Czech Republic is not east, it is a Mitteleuropean country with a huge history even for UK perspective, just a little technicality. If you are going to Prague with UK wage I would start to pack my things. Everything is of a better quality there than in UK. Housing, food, woman(yeah I know) and drinks.
