin.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/20 06:36 AM

Yeah this works for guys in the arts (musicians, artists, etc). Being "different" is part of their whole schtick and women into these types of guys love it. It wouldn't work for like...a rugged blue collar type of dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/20 04:52 AM

Mostly it made me aware of the extremely high level of neuroticism among young men and women dating these days. I mean I knew people like TRP & FDS existed but I always thought these were the opinions of a very small minority. Also made me glad I had a mostly normal, fun dating life before I got married.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/20 04:10 AM
5

That's a good point. For me as a woman she looks exactly the same between photos except different lighting and with her hair down. Although then I wonder if it's really makeup that's making her look better or the halo from the long hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/20 08:44 PM
2

A woman with an N count of 1 who is a single mom in her 20s would have a much harder time dating than a woman with an N count of 50 who has no children. OP's point is N count itself does not matter which is still true.

And what I'm saying is they only look "natural" in pictures because compressing 3D space into 2D takes away some of the depth you'd see irl. For example these women look great in this pic but in real life it'd be obvious they have a ton of contour, highlight and eyeshadow on. Actual light makeup doesn't make women look much different than they are naturally. This chick went maybe +0.5 to +1 at the most. And even then this isn't the best example since some of her makeup is still obvious (inner co…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/20 05:37 PM

I said it makes a significant difference IN PICTURES. But anything that makes a significant difference irl is also very obvious. I also don't wear makeup on a daily basis so this doesn't affect me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/20 05:31 PM
7

You're missing my point. A woman would have to be wearing a HEAVY amount of makeup to go +2 pts in attractiveness. It would be very very obvious she has makeup on. Any guy who thinks that's what her face naturally looks like is either blind or an idiot. p.s. downvoting just means I'm right
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/20 05:20 PM
6

Average women look significantly more attractive with good makeup than without it. Not really. A lot of the heavy makeup you see online looks really obvious and cakey irl. For example a woman who has a lot of cystic acne might be able to cover it for a picture but if you saw her on the street it'd be obvious she has a layer of something on her face. Makeup also can't cover up bad bone structure.

I have never encountered a man irl who cared about N count. This neuroses about N count I have only ever seen on Reddit. Wait who argued that it was less risky for men to wait? This is literally the entire basis of the argument for why men prefer women who put out quickly, and why waiting doesn't make sense for the male dating strategy. Go back and read through all the comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/20 10:14 PM
2

I disagree on your second point. As I said, I (a woman) and the majority of my female friends had sex in < 3 dates with our spouses. I also don't care about my N count nor would I date a man who cared. Also we're arguing whether waiting makes sense FOR MEN not FOR WOMEN. Obviously waiting can make sense for women because it lessens the chance she'll get pumped and dumped. It doesn't make sense for men because the "risk" of waiting (no LTR and no sex) is higher than the risk of having sex quickly…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/20 09:30 PM
2

And most of my friends marriages and LTRs started as hook ups as well Look I don't really care if other women want to wait for sex. If it works for them whatever. I'm just pointing out OPs logic for why men should wait is flawed.

Men aren't walking penises incapable of rational thought. The vast majority of guys will walk away if she turns out to be bad LTR material. Sure there are some guys who stay in bad relationships for good sex but there are plenty of women who stay in toxic relationships as well. From a male perspective there is zero risk to having sex in < 3 dates but some risk waiting for many dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/20 12:50 AM

How is she "tricking" the guy. If he doesn't want to have a relationship with her after having sex he can just...not have a relationship.

I hate to say it but I have noticed there's a correlation between high N counts and how likely a woman is to randomly talk about her sex life...
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 10:13 PM

I guess my experience is the opposite. The women I knew who were having lots of casual sex, their partners weren't that much more attractive than they were. Granted this might also be because men and women judge attractiveness differently.

Those guys are mostly mentalcels. They had super overbearing parents and never learned how to socialize properly in the western SMP so now they blame their skin color instead of admitting they're just weird. I know plenty of South & East asian men with gfs. despise tall white men for stealing all their mating stock Lol 90% of Indian people date and marry other Indians, they're the least likely group to date outside their race (at least in the US). Like I said--mentalcels.

Right off the bat you said it's not about looks It's not. Because men of all levels can get casual sex if they stick to their league. Nothing I said contradicts this. You are the one putting qualifiers on who they're getting sex from or how often. Women 5's can move up a lot and have variability and male 5's can do fuck all and get absolutely no play and you know this is true. The variability is far less extreme than people think it is. A female 5 can have casual with a male 6, but she's not get…

Where have I said looks don't matter? OP didn't ask how to have sex with HOT people he asked how to get sex. And there is an entire market of average to unattractive people hooking up. If you're only willing to fuck HB8s when you're an HB5, that's your problem. You don't think the amount of money a man makes could help their SMV Money only matters in the relationship market. Women don't care about the financial prospects of the men they are not in serious relationships with. That's the entire id…

The bar for casual sex is not high. I have a friend who's a 5'4" skinny Indian guy that regularly has casual sex. Yeah...I'm talking about relationships that's last > 1yr. The women you are speaking of did not lessen their RMV from having sex. They never had the RMV to get high value men in the first place. If they did they would have been in long term committed relationships with these guys. Your scenario is more of a typical AF/BB thing. What I'm saying is a woman who is able to attract an 8/10 long term relationship once will be able to do it again, even if she slept with 20 guys in-between. The only lim…

/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 01:01 AM

Yes and I'm saying I've never seen that happen. The women who were dating Chad as 18yos continued to date and marry Chad as 27yos. I've never seen a woman's quality of men that she has relationships with drop because her N count is 20 instead of 2. The only consequences of casual sex that can cause a drop in the RMV is a) being a single parent or b) playing the game TOO long (although that's more due to your dating pool shrinking as everyone gets married)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:54 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:47 AM

No, she is still 50th percentile because she can still get 50th percentile men to date and marry her. Which goes back to my original point--women don't care about N counts because we have seen first hand it has no effect on our dating lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:46 AM
5

A top 5% man is only ever going to date a top 5% woman. A woman who is in the 50th percentile could remain chaste all her life and would still never have a chance with the top men. So what's the point in keeping her N count low if she's going to end up with a 50th percentile guy anyway? Might as well have some fun while she's young
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:43 AM
3

That's only if there's a significant age gap and even then it's only by women. Men who date above their league are always given higher status by other men.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:39 AM
2

Low value is subjective. And women are still getting what they want (a beta provider) so they have zero incentive to keep their N count low
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:37 AM

Men who date out of their league aren't ostracized. It's the opposite--people assume they must have a huge dick or a lot of money or both. Idk what you're trying to say here.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:35 AM
3

Except men are still LTRing and marrying women with high Ns so it doesn't matter
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:29 AM
6

Yeah no shit. You still have to be objectively at least a 6/10 to be in anyone's "top 20%". The point is one woman's 6 is going to be another's 8. I think Adam Driver is incredibly sexy whereas Cumberbatch just looks like a weird alien.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 12:21 AM

2

No. You said the "vast majority" of women get married. Don't change the goal posts.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/20 07:22 PM
2

Yeah and most of my white american friends did not move in with guys they wouldn't consider marrying either. I really think this is more of a UMC/working class split than a western/non-western one. Plus in non-western cultures you wouldn't move in together unless you were already married.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/20 07:19 PM
2

Ok? How does that refute what I said? Marriage rates are rapidly dropping among the working class while cohabitation is going up. People with 4 yr degrees are still a minority in the US so the fact that their rates of marriage are steady doesn't change the fact that is not true for most people.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/20 07:16 PM
3

This is becoming increasingly untrue. Marriage rates are falling and long term cohabitating couples are going up.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/20 07:07 PM

I agree most young (< 25) women aren't entering relationships with marriage in mind but I dispute the cohabitation part. Most women I know (including myself) would not live with a guy unless we were considering marrying him. Of course not all cohabitating relationships lead to marriage but I do think it's something women keep in mind before agreeing to live together. It may also be somewhat class based. For example middle/lower middle class people are more likely to live together out of convenie…

that have experience in casual sex and hence are more resilient against catching feelings from sexual encounters These people are only resilient to catching feelings in the SHORT TERM. The majority of people can't have casual sex with the same person indefinitely without catching feelings. Most casual sex relationships either turn into real relationships or end after a few months. So wrt to open relationships there's still a danger that your SO is going to catch feelings for the other person.

Average OF content creator only makes a few hundred a month. Belle Delphine is by far the exception. Also the reason she's so successful is because she looks like an irl anime waifu so she's very tapped in to the weeb market. I completely agree with you that women have stronger preferences for types. I also think this where the discrepency happens with men claiming women are only attracted to top 20% of men and women claiming they're attracted to a variety. AF/BB is warning for late bloomer men who don't start entering serious relationships until their 30s. These dudes are prime targets for leftover woman as they don't have a frame of reference for what is normal in an LTR. Men who have relationship experience from their teens and 20s don't have this issue. Especially if you date women in your social circle. Unless you hang out with the types of people who have a high N count (which based on your posts I'd assume you don't), the chances a girl in y…

I said the likelihood of her losing her virginity when she's young will increase the likelihood she will have a high N count when she's in her 30's No it doesn't. The average age to lose your virginity in the US is 17 but the average LIFETIME N count of women is only 6. And personally speaking most of my friends and I lost our virginities in high school but had low single digits N counts by the time we got married in our late 20s - early 30s. Most women are serial monogamists.

I mean I love (and have) tattoos but I'd never get a neck or hand tattoo because that would signficantly affect my ability to find a job. But yeah different strokes I guess.

Fair enough. I guess I don't get the appeal of doing something that seems to have far more negative reactions (from both men and women) than positive ones. It seems to me unless you're involved in the sex/instagram modeling industry the affect of having that kind of look is going to be a net negative than a positive. (And even then, there's a other commenter below who is involved in sex work and says natural looking women get better payoff)

I mean if that's you in your history you don't look like the examples OP posted. The only somewhat obvious PS I can see is lip filler? But it's still subtle enough I don't think a guy can tell.

I don't believe you tbh. I've never seen a woman with the obvious "porn star" look in a marriage with a high value man. People find all sorts of people attractive People who have non-mainstream looks can have successful relationships in their niche. For example a woman covered in tattoos and with bright blue hair would do fine with alternative men. But the niche for a woman with a giant, obvious BBL is what? Cumbrained, pornsick guys? I have a hard time believing there's HVMs here.

Do you think its possible though male or female perception of "natural" is somewhat shifted due to the massive amounts of cosmetic enhancement ? I don't think the baseline is being shifted but I do think there's a higher demand for perfection. Both the examples you posted and KKW are pretty extreme as it's obvious from their bodies that they have PS. A better example I think is someone like Scarlett Johansson. She's seems "naturally" beautiful but if you look at old pictures she's clearly had a …

Are they entering in relationships with these women though? I have no doubt there's plenty of dude jerking off to women with the Instagram hottie look. This really depends on what his actions are. If he made it clear from the beginning that this is a casual relationship and the women are still sleeping with him in hopes of changing his mind then yeah, it's the women that are PickMes (lady simps). And your friends in your circle don't mean anything either. Unless you have proof women are turning en masse to sex work I'm going to have to firmly believe you're talking out your ass. Also I run in hyper progressive circles. I think they fact the majority of these women still aren't doing sex work--even though they are the most likely to be ok with it--says a lot about how viable an option it is to most women.

Orr maybe you're just wrong? My friends tell me intimate details about their sex lives with their exes and they know I'm pro sex work. I'm pretty sure they would tell me if they were on OF.

I'm going to add it also depends on the maturity of her friend group. My husband and I are in our 20s but we have friends as old as their late 30s/early 40s that we hang out with regularly. As an adult I've had sex on the first date with all my SOs (including now husband). I could wait maybe three dates? It's hard to say since the last time I waited for sex was in high school, and that's different because my bf and I were both virgins at the time. I would say most women fall into one of two categories--they either want sex ASAP or they will wait several weeks and get to know the guy first.

Interracial relationships are far more common than age gap relationships. Note I'm defining age gap as 10+ years here. And your comparison to gay relationships doesn't even make sense since the % of gay relationships are going to be constrained by the % of gay people. Also the number of interracial relationships has been steadily growing while age gaps are declining. And she is right. One thing I'll point is all these examples are men around their 40s. So there clearly IS a wall for men (at which point they are no longer attractive to significantly younger women, even if they are objectively good looking). It's just later than the one for women.

Small towns are pretty homogenous and I get the impression most people end up in relationships with people they've known their whole life. That doesn't leave a lot of room for an outsider. Whereas cities are so diverse 99% of people will be able to find their niche. It's also much easier to form a social group in a city as an adult.

People just don't want to face the reality that if you want a spouse and kids there's a certain time window where this has to get done. A lot of celebrities (both men and women) do end up having kids super late so this paints a false reality where this is possible for everyone. People ignore the fact that the uber wealthy have access to the best fertility treatments medicine can provide.

The Wall isn't about attractiveness. It's about the change in dating norms that happen as a woman's fertility window closes and their pool of marriageable men starts shrinking. Yes it's possible for a woman to be attractive at 35+ and many older women are actually way more attractive than their male counterparts of the same age. But that doesn't change the fact that a 35yo man will have an easier time finding a spouse to have children with than a woman of the same age. This is both due to the fa…

There are exceptions to the rule, mostly actors like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Leonardo DiCaprio Why does MGTOW always use these guys as examples? It's impossible to quantify since this isn't something you can ask on survey data. But from my PERSONAL experience I've only seen the the AF/BB thing happen once. Most women I know either never had casual sex or their LTR partners are equally as attractive as their casual sex partners. Not HS boyfriends but likely college or shortly post college ones. Also AF/BB implies that women are marrying a totally different breed of men than the ones they fucked. But in my experience most women are serial monogamists, so the men they date in their late 20s are usually the grown up versions of the men they dated as teens. I do think AF/BB happens be I've seen examples of it. I just do not think it happens as often as TRP thinks it does and actually represents a minority of women.

I agree with you on the first point--the majority of women are still marrying the same guys they dated as teens/early 20s. You are wrong about the second though. The men with N counts are also the ones that have little to no standards for who they'll sleep with. It's a simple supply/demand issue--if you're a 9 and only fuck other 9s there's no way you're going to get a double digit N count because 9s are like 1% of the SMP. What a weird thing to say. Having goals in one aspect of your life doesn't mean you have goals in all of them. Most academic and career oriented I know are the least likely to care about marriage or don't care until later in life. This is backed up by the fact that the average age of marriage for educated women is 30. And yes women who want to get married are more likely too. My contention is I do not think most of the women who start dating in college and get married 4 - 5 years later were doing it with the intention of marrying that person. It is more likely once push came to shove they made a decision on engagement vs breaking up, but it is unlikely they were thinking about that from the beginning. I don't believe the majority of 18 - 21 think long term like that

It wasn't a problem bygone eras because no fault divorce didn't exist which made it harder for women to leave husband's they hated. Nowadays large income disparities significantly increase the chance of divorce regardless of who makes more money.

I'm totally fine making more than my husband because he's tall, attractive and has a giant dong. 🤷 Also he does more chores and is very handy around the house. In most LTRs the person who's lower on the socioeconomic scale brings value by doing other things that contribute to the household. Also I don't think difference in finances matters unless it's a HUGE gap (i.e. one person making $50k while the other makes $150k)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 09:21 PM

Interesting. My H doesn't play video games but I would rapidly lose attraction to him if he did nothing but cook, clean and watch tv all day.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 09:13 PM
1

OP said (in a now deleted comment) that if he was a house husband he'd spend his time playing video games and watching tv. I agree you don't need an FT job to be interesting but I do think a lot of men who "aspire" to be SAHDs just want to use it as an excuse to be lazy
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 09:05 PM
1

Well I did later clarify I'd be fine with productive hobbies. They don't necessarily have to income generating either. For example another commenter says she spends hours baking bread, canning, pickling, making intricate recipes, etc and I'd be fine with a SAHD spending his time doing stuff like that. It's when guy only has passive hobbies like tv or video games AND no job that makes my vagina dry.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 08:56 PM
2

Where did I say he'd need to work an office job? You guys sure love putting words in people's mouths in order to prove a point no one made. Successfully streaming/youtube takes the same amount of time as a regular job so I'd be fine with that. However key word here is "successful". I wouldn't date a guy who's not pulling in any money from his streaming and using it as an excuse to play video games all day.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 06:59 PM
5

I think the guys you linked are cute but I'm probably in the minority among adult women. I'm also a weirdo in that I don't have a strong preference for a particular "type" of guy. I would take both David Gandy and Jeonghan.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 05:45 PM
3

It really doesn't make a difference. I'm not sexually attracted to a guy who does nothing with his life. If his hobbies actually involved being productive I'd be ok with that. But a dude who spends 2 hrs cleaning then plays video games all day? Nah.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 04:56 PM
1

That's fair enough. But like I said I think you're in the minority there. Average age of marriage is almost 28 these days so I can't imagine most people take their college relationships that seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 04:55 PM
3

No. Unless the passive income was properties he had to manage or something like that. My problem is that I wouldn't want to be working 40 to 60 hr weeks to support a partner who spends half their day doing nothing. Cleaning and cooking aren't full time jobs (most people do that while also working). And childcare is only a full time job when they're under 5.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 04:10 PM
3

Nope. I'm not attracted to men who get handouts from mommy and daddy. I'll also be completely honest--I would completely lose all sexual attraction to a guy who spends half his day playing video games or watching tv. I'm fine with being the breadwinner (I already make more than my husband) but I would need the guy to have at least a part time job especially after the kids are in school most of the day.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/20 04:00 PM

Uhh it also says: Most men who graduate from college don’t start considering marriage as a real possibility until age 26. Report also says women should date men in the marriageable age range if they want commitment. So I highly doubt the statement you quoted applies to college aged women since most of them are dating other guys around age. Nothing you've posted says there's any significant number of young women only dating for marriage.

We'll just have to agree to disagree since this is all speculation based on anecdotal data. Just ime I don't really see women (or men) dating with purpose until they get to their 20s/early 30s and can't afford to waste another 5 years (if they want families).

If you're talking about your social circle specifically that's fair. I can't debate that. I just do not think that represents the bulk of young, westernized non religious women.

You're saying the bulk of 18 - 25yos you know in major cities only date for marriage? Sorry but I straight up don't believe you 🤷

I don't know a single woman outside very religious ones like this. Pinterest boards Yeaahh I'm going to guess you're from a conservative small town

I mean I could say it's pathetic to have that big of a stick up your ass about dating. Lots of people date for fun and companionship. It's not any different than making new friends except you also have sex with them. And I think you're missing my point. Did you really consider whether the woman you were dating at 18 was a potential marriage partner? Because frankly I don't know anyone outside very religious people who think about that stuff at that age. It's not dating people you don't see a fut…

This preference has been around for thousands of years. It's biology. Also young looking /= children. Men prefer women in their early 20s.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/20 09:07 PM

In fact there may be a higher rate of (for example) neotenous features in celebrities This is true actually. Sophia Loren is a major outlier in terms of her features. If you compare her to her contemporaries like Hedy Lamarr or Audrey Hepburn most other actresses in that era had soft, slightly neotenous looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/20 08:42 PM

Neoteny wrt to sexual attraction mainly refers to the face. Men want women with young looking faces and adult bodies. The majority of normal men aren't attracted to neotenous (i.e pubescent or prepubescent) bodies.

Most young women aren't consciously putting men into "husband" or "boyfriend" categories. It's more when you're young you don't really think about these things. For example when my college bf and I started dating each other at 19 neither of us were evaluating each other for marriage. It just so happened as we got into our early 20s and did start having to think about the future, our paths diverged and we broke up (I wanted kids and he didn't). However I have friends who did end up staying with (…

People with sexual trauma can't just "choose" to orgasm. Also everyone has been talking about their OWN experiences, whereas you are the only one invalidating them by saying not orgasming is a problem. Just because it's a problem for you doesn't mean it is for everyone. If you seriously can't see how misogynistic your comments are idk what to tell you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/20 07:53 PM
14

This is the truth. What is "enough" for a working class woman living in a small town in the Midwest is going to be different from what is enough for a lawyer in Los Angeles. And even there there's a lot of nuance--for example my husband and I are high earners but live way below our means. I think the thread OP linked would be more useful if the women listed their occupation and general location.

Quote me where i did say that. I just did. It's not my problem if you can't express yourself in a way people understand. So you’re saying we should feel lucky to even orgasm with men ? Literally no one said that. The question is "is it possible to enjoy sex without an orgasm?" and the answer for many women is yes. Some commenters even made the distinction between enjoying sex (which doesn't require an orgasm) and being satisfied (which does). I'm going to end this conversation because you are cl…

Umm yes you did I'm just saying that it’s possible to enjoy sex without one. No it's not You seem to be backtracking now that multiple women have called you out. Also you don't get to dictate what is normal and what's not. That's just like, your opinion man. For me enjoyment is deeply tied to emotional intimacy. I had an FWB that consistently gave me orgasms but the sex was still 7/10 because I didn't see him as more than a friend. Whereas sex with my husband is always 8+/10 because I love him. …

You said it's impossible to enjoy sex without orgasming even though there are multiple women telling you that's not true. You seem to completely be ignoring the role of emotional intimacy, build up and even love language which dictates whether an experience is enjoyable or not. I find your black & white view of sex weird and unrealistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/20 05:29 PM

I'm a woman who's been masturbating/having orgasms since I was 12 and I still enjoy sex without orgasms. It's not an either/or. There's a spectrum of bad sex, good sex, and good sex with an orgasm. Hell I've even had mediocre sex where I still orgasmed. Stop invalidating other women's experiences. You sound incredibly ignorant and hateful.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/20 04:52 PM

Also even her profile pic has a very neotenous woman--big round forehead, small jaw/chin area.

The linked tweet also doesn't seem to understand what neotenous features are. Several of the examples she posted have neotenous features (Dorris Day & Carrie Fisher both have big eyes + small chin). She seems to be confusing neotenous with literally looking like a child.

I think it's still a few years earlier than urban people though? It's also harder to date in general in rural areas due to lower population density.

Some women can't use birth control. My best friend still uses condoms with her husband because hormonal BC gives her month long periods and she nearly passed out trying to get the copper IUD.

The kind of people who get married at 35 are also the kind that only have one kid and can afford IVF/surrogates/other expensive fertility treatments
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/20 04:18 PM

I mean people get married later in large cities. So your dating pool will be better in a place where the average age of marriage is 30 vs 23.

Yeah maybe the people who say this are living in more rural/suburban areas? I definitely think a lot of RP people don't live in urban areas based on their experiences. My H and I got married at 27 and we're on the younger side in comparison to a lot of our friends (who got married closer to their early 30s). I think in cities the cutoff for when the dating market gets shitty is closer to 35.

is it true that the people still on the market after 30 are leftovers The dating market is mostly "leftovers" after a certain age but that doesn't mean everyone in the market is a leftover. Doctors & dentists have good reasons to still be single in their 30s--it's pretty hard to establish an LTR while doing med school or residency. Also since you want to date women of the same education level there will be plenty of other lady MDs in the same situation. There's also people who end up single thro…

No I have never felt like I settled for my husband. I can honestly he is both the most attractive AND best LTR material out of all the men I've dated. We met in our early 20s and married in our late 20s. Atlas is correct--the AF/BB thing is a warning for late bloomers to avoid loser women. Men who have normal dating lives in their teens and 20s do not have to worry about this. Also one more thing I'll add is men tend to get betafied during LTRs. I think a lot of RP men are seeing the middle aged…

I am south asian. No one said anything about public nudity. We're discussing attitudes about nude bodies in general. For example I mentioned above in many other parts of the world it's not weird to be naked at a bathhouse with other same gendered friends, but Americans see this as creepy because they tend to sexualize all naked bodies.

Depends on what you mean by friends. I have males in my social circle that I get along with and are easy to talk to but I always hang out with them in groups. My closest friends and the ones I spend one on one time with are all women.

In east asia it's pretty common for men to be naked together in spas or bathhouses with no sexuality involved. Korean spas for example are no clothes allowed (although gender separated). I went to some Icelandic hot springs a few years ago and the "changing areas" were completely out in the open with men and women getting naked in front of each other. It's really more of a western European/American thing.

On the dot about Americans being oversensitive to nakedness. I'd even say it's mostly WASP americans. My POC friends and I used to go to korean spas all the time when we lived in LA and there was nothing weird about seeing each other naked.

Breasts and nipples are an erogenous zone for most women
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/20 07:34 PM

This is the correct answer. Breasts are sexual. But they can also be over sexualized i.e. America's weird repulsion over public breast feeding.

I think they're both attractive. And in what world is the left a dad bod? The left just looks like the right after a day of too much beer and french fries. This is a dad bod.

I actually have one friend like this. Spent her college years and early 20s fucking Chads she met on OLD then settled down with a short enginerd virgin. However she is the ONLY woman I know who did the AF/BB thing. The rest my female social circle (including myself) either married the same guys we were fucking casually or never had casual sex to begin with. The friend in question also has/had an absent father there so TRP is probably onto something about daddy issues...

I think as other people pointed out it really depends on the vibe of the club. I was at a goth club with my husband earlier this year and we were some of the youngest people at 26 & 27. There's also some high brow clubs where it's rare to find people under 25 (usually these places have a high cover charge or drink minimum to keep young kids without money out). If it's more of fratty vibe then yeah, it's probably going to mostly be women around 21.

Ok but 32 still isn't middle aged
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/20 02:26 AM

This isn't true. Most people at the clubs are 21 - 28, so OP isn't hitting on anyone questionably young. And like I said in major cities (like LA & NYC) it's not unheard of both men and women to still go to clubs in their early 30s, since people don't settle down until later. I don't really go clubbing myself but my friends who do are all in their mid 20s.
