How the question was asked can skew results as well. I have not read the article so I can't say if this happened. Example: If you surveyed 100 people "do you sleep through the whole night?" You would get varying accuracy based on how people interpret the whole night. Does that mean 8 full hours? does that mean without waking up to use the bathroom/get a drink? does it mean waking up for any reason? Does it mean waking up for some reasons like getting a text but not for others like taking the dog…

Not proud of it obviously but I'll admit that I've done it before and she has as well. not often and that was one of the first rules we agreed on, we won't threaten to end our relationship, we'll talk through our fights and have better communication. but early relationships, first 1.5 years or so are hard. it takes awhile to learn to change the way you communicate and everything else.

I think as long as both sides are willing to work on their relationship and view themselves as partners rather than individuals together, disputes and ultimatums happen and can be moved past. I know me and my wife have fought about things before and ultimatums were given and we both forgave and grew and found better solutions to differences then nuking the relationship.

Well I agree with you there, and the top comment was sarcastic. I think mine was meant to be mostly sarcastic as well. I'm glad this was not treated in a criminal way. I think if it happened today, 2 14yr boys stripped a 12yr girl it's possible it would be treated much differently, we should change our laws and prosecutorial procedure so that we show equal leniency. But I'll take equal punishment if I can't get that.

it was just love. No, Bill love isn't selfish. You'd think that we could all agree that a 14 year old and a 35 year old should not have sex no matter the gender of either party or what circumstances were. I guess I should have explained that I felt like that would be on top. Once prison budget starts getting hit politicians will start caring about reforming the system. But right now no one has any reason to change the status quo. Ultimately proving false imprisonment is extremely difficult and the number of proven cases aren't large enough for people to care about making meaningful changes.

I think one thing that they should be allowed to do is to sue for backpay for all of the prison labor they have done to match the state average for that occupation. So if they were a janitor in prison making 10 cents/hour and the state average is 9.57/hr then they should be re-compensated the 9.47/hr for every hour.
