Imo there's quite a bit of toxicity here. There are some good posts but quite frequently the comments are filled with toxic generalizations and complaining about women. It's basically the same as what you see in the feminism sub, except with the genders reversed. One would think that the people here would see the toxicity in the feminism sub and set a higher standard, but that doesn't seem to happen.

Maybe you're not aware of it but girls tend to do this to guys that they find attractive, it's a way of sifting out the chumps that only appear to be confident on the surface, by throwing something in your face they "test" you. If you pass the test, it's very attractive to them. So basically, I wouldn't take these things personally or seriously, just FYI

As weird as this may sound, taking gotu kola and rhodiola rosea, and practicing loving kindness meditation (directing positive/compassionate wishes towards others) and just regular focused awareness meditation (like focusing on your breath) can have a huge beneficial impact on your emotional regulation, ie your ability to keep your calm and not escalate things, because as you probably have recognized, heated arguments and situations is a two way thing. And, get out. Sounds like an awful relation…
