It’s a mix of who you aspire to be and identify with - which oozes out of you as you’re mirroring that idealized version - and who you currently are. In terms of your identity when it comes to the woman you met, your identity is what she perceives you to be. Our identity is slightly different from the perspective of everyone we meet. They come with their own biases that stain who we think we are. So, in the context of the woman, your identity is a mix of who you are, who you’re aspiring to be an…

I love this. Thank you for sharing. Being in an intense relationship is like being on acid. You need to write down who you are and remind yourself because you can get lost in the high and lose context. Many more years to you and hope it keeps going.

Damn man, sorry that happened. Every time you think “it’s different, this is it” is when you’re wrong the most. You keep doing what you were doing all the way to the end. You don’t get to lift your foot off the gas, ever.

Never cheat, always break it off first. Weaseling behind someone’s back can’t feel great either. By the way, the sex being good is a common effect of being cheated on. Doesn’t last long and the reality sets in eventually. That being said, shit happens and I’m glad you’re in a good place now. Just make sure it’s not temporary and cheap post-breakup high, the reality might set in for you too at some point when this high wears off and you might regret. Satisfaction comes from within, not from other…

This is probably going to be a bit unpopular but what you need to do is actually turn down what you consider eights or nines to you. Turning down what you consider “super hot” will do more to your confidence that hooking up with them or whatever. Do that enough, and it’ll be normal to you so you’re not short circuiting everytime one talks to you. Then you can proceed with one you actually like, not just one you see first or is purely just “hot”. Side note, you’ll be surprised how massive simps t…

A couple things. One, there’s a difference between dread and abuse, you’re bordering on abuse with this. And two, dread is supposed to be covert and you’re making it super obvious. I’m going to make a massive assumption here from the text you wrote and say you’re actually enjoying this deep down and there’s an element of bragging. I promise you, it’ll hit you like a brick eventually, probably in a few years. It won’t feel good. I would really consider completely stopping what you’re doing man. A…

Been in this exact situation. Although it was painful and felt like rock bottom, leaving after getting my shit together is my biggest regret. Enjoy it while it’s happening.

For sure. Not dismissing your entire claim and I understand what you’re trying to convey. I think it’s just the whole premise is very delicate. If there is any “trying” on your part, as in you’re being deliberate about your attention, then you’ve already lost. Been there and have lost women to both being balls deep in my work and also not at all. Either way, just focus on your passions, everything else is a bonus.

Agree here. Have a purpose that naturally takes your attention because it’s fulfilling and hopefully busy in a good way but find time to be present to whatever person. The moment you’re purposely “ignoring” the woman, you’re finished. Not only are you coming from a weak foundation, aka playing “The Game(TM)” but it’s extremely obvious when withdrawal is natural versus faked. What I found to work, purely by chance is share your purpose when you DO pay attention. Example being, when you finally do…

I’d wager it’s actually more when you’re a skinny poor fuck. The more average you are, the wider the pool.

The last part you mentioned is pretty much why 99% don’t move on. Best thing to do is 1) just sit and navigate that thought and realize it will happen sooner or later and that it’s outside your control and 2) that it has happened multiple times before you came along (maybe even during your relationship).

Been there. Down to every detail you mentioned, kind of wild. Regretted even meeting the person.

Haha no no I did. I was just saying you can get sucked into that behavior and it can lead to lying eventually. Great read, just been around that path and I wish I was just straight up and gave zero fucks the few times I did do that.

Agree on the time part, I’d just warn people you can get sucked in into playing their game and next thing you know you’re lying and manipulating just like they do and you shouldn’t want that rubbing off on you.

I have to disagree to an extent. Just be honest and whatever they choose to do with what you told them is up to them. You’re not feeling sure about her don’t want to rush things and commit? Tell her exactly that if she wants answers. If she decides to move on, cool, if that makes her want to try harder then that’s cool too. Not giving a fuck about the outcome is usually what works best from my experience.

Reminds me of a scene from HITCH, the movie. One of the guys he was training says “this really doesn’t feel like..me” when he told him to wear these new shoes so he can go on a date. Will Smith’s character then goes “you is a very fluid concept right now” or something like that. What you’re feeling is nothing more than being out of your comfort zone and seeing that doing what you have been thinking is “bad” your entire life is actually what gets results so your brain is trying to reconcile these…

Having read the entire book, this might one of the most relevant laws in our day to day lives. Once you’re able to smell this on people, run, run as fast as you can.

This goes for a lot of other things. For example your career. I do interviews with other companies every few months so I always have an offer on hand. Always ready to walk away if need be. This also keeps your skill level in check. Never feel comfortable. There is no “ah finally I can rest” moment in your life. Ever.

I’ll also add that going to a “bro gym” will increase your chances of making quality friends. From experience chain gyms don’t have the best crowd, but if you go to the kind of gym where the owner hangs out there etc (small business gym)… you’ll have a better crowd that’s usually filled with power lifters, body builders etc. Chain gyms always felt like a fashion contest to me.

It’s just me but I couldn’t care less if it happens after me. That being said, it’s a sign of character weakness on his side. You can demote guy friends too, just keep your distance but don’t show you’re butthurt if you are butthurt. Guys with self respect wouldn’t like sloppy seconds.

Great post. I will say though, from experience, avoid being comfortable with the struggle. It sounds counter intuitive but if you’re someone that likes challenges, you will start to get attracted to that struggle and you will start to choose the path that induces the most struggle when other avenues that are easier will get you the same if not better results. I found this out talking to a performance coach. They pointed out that I loved the challenges so much that I was picking them on purpose w…

I definitely get the time part. But even more than that, just the involuntary “feels/excitement” is not there at all. The closest thing I can compare it to is watching a magic trick you already know the solution to.

Light hearted comment here and I’m not sure if it is because of the sheer amount of women I’ve experienced, age or the mindset of RP but I never get “butterflies”, for a lack of a better term, anymore. There is nothing and I mean nothing that I find interesting enough in someone that will make me do what I used to do in my younger days. Examples: spending time after bedtime texting someone, fantasizing about them (potential), telling friends about my excitement etc... It’s honestly a relief.

I said this in a previous thread a few weeks ago, it doesn’t matter if you find a goody good girl. There’s always something lingering that you don’t know about. You can’t know until you know. We’re all here for you man. My heart aches for you but everything shall pass, never forget that. That phrase got me through some really dark times. Good on you for walking away, takes strength.

Like you said in your last paragraph, once you actually “see it” and get ahold of the feedback loop, it’s actually absurd how predictable it is. One thing that blows my mind is how fast they react and change to your cues. It’s really that black and white once you “figure it out”.

Just spitballing here but it always felt amazing to me that these things actually come naturally to (most?) men. You’re only reading this to unlearn what ever garbage you’ve been fed since. All these qualities seem like the basic characteristics of men that shouldn’t have to be learned. After-thought: which I guess why it’s called the red pill because you’re unlearning what you’ve been taught is the truth. It’s funny because I’ve had all my successes when I have restored to my basic instincts. W…

It doesn’t matter then either because you will truly never know, there is no way to know. You’ll drive yourself crazy wondering if there’s any inconsistencies later on.

Here’s a quick little exercise. It’s something I figured out just based on conversations with a past LTR. I asked her her n-count at the beginning stages casually (she asked mine too), then again during a conversation asked her her n-count after a few years in the relationship which at that point we were super comfortable with each other. It was DOUBLE what she said was her n-count during the first conversation. Noticed the discrepancy and asked about it, “it was because I didn’t want you to jud…

You should get jealous, that’s natural and there’s nothing wrong with that. I’d be worried about someone who doesn’t get jealous when they see something they’d want to be a part of or have or whatever it is. Don’t let it turn into to resentful jealousy/envy instead look at it as motivation or inspiration.

Do what you love is my unsolicited advice. Money comes naturally after. Don’t try to make money, try to monetize your passion. Chances are there are people out there who will gravitate towards it. Even more so if they see your passion behind it. THE most important part of any of this is people by the way, just find your own tribe but you’ll most likely have to sift through a lot of people you won’t like.

I’ve seen it a few times, it happens. In my case, it was not respecting money for one, not liking the strings that come along some money so I have a burn it all mentality if I get a whiff of that, and in relationship to RP it’s allowing a woman to soften you up which kills your momentum and messes with your focus.

I tried posting a few days ago but I guess I’m new so it won’t let me. I just discovered this community. I’ll try soon when I can. I’ll give you a short version for now. Got into entrepreneurship when I was 20, built my business into seven figures with offices in multiples continents, flew too close to the sun, broke every power rule possible, made enemies, isolated myself and eventually hated where I was. Tore everything down faster than I built it and now building it the way I want to although…

At the end of the day, your experiences and gut feeling come first. As with any advice, take what you think you need and ignore the rest. If you made a mistake and didn’t take what you needed, well now you know. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah last time this happened years ago, the one who was around at the time left a couple weeks before the eventual bounce back. I was not in control, super needy etc... she’s now begging me to leave my current LTR and texts me how sorry she is for leaving almost every week. Always have to tell yourself “this will pass too” and focus on the horizon. I’m not going to lie, I commend my current LTR for sticking around, however she knows I have bounced back in the past and will again so it’s not a fa…

In the exact same position you were in. Went from 7 figure net worth to homeless. Still building back up, LTR is still here but boy did the dynamic change. I 100% told my self she’s leaving any day now, who knows she maybe still do it. I’ve been here before so I’m calm and figuring things out again. Salute to you for bouncing back up and seeing the truth.
